Chapter 1654 minefield

There is an industrial area more than ten kilometers north of Queretaro. From the terrain, this industrial area is wrapped in two low hills. Highway 111, which passes from the industrial area, becomes one of the several important roads to Queretaro.

"Damn it, those officers want us to be stationed here?" Looking at the flat terrain several kilometers wide on both sides of Highway 111, a government soldier almost wailed. "There is no defense here at all."

Suzano's air-ground power was out of touch, the air force came too quickly, and the ground armored troops were still dozens of kilometers away. After sending a long-range artillery dedicated unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, the time difference was about an hour in between and was captured by Meng Xinjun, who was commanding the battle.

About a regiment's troops were arranged by Meng Xinjun on more than a dozen commanding heights within twenty kilometers outside the city. A platoon commanded by Raphael was ordered to go forward more than ten kilometers to become an observation post, and they were asked to be arranged on a hill near the industrial area.

"We'll get up the mountain," Raphael said, holding a map in his hand. After fighting for several months, he was already a genuine veteran. He was admitted to the platoon-level officer short-term training class and was thrown into the new Mexican government army.

Raphael's platoon has distinctive rustic characteristics. The Type 65 military uniform in the combat preparation warehouse looks quite rustic, and the armed belts around his waist are even more awkward. The Type 56 submachine gun and semi-automatic rifle look weak in firepower, and the only two rocket launchers do not look like equipment that can fight big battles.

But the Mexican government forces look like this at the moment. Anyway, they are bargains that have been picked up for free, so they cannot be too demanding.

The recruits in the platoon were frightened by running to the forefront of the battle, but Raphael knew that this life was not too dangerous. The hills on both sides of Highway 111 were very large, and although the terrain was flat and relatively high altitude, it was better than squatting in a bunker and waiting to get shells.

The truck ran away immediately after the ferry of Raphael was in place. When they were about to go up the mountain, dozens of trucks that looked old were running up from behind.

"Rocket Launch?" Several guide rails loaded on the truck made several soldiers speculate, "Aren't the artillery soldiers all behind? The rocket launcher needs to rush forward so far?"

The old truck with round heads and minds did not continue to move forward, but stopped and scattered under the noses of Raphael and others. There were many busy officers and soldiers jumping out of the car, and it was obvious that they had a very urgent task to see their appearance.

The two troops were not far apart, and Raphael didn't understand what these people were going to do, so he simply shouted loudly, "What are you doing?"

The officers of the convoy had no time to pay attention to Raphael and only focused on setting up several trucks carrying "rocket launchers". After a while, the launch frame on the car raised and turned, and then fired.

The rocket's roar drove a strong air wave, and the dust blown could fly dozens of meters away. Raphael's platoon was also rushing to climb up the mountain. When they walked a distance, they found that the rockets that occurred in this convoy did not fly far. After firing two kilometers, they would automatically spread white umbrellas.

"This seems to be a rocket mine car," Raphael said.

A rocket threw ten umbrella flowers, and each white umbrella flower was hung with a green-shelled anti-tank mine. What Raphael saw was actually a Type 79 rocket mine-burning convoy, responsible for spreading Type 69 anti-tank mines.

Four cars can quickly lay out three football field-sized minefields two kilometers away with a volley. After multiple loading and launching, the passageways on both sides of Highway 111 were blocked by hills.

After the deployment of anti-tank mines, the mine-laying troops also fired anti-infantry mines into the minefield. Before the enemy armored troops appeared, the flat intersection in this area was completely blocked by a minefield with a length of five kilometers and a width of one kilometers.

Seeing the white umbrella flowers spread all over the floor, all the soldiers in the platoon, including Raphael, couldn't help but exclaim. Everyone felt that it was difficult for the enemy to come over with such a minefield blockade.

Climbing up the gentle hill one or two hundred meters away from the highway, setting up a bunker, observing the posts and retreat routes, Raphael set up a radio station and stared at the wide intersection in front of him that was blocked by a minefield.

"Platform leader, can the enemy not get through?"

"With mine laying, there is mine clearance. We can rocket mine laying, and the enemy can also rocket mine clearance. The minefield can only delay the enemy's advance."

After receiving training from a short training class, Raphael had more knowledge. Not long after, a helicopter came from the north for reconnaissance. He tried to intercept with a single air defense missile, but the helicopter hovered in the distance for a while before flying away.

Around forty or fifty kilometers away, a vanguard of armored divisions heading south of Suzano temporarily stopped and established a basic air defense position.

Both sides have heavy artillery and drones, especially the Aurora Legion and a large number of M7 ballistic missiles. No one will be stunned and directly hit the opponent's defensive position.

After sending drones and helicopters to investigate multiple times, McCain, who was in charge of commanding the "Mo Zhengcheng" unit, pondered in front of the electronic map: "The Air Force reported that Queretaro's outer positions had left more than ten kilometers outside the city, and several key intersections were blocked with minefields.

It is necessary for us to occupy several hill commanding heights on both sides of the intersection as artillery observation posts. As for the minefield, we can also use rocket launchers to clear mines and use rocket launchers to strike enemy positions at a long range. Our m270 is very great, it can do a lot of things."

m270 is really good and can do anything.

After issuing several orders, Commander McCain felt unsatisfied again. After thinking for a long time, he realized that the number of fighter jets dispatched by the Air Force was too small and he could not blow up the opponent before the Army arrived. The subsequent battle was probably not in line with the habits of the American commander.

It doesn't matter, let the artillery go first.

The artillery in Greater America is also very powerful.

The division commander ordered a battalion of eighteen gates m270 to start precise strikes on targets that had been discovered on the battlefield. Various guided rockets and mine-de-detached rockets flew into the sky. The battalion relied on the ultra-long range of rockets for dozens of kilometers, hiding outside the enemy's strike range and could shoot vigorously.

The rockets flew out like money, and a volley was enough to cover the boss's area. The old-fashioned minefields, which took a long time to lay out, the Eighteen-door m270 was broken in one breath.

"Everything to evaluate the combat and destruction effect immediately to confirm the remaining status of the enemy's defense line. If you need to supplement the second round of firepower strikes, you can immediately use a helicopter to seize the outer commanding heights of Queretaro after you reach the target."

Commander McCain is very looking forward to the next battle situation. In this era of discovery and destruction, he only needs to constantly use various reconnaissance methods to figure out the enemy's arrangements, and the next time is to give full play to his firepower advantage.

Just half an hour later, the staff officers interpreted the reconnaissance information of the drone and helicopter and reported: "Sir, we may really need to carry out a second round of firepower strikes."

Well..., what was expected.

"What targets need to be hit?"

"all."

"All? Not even the enemy's minefields were swept away?"

"No, we swept it, but the enemy quickly made up for it."

"Well..., damn it! Carry out the second round of strike."

Another half an hour...

"Sir, we may need to carry out the third round of fire strikes."

"Don't tell me that the minefield has not been cleaned yet."

"I'm sorry, sir. But the enemy has really restored the minefield again."

"Wow..., another round."

In another half an hour...

"Sir, this strike is very successful. We even killed the opponent's mine-braking convoy."

"Oh, is that? The guy in charge of reconnaissance did a good job, and our rocket launcher battalion was also great."

"But the enemy drove another mine-building convoy and blocked the intersection again."

"This..., let's do a damn fourth round of fire strike right away."

It's still half an hour...

"Is the minefield done? It's just a small minefield, it can't stop us."

"I'm sorry, sir, but this time we were hit by fire."
