Chapter 102 The Narrative of John Stamford

Jing Yu didn't expect the arrival of Mr. Joe Marston, but when he heard that the other party was an adventurer, he seemed to gain something.

Sure enough, after Mr. John Stamford introduced them to each other, he asked Jing Yu and Joe Marston to sit down together, and then said, "Mr. Jing, Joe is my friend. I originally hoped that he could come and help me find my father."

As he said that, he said to Joe Marston again, "Mr. Jing is my sister who wants to invite him. He is very knowledgeable about the things my father brings."

It seems that Joe Marston is not very concerned about Jing Yu's origin and the origin of those things, but obviously he is very concerned about the disappearance of John Stamford's father.

"John, can you introduce the scene?" he asked, and took out a small notebook from the inner pocket of the suit and prepared to write and stroke.

"Okay, Joe, I can only tell you everything I know. I hope you can use your extraordinary mind to help me analyze what's going on. Mr. Jing, I'm very happy if you want to listen." John Stanford adjusted his body, and instead of talking about the reasons, he talked about it first.

Jing Yu naturally nodded and showed that he had no objection. He also wanted to know how Ralph Stamford disappeared, and he was more interested in these devices that obviously came from his own world, so he planned to stay and listen.

"Okay, then this matter starts from more than 50 days ago. I came back from the oil company that day and suddenly saw that my father had returned home. I said hello to him very happily, but he seemed a little anxious. He just greeted me casually and started to work on his own affairs. As you know, my father and Carroll went to Britain together. They lived in London for a while. I was very happy that he could come back, but soon I noticed that my father had only one person and Carroll did not come back, so I asked my father where Carroll was." John Stamford began to slowly talk about what he encountered at the beginning, but at this time his expression was obviously a little solemn and even a little worried.

Seeing the two people continuing to listen carefully, he breathed a sigh of relief and continued: "My father looked very unhappy at the time and seemed unwilling to mention this matter. He shouted to me that my sister Carol was still in London and he was back in advance if he had an urgent need."

Jing Yu knew more about these things than John Stanford, so it was not surprising, but he didn't know what was the reason for Ralph Stanford, who would rather leave his own things to deal with him and run back to the New World. He felt that it must be a very important thing, it depends on whether John Stanford knew and was willing to say it out.

Joe Marston seemed not very familiar with the cause and effect of the matter, so he listened carefully to John Stamford continue to tell the story.

"My father seemed to be looking for something. He shouted loudly at the butler and asked him to find the box he brought back that year. He only found the box after a big waste, that box," John Stamford pointed to a box in the distance and said, "Jing Yu knew that those modern devices and equipment were taken out of that box.

"It was only after they found this box in the basement. It seemed that my father hadn't moved it for a long time. Then he found a note from the box. Of course, after he came out, I clearly understood this note. It was the notepad he used for his work back then. The words on the cover were my father's notes."

Then John Stamford continued to recall: "My father was very happy when he found the note. He opened the notebook and found the record inside, and immediately ordered the housekeeper to prepare something for him to travel."

"Did your father come back that day just for that book?" Joe Master suddenly interjected.

"I think it should be," said John Stamford.

"So do you know what is recorded in that book?"

John Stamford shook his head, "I don't know what is recorded inside. When my father opened it, I didn't notice it. I just saw him turn to a page inside, and after looking for a while, I asked the butler to prepare something for him to travel far."

"So how do you know that's his work notes?" said Joe Stamford.

"Like I just said, my father's name is on the cover."

"But how can you tell that it is a work notes based on your name alone?"

"Because it was a book marked with the railway company, my father had worked for that company before, so I realized that it should be his work notes." John Stamford continued to explain that he was not interested in Joe Marston's questioning, and Jing Yu immediately felt that the relationship between the two should be very good.

So Joe Master signaled to understand and asked John Stamford to continue.

"My father seemed very anxious, but the butler told him that it would take the next day to prepare at the earliest, which made him very angry."

"I asked him where he was going, and advised him that he could take a break first after he had just returned from Britain and go out in a few days, but he scolded me with displeasure that he had something very important to me and told me not to worry about it."

"He went to his study after dinner, and then stayed until very late before going back to sleep. I wanted to say hello to him the next morning, but the butler told me that he left home early in the morning, riding in the long-distance carriage prepared for him by the butler, and carrying two guards."

"Have you asked the butler if your father ever said where he was going?" Joe Master continued.

"The housekeeper said he mentioned a place that seemed to be called Saltwater Valley, but I searched on the map for a long time and never found it," explained John Stamford.

"So, we can think that your father left London alone and returned to the New World to find a job note from that year, and then he found a record in it, and then went to that place, and it was very likely that it was a place called Salt Water Valley," said Joe Marston.

"Yes, Joe, my friend, as you said, so I want to ask for your help, I know you've been to many places in the New World, so I want to ask if you know this place called Salt Water Valley, or if you can find it for me," said John Stamford.

"I thought about it, I'm afraid I haven't heard of such a place, but don't worry, my friend, I happened to have been idle for a long time and was about to go out for a walk. I can help you find this place. However, why did your father come back suddenly in Britain?"

"I also asked the people who came back with my father. They said that my father had no plans to come back in London at that time, but one day he received a letter from the New World. After reading the letter, he immediately ordered people to leave London, and before that, he specially found a lawyer to deal with the house in London."

Jing Yu began to make the news right from what he knew, probably figured out why Ralph Stamford suddenly left London, but in this way more problems appeared in his mind, and he wanted to continue to figure out all this.
