Chapter 4 Barefootprints

Situ Ce immediately took out the gray squirrel fingerprint brush from the inspection box, dipped it in a little silver powder, raised the brush, and flicked it gently on the brush handle to make the powder evenly spread on the bristles. Then he brushed the barefoot twice. Immediately, a complete and clear barefootprint was revealed in front of him!

He put the fingerprint brush back into the inspection box, took out the ear wash ball and blew off the excess powder from the barefootprints, then took out the large transparent tape, covered it with the wheel, pressed it, then gently lifted it up, and then took the black substrate and pasted the tape on it.

Situ Ce put away the things, stood up and walked out of the counter, looking down at the feet of the diners in the venue. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he saw a small man sitting in a seat in the back, barefoot. Except for him, the rest of the venue were wearing shoes.

Situ Ce smiled, turned his head and glanced at Helanbing, then walked to the man and said, "Please lift your feet up and let me see the soles of your feet."

"What do you do?" the man asked fiercely.

"The government investigates the case, please cooperate!"

"What did you say? You are a fortune teller, why should I listen to you!"

Situ Ce looked back at Helanbing. Helanbing said coldly to the small man: "Do what he said!"

The man seemed to know He Lanbing's power, shrank his neck, swept the bowls, chopsticks and dishes on the table aside, raised his feet, and put them on the table with a thud: "Look! Is there any flowers on the soles of my feet?"

Situ Ce put the barefoot tape in his hand beside him. After comparing, he couldn't help but smile: "Yes, there are really flowers on the soles of your feet! It's this flower that tells me that you are the thief who steals the shopkeeper's money!"

As soon as this said, everyone in the field widened their eyes. I wonder what Situ Ce was holding, how could he know that this person was a thief?

He Lanbing was also a little surprised. He turned his head and looked at the incense stick. It was less than half burned. It was too fast to solve the case. He didn't believe it in his heart, so he folded his fan and walked over.

The little man sternly said, "What are you talking about? I was watching the couple fighting outside in the window just now. Have you ever stole money? Don't swear!"

Helanbing also asked, "Yes, how do you determine that he is a thief?"

"Please look!" Situ Ce pointed to the barefoot marks on the tape in his hand, "This is the barefoot mark I extracted from the counter underground. All the diners in the field, except him, were wearing shoes, so the barefoot marks could only be his!"

"Is this what you extracted from the counter?" He Lanbing was stunned, took the tape, and checked it over and over.

"Yes, I have a way to find the handprints or barefoot marks left by the criminal at the scene. Even if they are shoe prints, I can extract them. This is my way to solve the case!"

"Oh?" He Lanbing looked at Situ Ce very well this time.

The little man said sternly: "Why do you say that I am the only one barefoot? A thief may take off his shoes and go in and steal the silver, come out and put on the shoes!"

"It's possible," Situ Ce sneered, "However, there are several cracks on the barefootprint I extracted from the counter, and there are these cracks on your soles, and the directions are exactly the same. Even if there are cracks on other people's feet, they cannot be the same as those on your soles! Who are you?"

Helanbing glanced at the crack of barefoot on the tape and the crack on the soles of the little man's feet, turned cold, nodded slowly, and stared at the little man: "What else do you have to say?"

The little man picked up the soles of his feet and looked at the barefoot marks on the tape. His face changed. He lowered his feet and said with his neck: "You said the barefoot marks were taken from the counter. Who believes you? Who has ever heard of someone's footprints being taken? Uh? - do you think so?" The little man pointed at the crowd in the field and looked at Zuo Shaoyang with a squint eyes. "You are used to fortune tellers, you are used to being tricked by the world. Maybe you secretly took my footprints from other places and came here to frame me!"

Everyone in the field looked at Situ Ce, and there was a little disbelief in their eyes. Now, even He Lanbing nodded slowly and looked at Situ Ce.

Situ Ce knew that his origin was unknown, and he challenged Helanbing as soon as he came up, and items such as transparent gel appeared that were not available in the Ming Dynasty. No wonder Helanbing and others were suspicious. He smiled slightly and said, "It doesn't mean you haven't seen it before! Since you don't believe it, it doesn't matter. You left more than one footprint at the counter. I can extract one more, so I know if I have the ability to extract footprints."

This is the key issue to confirm that this little man is a thief. He Lanbing must figure it out, nodded immediately, and said to the constables: "Move the counter away!"

Several constables came over to carry the counter, and Situ Ce hurriedly said, "Be careful, don't step inside!"

The counter was moved away, revealing the open space behind. The light from the window immediately illuminated the ground.

Situ Ce made a gesture to Helanbing, signaling her to follow her to lie on the ground to observe, pointing to the barefootprints: "Please look at Mr. He, are there any barefootprints here?"

He Lanbing looked at it intently and nodded, "That's right. This footprint is right in front of the silver cabinet. If you can take one in front of me, I will believe what you said!"

Situ Ce smiled slightly, did the same thing, and used a fingerprint brush to extract a barefootprint again. The two barefootprints were compared and they were exactly the same!

The little man's face changed. He grabbed a stack of dishes on the table, smashed him to Helanbing, then turned around and rushed out of the window like a swallow.

As soon as he landed, he saw that Helanbing had blocked his way and slowly turned around and looked at him.

The little man punched Helan Bing in his chest. Helan Bing shouted angrily: "Looking for death!" He slashed out his folding fan in his hand, hitting the fist, and the cracking sound of a fracture was heard in the earlobe.

The little man screamed and held his wrist. He Lanbing did not neglect, so he kicked the little man backwards, and fell heavily on the stone steps under the eaves, fainting.

The constable ran up and locked him up with a shaking iron chain.

The crowd shouted: "Sir He is a good method!"

Helanbing turned his head and looked at it. He saw two people slowly retreating behind the crowd, sneering at the corner of his mouth, raised his hand and pointed: "Take them down!"

The man and woman turned around and ran away. The detectives chased after him, pressed him to the ground, twisted back, and became used to Helanbing.

Helan looked at the woman with a disheveled hair and a bloody face, and shook her folded fan and said, "You two are the couples who are fighting? Why do you run to the restaurant for nothing to fight? When you see the criminal, you will be surrendered and fled? Why? It's not that you have conspired with the criminal?!"

The two of them trembled and got up and begged, "Master He, please spare me. It has nothing to do with us, it's all his business. He spent a tael of silver to let my wife come here to fight here on purpose. After the matter is done, I will give me one tael of silver. We don't know that he is a thief and wants to steal the money from the restaurant. Otherwise, we would not dare to help him if we beat him to death."
