Chapter 6 BBQ Dinner

The sun hangs high in the sky, and the slightly warm spring breeze swept across the grassland, full of vitality.

Cattle and sheep are scattered in the snow-capped farm. They are particularly peaceful and have too many delicious grass. They just finished eating the grass tips today and emerged again tomorrow.

This situation did not last long. Today, the quiet pasture became noisy, with large trucks pressing on the dirt road, and a piece of dust flying from a distance.

The Angus cattle and Symental cattle purchased two days ago were finally shipped. They were both half-year-old calfs and had to be fed for a whole year before they could become fat.

Four trucks went back and forth several times, and finally transported more than 2,000 cows before the sun set, with mooing one after another.

They stay in the pen in batches, and have to wait for a few days to quarantine to confirm whether they are healthy before they can merge with the original herd of cattle in the pasture. The cowboys don't want to suffer any unnecessary losses from the pasture.

The calves don't feel restricted, because they are hungry and are happily eating fat grass, which is really delicious grass, right?

There are three adult cows in the Simmental herd, which Albert generously gave. They will lead the way and allow the calf to adapt to the situation here quickly.

But it doesn't seem to be useful. Those three guys who were almost eating their tongues can't remember the group of calves around them. If they could speak, they would definitely raise their cow's hooves and shout: "This must be the best grass we have ever eaten in the 4 years of cattle birth! Come on, the kid by the railing, give me another two pounds!"

Han Xuan lay on the fence, holding a dog-tail grass that he picked out casually. Seeing the adults busy and smiling, he could feel the joy of these cows.

McDull chased the colorful butterfly behind him, happily swaying his tail, his tongue stretched out and hung it slanted to his mouth, occasionally falling, rolling and standing up again, let alone, it really looks like a dog.

"It seems we can't keep it with the Labradors anymore."

Xiao Hanxuan thought speechlessly, jumped off the wooden railing, raised his hand to slap the dust on his body, and jumped toward the wooden house.

Guo’s mother and several women were returning from the vegetable garden. Others had just sprouted lettuce, but they saw them here in advance, all thanks to the greenhouse.

Today is Han Qianshan’s 31st birthday, and a barbecue party will be held in the grass in front of the yard in the evening.

Gatherings are so common in North America. Anyone who has a small incident can greet a large group of people. They will hold happy meetings and sadness will hold them. Newly-weds will celebrate, and even death will inevitably be a party. This kind of activity will accompany the lives of Americans.

Snow Mountain Farm is already reserved, only a few games a year, and life is too boring. Of course, this is the opinion of several ranchers around. Today they also received an invitation and were about to set off from home.

We wouldn't be there so early on weekdays, so as not to look embarrassed if the owner is not ready.

They obviously did not have such concerns. After spending ten years together, Han Qianshan, the master, has a pretty good reputation.

It is not like New York where you have to wear formal clothes for parties, as long as the clothes are neat and tidy here.

Of course, exquisite pastries or small gifts are essential, which reflects the sincerity of the guests. Sometimes a bottle of wine is enough. The gathering is still the time when the hostesses compete in cooking skills. Bread and pastries can best reflect this.

So not only are the guests busy baking at home, but Han’s mother also put on an apron to show off her skills. She is the best craftsman in the circle around her, so she can’t lose her face.

There is never a shortage of cattle and sheep in the pasture. For today's party, I sent a cow to the slaughterhouse in the morning and jumped out lively, and when I came back, it turned into delicious food.

The big guy with a thousand pounds was more than 600 pounds after slaughtering. The meat was moderately fat and thin. He cut the best tenderloin on the beef, which was covered with snowflake-like fat patterns, which won the woman's cheers.

The ranchers were expressionless, but were envious in their hearts. Most of them were inherited from the pastures for hundreds of years. Who would be embarrassed to say that their beef was actually worse than a guy who had just raised a cattle for a few years?

Even if this is the truth, you must endure helplessness, pretend to be calm, and nodify to praise.

Han Qianshan was greeting the guests, but when he saw their expressions, he was immediately happy. What's wrong with this constipation...

The barbecue grill has been put in place, with seven or eight.

The pastries started to be placed on the long table, and the food brought by the guests was also included.

It seems that a group of children from a few years old to teenagers play together. There is no way, the land is vast and sparsely populated, so it is not easy to meet a partner of the same age.

Han Xuan didn't want to play with them, so he went to the ranch alone. Which adult in his twenties played the game of police catching thieves with children?

Xiao Han Xuan thought, but in the eyes of his parents, he is only a seven-year-old baby, and it is really distressing to keep making more friends.

He walked home slowly, and McDull, who was very terrifying, followed him. The sound of a small bell came all the way. As soon as he arrived at the gate of the yard, he heard his father's voice: "Son, hurry up and greet the guests, they have asked me about you a long time ago."

"Come again," Han Xuan nodded helplessly: "Okay dad, I will take good care of them."

A group of teenagers didn't care about his little adult appearance, so they surrounded him and spoke in a word: "Han! Last time I was taken home by my dad, and I haven't finished listening to that story! Why don't you tell us again!"

He is a child of the nearest neighbor Augsger Ranch, more than ten kilometers away, Balze, a very handsome Latin guy.

"That's it! It's really wonderful!"

"Brother, I want to listen, I want to listen!"

The boy and girl voices were mixed together, and Han Xuan was so quarreled that he could only shout loudly: "Okay! But don't pull my pants anymore, okay? Where are you touching!"

A slim hand suddenly shrank back and pulled the wrong place...

Han Xuan sat cross-legged on the grass, with more than ten children sitting in front of him. No matter how you look, there was a sense of the old monk's preaching, and a tender voice came slowly: "'Welcome to Hogwarts,' Professor McGonagall said,' The school banquet is about to begin, but before you get to the restaurant, you must first determine which college you will enter...'"

A bunch of kids stared wide.

Under the eaves, Han Qianshan smiled slightly when he saw this scene, while the other ranchers looked at their children, feeling mixed in their hearts, and they didn't know what it felt.

"It's fine if the ranch is not as good as it is, no matter how my son is, alas..." The strong airflow that exhaled from sighing can cause a sandstorm in China in half a month.

It was soon dark, and the dried vines began to burn, which was the best wood for barbecue. Pieces of tender beef and mutton were placed in blue and white dishes. Even in foreign countries, you could feel the exquisite charm.

There was a sizzling sound from the barbecue grill, and there was a lot of grease in the meat, so there was no need to brush oil. This was the most delicious thing, and the air soon became full of fragrance.

The children stood up reluctantly at the urging of the adults, and looked very resentful when they wanted to speak but stopped.

Han Xuan then breathed a sigh of relief, coughed twice, his throat was a little hoarse. He wrapped two slices of beef in lettuce, sprinkled with cumin and bitten it hard, and breathed a sigh of relief.

How can the party be lacking in fine wine? There is a small vineyard in the ranch. The wine produced is not particularly top-notch, but the taste is very good. Today, the guests are very satisfied, which can be felt from the laughter and joy. I loudly congratulate Han Qianshan on his happy birthday and raising his glass to drink it all.

The wildness of cowboys does not need to be hidden, and the children look at the wine glasses in their hands enviously. They want to know what secrets are hidden inside. They have to wait until they grow up to get the answer they want.

Although Han’s mother was busy, she still couldn’t hide her smile. The food soon disappeared was the best comfort for her.

McDull ran around the crowd, and both adults and children liked it very much. After eating lettuce leaves and carrots, his big face was full of smiles and kept rubbing against Han Xuan.

The night gets deeper and the party doesn't stop until after ten o'clock.

The guests cleaned the yard before leaving, staggered and walked into the car, and it seemed that their wives could only drive it. They were all endless grasslands, and there were no vehicles, so they were not worried about any danger. As for drunk driving, no one would even come to check it.

The children made an appointment to continue listening to the story next time and embarked on the way home with satisfaction. They didn't pay any attention to the resentment of Han Xuan, the storyteller.

Old Patton and John were worried and went to see the calf again together, with a long shotgun behind them, and the grassland was not as gentle as it looked.

Back in the room, Xiao Hanxuan took off all his body and washed the barbecue smell. He was with him the reluctant McDull.

After the hair was blown dry, the two little guys lay on the bed. Han Baobao held McDull and smelled the fragrant soap smell. After a while, he fell into his dream.
