Chapter 78 Hagrid's Disaster(1/2)

John and Hagrid have always had a very good relationship.

Even in John's mind, Hagrid's status among professors was second only to Snape and McGonagall.

Even Flitwick, who taught John the wizard dueling system, couldn't compare to Hagrid.

This is largely due to the fact that John was able to enter the Forbidden Forest in the first place and seize the first pot of gold for development.

It was entirely because Hagrid taught him a lot of relevant knowledge and gave John the bone whistle that could summon centaurs.

John has always remembered this love!

Therefore, watching Hagrid and Umbridge drift apart.

Without any hesitation, John cast a [Disguise Curse] on himself and followed directly.

Hagrid and Umbridge arrived in silence all the way to Hagrid's hut.

It wasn't until Hagrid stepped forward and opened the door of the hut that he spoke:

"Um... do you want to come in? Maybe I can... get you a cup of hot tea?"

"You want to call me Professor Umbridge!" Umbridge frowned, "Professor Hagrid, do you know what politeness is?"

"Oh, okay." Hagrid said nervously, "Professor Umbridge, do you want to..."

"don't want!"

Umbridge interrupted with a look of disgust on her face, "Your rotten wooden house stinks just like you!

I brought you out for this conversation just to prevent your stench from polluting my office!

But now you still want me to enter your shabby house and let the stench inside stink up myself?"

"My cabin... doesn't stink at all!"

Hagrid said almost through gritted teeth.

"Okay, stop talking nonsense!"

Umbridge took out a small notebook and a quill, "I, Dolores Umbridge. Now, as the Senior Investigator of Hogwarts, I represent the Ministry of Magic against you, also known as Lu.

Bur Hagrid, Professor of Care of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts, conducts a work inspection."

Hearing this, Hagrid subconsciously straightened his back, wanting to look more energetic.

But this is of no use at all.

Umbridge glared at Hagrid with disgust and said:

"Your personal hygiene is so bad! As a professor, this is unqualified! No, it can even be said that allowing a slovenly and smelly person like you to continue to stay in Hogwarts is simply a disservice to Hogwarts.

What an insult! I will record this shortcoming and report it to the Ministry of Magic!"

"Say it again!" Hagrid was really angry, "I don't stink at all! I'm not slovenly either!"

Umbridge's eyes fell on Hagrid's clenched fists, and she smiled disdainfully:

"What? You still want to use violence against me? If you have the courage, try it! Assaulting the Senior Investigator of Hogwarts and the Deputy Minister of Magic is enough for the Ministry of Magic to expel you from Hogwarts, or even imprison you.

Into Azkaban!"

As soon as these words came out, Hagrid's face instantly turned pale, and his whole body trembled violently.

He didn't want to leave Hogwarts.

I don’t even want to be imprisoned in Azkaban!

It was hell there!

"It seems that you already know how powerful you are." Umbridge sneered, "Then what are you waiting for? Tell me how you learned the lesson!"

….

"Okay... okay, let's start with the youngest third-year students."

Hagrid nodded with difficulty, and then stiffly took out a small wooden box from the hut, "When it comes to third-grade students, I usually choose to let them learn to feed Flobber caterpillars. This is what is in the box... and in

After studying for a long time, the test content is to take care of them for a whole hour..."

"Wait! Flobber Caterpillar?"

Umbridge frowned and shook her head, "Did you know that children who grow up in a normal wizarding family can take good care of Flobber caterpillars by the time they are five years old?

Because this disgusting little thing is not aggressive at all and does not need other people's care.

Their vitality is so strong that they can live on casually!

Are you going to use such a simple thing to teach third-year students who have already completed basic courses?"

"Well - actually feeding Florob caterpillars is a bit difficult, at least you can't feed them too much, otherwise they will starve to death."

Hagrid said weakly.

But Umbridge waved her hand contemptuously and said:

"What about the other grades? What do you teach them?"

"The fourth and fifth grade students usually study creatures such as the Niffler and the Bowtruckle, and occasionally the Thestral will appear. When the weather gets cold, I will take them to warm themselves by the fire and study the Ash Snake.

Originally, according to my opinion, students of this age should have more exposure to poison horns and hippogriffs.

But John gave me some advice.

Under his persuasion, I put all those slightly dangerous creatures in the sixth and seventh grade courses."

Mentioning John, Hagrid couldn't help but have a smile on his face.

"Oh my God! You actually let the fourth and fifth grade students come into contact with Bowtruckles, Ash Snakes and Thestrals?"

Umbridge screamed, "This is too dangerous! Don't you know? Bowtruckles are great at blinding humans with their branch-like arms!"

Fire ash snakes can cause fires after laying eggs!

Thestrals represent death and ominousness!

Moreover, you actually let sixth- and seventh-grade students come into contact with dangerous animals such as adult poison horns and hippogriffs!

Do you want to kill them?"

Hagrid explained somewhat bewilderedly:

"Oh! There won't be any problem. The Bowtruckle will only get angry when someone destroys the trees. We will collect the eggs of the Ash Snake, and the Thestral..."

"That's enough! No need to say any more!"

Umbridge stopped Hagrid, lowered her head and wrote something quickly in her notebook.

Judging from the ferocious expression on her face when she wrote, what she wrote was definitely not good.

Hagrid should have discovered this too.

So his expression suddenly turned gloomy again.

John frowned, feeling angry for Hagrid.

But at this moment, there was a crisp sound in his ear.

John turned around subconsciously and saw four pairs of feet stepping on the ground out of thin air in an open space not far from him.

Under one of the feet, there was a branch that had been broken into two sections.

"what sound?"

Umbridge turned her head towards the source of the sound as she spoke.

….

Upon hearing this, the four legs instantly became panicked.

They moved wildly, as if their invisible master had a disagreement about whether to leave or stay.

At the critical moment.

John directly raised his wand and cast a [Disguise Charm] on them.

Those four pairs of legs disappeared instantly.

The next moment, Umbridge also looked towards the clearing.

"Nothing? But I clearly heard it..."

Umbridge muttered with suspicion.

"Maybe it's rats." Hagrid muttered, "They often appear around here this season."

Upon hearing that it was a rat, the disgust in Umbridge's eyes became even stronger.

"Let's stop here for today's work inspection! I will come again in a few days! If you don't want to be fired, you'd better make some improvements in your work!"

As Umbridge spoke, she closed her book and walked quickly towards the castle.

Looking at her retreating figure, Hagrid opened his mouth and originally wanted to say something.

But until Umbridge walked far away, he couldn't say anything. He could only sigh and returned to the hut.
