Chapter 24 Flathead Suspicion (Part 1)
There was a wind outside, and the birch leaves kept ringing.
It was past three o'clock in the evening, and Han Xuan screamed in his sleep.
The parents next door hurried over and saw that their son was still asleep. They guessed that he was just having a nightmare, so they calmed down.
My mother quietly came to him and gestured to Han’s father to twist the towel. My father nodded and walked out with a slight hand and foot.
In the nest beside the bed, Fat Ding also woke up, looking a little anxious, and was walking around the bed. Finally, he jumped onto the bed, lay down beside the boy before he calmed down, curled up into a ball, leaning against him.
The night passed like this.
Han Xuan woke up from his sleep in the early morning. Today, the sun was covered by dark clouds. It looked like it was early morning at around 7 o'clock.
The desk lamp in the room was not turned off, the light was a bit dazzling.
Han Xuan half-squinted his eyes and stretched his waist on the bed, as if he had touched something. He looked at him with his head tilted and found his mother sleeping beside him.
Although he didn't know why his mother was here, Han Xuan did not wake her up. He tiptoed to get out of bed and found that Fat Ding was also next to the pillow, and was looking at him with wide eyes.
Today, Han Xuan's head was dizzy, as if he had a cold, so he got up and put on his clothes, pushed open the door and walked out.
My father was preparing breakfast in the kitchen, and the simple lean meat egg porridge was served with a plate of side dishes. When he saw his son coming out and asked, "Where is your mother?"
"I'm still sleeping, why did she come to my room yesterday?"
"Don't you know that you have a nightmare? Your mother has been with you all night and it seems that she just slept, so she asked me to go back to the room first."
"Nightmare? I didn't. Maybe I had a cold and I was a little dizzy."
Han Qianshan's movements froze, put down the spoon in his hand, wiped his hand on his pants, and leaned over Han Xuan's head.
"It's better if you don't have a fever. Call the doctor later and ask her to come and see." The father exhaled, and had no intention of getting breakfast again. He walked to the living room without even turning off the fire, picked up the phone and started talking to the doctor.
The boy covered his head and lay on the sofa, suddenly feeling a little uncomfortable. He had never been sick since he was a child. This feeling was both familiar and unfamiliar.
The father put down the phone and walked to his son to see him. His face looked a little anxious. When he smelled the smell of the air, he remembered the kitchen and hurriedly ran to turn off the fire. He placed the pot outside the door, opened the window slightly, and soon walked back.
Sitting next to his son and leaning his head against his lap, Han Xuan fell asleep again.
My father kept his posture motionless. I don’t know how long it took, and there was a knock on the door outside. Suddenly, his legs seemed to be a little numb. He took a long walk before he could recover. He opened the door. It was not the doctor he expected to stand outside, but the old cowboy Barton.
"Han Xuan seems to be sick. If something happens, let's go out and talk about it." Han's father walked out and closed the door so that the wind would not blow into the room.
Old Patton was stunned and hurriedly said, "I'm sick?! What's the disease?"
"I don't know, my body temperature is still normal, I fell asleep again when I woke up in the morning. I just called Dr. Lucy and she should be coming from Augusta Hospital soon."
"How healthy he is, God will bless him. Boss, don't worry, it will be fine, why don't I go and see him."
"No need for Patton, he's asleep."
Han's father said, habitually trying to touch his pocket, suddenly remembering that he had quit smoking for many years, and then put down his hand: "Is there anything wrong with you here? Patton."
"By the way, there are three people who are exploring in Flathead Park. They come to our ranch in the morning and want to rest here for two days."
"Is there any empty house? If not, lend them Augsger's house and you can deal with it."
"Okay boss."
Old Patton replied, seeing Han Qianshan absent-minded and didn't say anything further. When he saw a white car coming, he shouted, "Doctor is here?"
"where?!"
Dr. Lucy is the one who delivered Han Xuan at the time. Now he has been poached by Augusta Private Hospital as the director. He has a lot of experience in obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics.
Taking the stethoscope from his ear, Dr. Lucy said, "He has no illness. Take it for two days and then take a look. Han, you are too nervous."
Han Qianshan shook his head: "It's okay, thank you, it's just that such a thing has never happened before, I'm a little worried about him."
Just now, Guo’s mother was woken up by the sound of talking outside. When she came out and saw a doctor there, she hurriedly asked: “What’s wrong?!”
"It's okay, my son seems to have some cold."
"I'm so scared, is he okay? Doctor Lucy."
"If you are worried, I will go back to the hospital with me and have a closer examination. The boy is sleeping now, and I don't know how he feels, so I can't draw a conclusion."
"Then do it, Dr. Lucy, do you need to wake him up?"
Lucy looked at the boy on the sofa. His heartbeat, his face and body temperature were fine. He also felt a little strange. He nodded and said, "Okay, I'll wake him up."
Han Xuan felt that he had just floated in the night sky, and now he suddenly fell to the ground. He suddenly opened his eyes. Seeing that everyone in the room was looking at him, he scratched his head and said in confusion: What's wrong? Aunt Lucy, you are here too."
"Can't you feel sick?" The father looked at him in confusion.
"Sick? No, I feel good now."
"Doctor Lucy, let's go to the hospital now." Guo's mother seemed to have not heard him, picked up her son and walked into the car. Han Xuan's weak resistance was soon suppressed by her.
Hummer followed closely behind the ambulance. Augusta town is the closest town to the ranch and arrived at the hospital in more than half an hour.
After a detailed examination, Dr. Lucy concluded that calcium deficiency.
Yes, the others are very healthy, but they are a little calcium-deficient during the growth period. After opening a few bottles of calcium tablets, he was allowed to go back.
Guo’s mother was still a little worried, but the inspection report was right in front of her and her son looked very good, so she followed the father and son to the garage.
The family rushed home before noon, and the weather was still as gloomy as in the morning.
The old hen in the Hailan chicken flock was considered a disaster. Now it has been condensed into essence and brought to Han Xuan. This was prepared by Old John's wife and Aunt Kelly. It has been hot on the stove and will be delivered to him when he gets home.
Seeing Aunt Kelly's look of anticipation, the boy gritted his teeth and poured the thick layer of oil in one breath. Unexpectedly, the taste was actually pretty good, and the warm chicken soup was particularly delicious.
Seeing the boy's expression, Aunt Kelly took the bowl over and filled it in front of him: "We raised it ourselves in the ranch. I heard that you are calcium-deficient, and the bowl is full. There is enough chicken soup in the jar, so drink it."
"……Thanks."
After half a day of cultivation, Guo's mother finally let Han Xuan get out of bed, and supported her son like she was taking care of a patient, which made the boy roll his eyes repeatedly.
In the evening, the dark clouds finally dissipated. I had too much dinner just now, so Han Xuan led McDull around.
He found that his connection with McDull seemed to deepen, and he could feel its pleasant mood at this moment.
When I woke up in the afternoon, I noticed that the kitten was unhappy. It really turned against it and immediately beat it up.
There is no worries about too much debt, and there is no itch when there is too much lice. Han Xuan’s typical dead pig is not afraid of boiling water. Anyway, nothing happened in the hospital examination yesterday, so he just let him go.
Passing by the wooden house where the cowboys lived, several young people came into Han Xuan's sight, and had never seen them before. These were two men and one woman, one of them, one of them was wearing only a sports vest, his arm muscles were covered with tattoos, while the other was smiling and talking to Anderson.
The woman has short hair and looks very delicate. She packs her hiking bag next to her, and looks very heavy.
He called Martinez, who was about to go home for dinner, and the boy asked, "Who are they? They are the ones who talk to Anderson."
Martinez bent down and found that he was still taller than the boy, so he simply squatted in front of him and muttered in a low voice: "They came here in the morning and are going to explore Flathead."
He reached out and pointed to the other side, "The woman's name is Cassandra. She works as a restaurant waiter in Cody City, Wyoming. The one with the tattoo is Jason, who also comes from Cody. She is a tattoo artist. The other one didn't say that, she only knew that she was called Clay, but I heard that my accent seemed to be from Washington."
The boy looked at the big black man speechlessly, and Martinez said curiously: "Why do you think of me like this?"
"I think you know a lot."
"Of course, there was a Washington who came to my dormitory in the past, with the same accent as him. Why are you doing here? Do you want me to send you home?"
"Don't worry about me, you can do your own thing first."
Martinez stood up and waved his hand and said, "Okay, goodbye."
Watching him leave, Han Xuan shook his head and looked at the back of the big black man, muttering in a low voice: "Don't underestimate the gossip of a black man..."
Just as he was about to return, the boy took two steps and turned around and looked at the people next to the house.
