Chapter 2 Superficial calm is not my protective color

The sound of ironclads in the village was still ringing. For these bandits, this has become a daily routine that they will hear every night.

If Qin Bai didn't stay up late to make a blacksmith one day, the bandits wouldn't be able to sleep well without the sound of "bangbang" and the bandits wouldn't be able to sleep well.

The moonlight droops, and as the night becomes deeper, the trees in the mountains look twisted, and the appearance of twitching claws makes people feel cold.

On the distant mountain road, a scholar in white was running in a mess. He was carrying a book basket, and his sweat unconsciously wet his clothes.

His appearance is ordinary, but his face is bigger than that of ordinary people. With his small eyes, his terrified appearance is a bit funny.

The scholar almost fell to the ground when his feet slipped. He looked back at the dark night, and a strange sound rang out of it, and his heart couldn't help but feel a little cold.

"Blessed by Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva blessed by Bodhisattva."

After chanting a few words, the movements in the woods became even louder. The scholar swallowed and his steps accelerated again.

"I don't say that the strange powers are chaotic, and I don't believe it, but I respect ghosts and gods and stay away from it."

Soon he saw the firelight in the distance, which was the village, but the panicked scholar no longer thought so much and instinctively ran towards that direction.

When the scholar ran to the village, he was already out of breath. He held the tree trunk with his hands, his face turned red, and sweat kept leaving his forehead.

Seeing that he was still thinking about going in, two patrol bandits surrounded him from the door.

The bandits were also confused about the people who came to the door. They looked at each other in a glance, then turned to stare at the scholar, but saw that the other party breathed a sigh of relief.

"Several...heroes, there are...and...things...follow me."

As soon as the words fell, some movement was made in the grass not far away, as if something was really approaching.

The scholar felt great fear, and nowhere did he get the strength, but he actually broke free under the encirclement of the two of them and wanted to rush towards the village.

One of the bandits did not give him any chance, and punched the scholar in the brain with his fist and directly knocked him out.

However, the few people did not eat grains, so they must have insufficient strength. The scholar twitched slightly on the ground.

The bandits ignored this person, after all, they were just a scholar without any power. They focused their attention on the grass and saw only a few mosquitoes flying.

The younger bandit subconsciously swallowed and said, "What the hell is there?"

The older bandit said disdainful: "What can I do? This is just a scared yellow-haired child. It must be a wild beast in the mountains. You and I have all seen blood, so you can't be afraid, right?"

He kept scanning the grass with a greedy look: "That's a gift to the door. We haven't filled our stomachs for many days."

"Hehehe, it's late at night, so everyone should have already fallen asleep except for us."

"There is also Mr. Qin, but he won't leave the house easily."

Although Beiyang Mountain is mostly forested, there are very few wild animals for some reason. Even if the bandits set up a large number of traps, they would not gain much in a few days.

They thought of wild animals that could fill their stomachs, so they naturally didn't want to miss it.

Seeing this, the two looked at each other, held a long sword and touched it. If the prey was large, they would make some noise to attract the brothers. If they could handle it, they could just swallow it themselves.

But for some reason, the closer they got, the more nervous they felt in their hearts. They couldn't help but think of the panicked look of the scholar before.

When they arrived in front of the grass, before they could react, a slender hand gently pushed away the weeds.

Under the dumbfounded eyes, a woman wearing thin silk and beautiful face slowly walked out of it, and her soul was directly concealed by her frown and smile.

The woman covered her mouth and chuckled a few times, but she didn't speak, but just stroked the chests of the two with her slender hands.

The two followed the woman into the grass with dull faces, and then the movement became a little bigger, and the weeds in it were dyed bright red at some point.

After a while, the woman slowly walked out of it again. She shook her hand and threw away the blood from her fingertips, and then headed towards the village.

The door was empty, and the scholar seemed to have woken up during this period and took the opportunity to sneak in.

The woman leaned over and picked up a brush that fell out of the bookcase from the ground, put it on the tip of her nose and smelled it intoxicatingly, and even stuck out her tongue and licked it gently.

After crushing the brush hard, she turned her eyes to the mountain village, her body melted into the darkness, and screams rang out one after another, echoing in the middle of the night, extremely creepy.

Qin Bai was still tying the iron. He had no habit of going to bed early, and when he heard the movements from outside, it was even more impossible to fall asleep.

"Damn it's here again..."

His tone was resentful, but there was no trace of fear. After adjusting the iron block with his hand, the hammer continued to smash it down.

As the village fell into peace again, the sound of rapid footsteps sounded from outside, and soon the wooden door was opened from outside. The scholar rubbed the back of his head with his hands and walked in with horror.

He was also stunned when he saw Qin Bai, mainly because he did not look like an ordinary person, and there was obviously such a big noise outside, so how could this person be so calm?

But the scholar didn't have time to think too much, so he turned around and blocked the wooden door. As long as he could hold on until the sun rose, the demons outside would naturally retreat.

But the noise caused by the sound of iron striking was too loud. Soon there was a knock on the door outside the door, and then the door was pushed open with great force.

In the scholar's extremely shocked eyes, the woman walked in from outside with her mouth covering her mouth. Her long hair and gentle temperament were like a lady from a family.

But when the other party moved his palm away and revealed a mouth that was grinning to his ears, the last trace of luck was indifferent.

When this demon appeared, Qin Bai's ironwork was not only faster, but also became louder, attracting his attention to him.

The demon stared at him with interest. Although the energy and blood were different from ordinary people, it was just a stronger livestock.

She hooked her hand at the scholar, and the other party was so scared that he rolled back to the corner of the house, placing all his hopes on Qin Bai.

The demon laughed and grabbed his palm from the air. The target was Qin Bai. He only heard his muffled groan, and then his skin turned into a blood-red color.

Then blood flowed out of his pores, and the amount of bleeding could make ordinary people's eyes dizzy and lose their strength immediately.

The scholar felt guilty. If he hadn't been in a panic, he wouldn't have killed so many people.

In fact, except Qin Bai, no one in the counterfeit village has carried more than a dozen lives on his hands.
