18. Is this power?

"This is a new agent based on Lightning Six, not in our database." Zheng Ran held the report, suppressed his anger, staring at Zhang Bolin sitting in the hearing room.

"Unlike the previous lightning series of agents, it does not stimulate the nerve reflex area, but directly stimulates DNA, causing the human body to produce - mutation in a short period of time." Zheng Ran took a deep breath, as if it was becoming increasingly difficult to control himself. His assistant was a middle-aged man in his forties. He stepped forward and pressed his back, hoping that he would calm down.

"Why not in the database! You're fouled!" Zheng Ran finally yelled at Zhang Bolin.

"I made it last night, and there was no time." Zhang Bolin replied calmly.

"Do you think I'm a second-year student?" Zheng Ran became even more angry. "A project that is so huge can't be completed overnight!"

"I have an experimental diary," said Zhang Bolin, "in the database, the file name is: Plant Reaction."

Members of the scientist team immediately took out their tablet computer, started searching for the database, and handed it to Zheng Ran. Zheng Ran glanced and pulled it to the bottom: "Where is the animal experiment? Where is the animal experiment report!"

"No." Zhang Bolin curled his lips, "No animal experiments were conducted."

Everyone was shocked.

Except Duda.

Duda knew that he had become a guinea pig, but he didn't realize how bad it was.

How far has science reached the current level of understanding of genes?

Humans have realized that genes determine human birth, old age, sickness and death, and even external forms.

It exists in the DNA molecule, namely the DNA molecule, in every cell of the human body. The DNA molecule is composed of two mutually coiled chains on the chromosomes in the cell nucleus, and each chain is arranged longitudinally by the ends and ends of "single components". This single component is called a base.

There are four types of bases, abbreviated as A, T, G, and C. They are arranged and combined to form a gene.

At present, Earth Science and Technology is still in the stage of drawing and interpreting gene maps, which are to figure out which A, T, G, and C are arranged genes and which are not; the arranged genes determine what kind of human form and behavioral ability.

This work is like throwing a complete set of Shakespeare to the native Africans, asking him to write a paper with a doctorate level in literature. At the same time, the natives do not understand English, and there are no punctuation marks or space segments in this complete set of Shakespeare.

Even if a person is a genius, he can use genetic drugs on the human body without animal experiments, which is not much different from murder. Moreover, directly conducting human experiments that are not informed of risks has broken through the moral bottom line of scientists.

"Zhang Berlin is an American citizen, and we advocate immunity against him." Lieutenant General O'Neill knew very well what this meant and took the lead in breaking his silence. Even if he hated Zhang Berlin, as a soldier, he must protect his national dignity and citizens.

"The victim is a Chinese citizen and we enjoy judicial jurisdiction." Yang Xi did not show any weakness.

"You bastard!" Zheng Ran rushed towards Zhang Bolin, strangled his neck tightly, and was so scared that the Russian policeman on the side hurried forward and pulled him away.

A warm feeling appeared in Duda's heart: Although he didn't have much contact, he cared about me so much...

"You bastard!" Zheng Ran cursed, "He holds the key to this spaceship!"

"If he cannot make any breakthrough, then this key has lost its meaning of existence." Zhang Bolin said with an innocent look on his face.

——Uh? This... is very disappointing!

Duda instantly turned from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. He thought again: Is this what his superior meant? He let himself inject a drug that is obviously dangerous... It was just said by this mad scientist.

"Do you know the difference between science and crime?" Zhang Bolin rubbed his neck and stood up. "I succeeded, he was not dead, the drug worked - this is science. And this potion was developed based on the genetic sample of Lieutenant Du. Animal experiments cannot explain anything at all. You are just jealous of me."

"You have lost the bottom line of a scientist." Zheng Ran said angrily.

"Are you qualified to say that? I found something interesting in your experimental diary." Zhang Bolin said calmly, "You know the risks of using the residual genes of alien plants to conduct genetically modified experiments on Earth plants, right? Dr. Zheng Ran."

The other scientists present exclaimed.

"Don't divert your attention!" Du Da still stepped forward to help Zheng Ran excuse him, "What should I do if I do in this situation now!"

"Continue to go back to work." Zhang Bolin said very easily.

"We must submit it to our government." Li Weijun finally made a voice, "and Dr. Zhang Bolin cannot leave the control of Chinese soldiers."

"You are threatening to control an innocent American citizen! This is the declaration of war!" Lieutenant General O'Neil roared.

"We suggest you inform the governments now that Dr. Zhang Bolin can be unscathed under the protection of the Russian army." Major General Polodin controlled the situation in time.

The Chinese side took the lead in withdrawing from the Russian military base, returning to its office, and reporting to the capital. The originally arranged celebrations and vacations were all postponed indefinitely.

The Americans left behind two special forces members to protect Zhang Berlin, and then went back to inform Washington of the accident.

While Li Weijun was conducting video communication with him, Yang Xi was comforting Du Da's emotions in the office.

"Actually," Du Da glanced at Yang Xi, "You said I don't have the sense of honor or integrity as a soldier... I really don't think it's necessary to worry about this issue now."

Yang Xi didn't expect Du Da to have such a big picture and awareness, and was a little surprised.

"Today I found the mothership of the starfish spacecraft." Duda briefly introduced his progress. "In the end, when I was awake, I felt that energy imprint. This gave me an idea."

"Tell me." Yang Xi took a bottle of Coke from under the table, which is a rare product on the moon.

Duda opened the bottle cap, took a sip, and said, "When you first came, you could only enter the hangar and residential area. This is very similar to the treatment of ordinary guests. For example, when Zheng Ran went to my house, I would at most let him enter the door and walk through the yard and sit in the living room."

Yang Xi nodded.

"After I got the authorization, I discovered the ecological area and the monitoring room. This is a bit like a boarding relative or friend." Duda said, "For example, if I live in your place, you can use your bathroom at will, right?"

Yang Xi felt that this was a bit frivolous, so he raised his chin and asked him to continue, without any expression on his face.

"Now, I've got another authorization," Duda said with certainty, "so I'd love to know... what's behind the door."

This was not beyond Yang Xi's expectations, but she suddenly had an impulse. This impulse was like the motherhood burned in the genes... Yang Xi herself didn't know if it was right or not, but she still closed the doors and windows to death, turned on the playback software on the computer, and the almost roaring "National Wind" suddenly filled the entire office.

Du Da looked at Yang Xi coming over in a daze, pulled a chair and sat opposite him, unconsciously his heartbeat accelerated a little.

"Do you know what this imprint represents?" Yang Xi lowered her voice. It was hard for her to believe that she had no monitoring in the kilometer.

"The key to the moon?" Duda hadn't reacted yet.

"There are two kinds of people holding the keys." Yang Xi paused word by word, "One is to look at the door, and the other is to hold power."

Duda suddenly realized!

Once upon a time, the otaku who was lying on the sofa actually held the only key to the moon!

Damn, Zheng Ran has already used the last energy reading spectrum to simulate energy reactions!

Only then did Duda realize that he had given this power to someone else for free.

but……

"I can't control such a big moon..." Duda said.

"There is no power in the world that is truly unrestrained, even tyrants are still subject to invisible constraints." Yang Xi suddenly said like a philosopher, "It is very suitable for you to use these powers in exchange for a bright future."

Only then did Du Da realize that the gap between him and Yang Xi was not gender, not intelligence, but life experience. The gap in life that has accumulated over the past ten years, the gap between the colonel and the second lieutenant...

Yang Xi suddenly realized that his mentality was wrong. From the first one who had just graduated from the military academy, he has reached the current two digits and four digits in ten years. Maybe he could wear the general star in the middle of his hand, but the passion of the soldiers gradually cooled down. He actually said such unhonest words to a subordinate, junior...!

The guilt made Yang Xi stand up and turn off the computer.

"Thank you, Sister Yang." Du Da thanked sincerely. At the same time, he also began to think about a profound question that he had never thought about.

——Where is my future?

——I don’t want to be in this cold and big spaceship, it’s so big that it makes people feel insecure. I can’t walk up all my life by masturbating. Sooner or later, I will be exhausted and thrown to the veterans’ retirement room to play mahjong, or even more tragic... What kind of life do I want?

——I want a stable environment, stable economic income, a loving family, a beautiful, gentle, understanding and able to manage my family... My future is on the earth!
