Chapter 536(1/2)

"The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is in theaters.

"Insidious 3" begins filming.

The filming of "Death Comes 5" has begun.

"Fast and Furious 2" is in preparation. The preparation work is assisted by relevant plot staff from Weiner Pictures, and Tom is responsible for hosting the work.

Wu Long returned to China to continue filming "Tiansha - Earth Strikes Back".

The film "Earth Strikes Back" is a multi-protagonist film. The fighter pilot played by Wu Long is not the only protagonist.

Zhang Zikang, who plays the country's supreme commander, is one of the protagonists.

The role of David, a computer engineer in the original version, was replaced by Wu Lung. Zhao Liying played the young computer engineer, who was a couple with Wu Lung in the movie.

In this way, there is no longer a scene in which the original protagonist goes back to find his wife and brings back the president's wife. There is no scene in the original version in which the president's wife is brought back, which avoids some troubles caused to the movie for certain reasons.

The filming of "Tiansha - Earth Strikes Back" was almost completed before Wu Long came to Haolaihu. Wu Long filmed his own part first. The plot without his was shot by Guo Hao, and he would check it after he came back.

It took nearly two months to complete the production of "Tiansha - Earth Strikes Back".

The subsequent work of submission for review, issuance, etc. was completed by Guo Hao and Xing Zhongfei.

Wu Long flew to Miami to start filming "Fast and Furious 2".

Literary drama first and action drama second.

With detailed storyboards, he has a completed movie in his mind. As long as it is shot according to the original version, Wu Long can complete the shooting quickly. The actors in Haolaihu are very dedicated in their performances. Most of them have excellent acting skills and can usually pass it in one go.

.

When Wu Long shoots a movie, there are no unnecessary shots. He does not need to shoot multiple shots in one set so that he can choose the appropriate lens to use in post-production. He already knows what the finished film will look like and knows which lens to use, so he will not shoot unnecessary shots.

lens.

This saves him a lot of time and money.

After shooting the literary scenes, I started shooting action scenes, that is, car chases and car racing scenes.

Car racing scenes, first of all, those unimportant car racing scenes. For example, the car racing scene where the car beats the opponent's car is relatively simple.

Wu Long used the method of using a drone to look down and take a shot to the end, and multiple sets of high-definition cameras in the car to simultaneously shoot.

He himself was all filmed real-life, the other three actors were filmed real-life in the car, and other gear changes, front-view and rear-view shots were all shot by stuntmen.

In other words, it takes two takes.

The first time is that real actors actually drive, but not so intensely, and there is no need to drive too fast. The actors change gears at what time according to the stuntman's instructions, and perform what expressions they make according to the script.

The second time was the real car racing between Wu Long and the stuntman, with drone tracking and overhead shots.

From the time the host Taj Parker, who was in charge of racing betting, shouted the start, until the four cars were completely finished.

In the first round of the competition, when the opponent makes small moves, they are shot directly and continuously without stopping or interspersing or editing the shots.

In the second round, Wu Long collided with the opponent and drove away. Finally, the opponent gave way to the lane. It was also shot in one shot without stopping in the middle.

This kind of overhead shot can capture Wu Long's driving position and driving route, which are so perfect. Especially the 180-degree U-turn, it is almost like there is a central axis pulling the racing car around.

All four cars made a 180-degree U-turn from above. It can be seen from this that Wu Long’s U-turn was the most perfect, followed by the car stunt captain Ross, who was the stand-in for the second protagonist Roman Pierce. The other two car stunt doubles,

They ranked third and fourth respectively.

If you only take side shots or shots from inside and outside the car, it will be difficult to distinguish the pros and cons of the technology.

This kind of aerial shot can be seen at once.

Wu Long's driving skills are as smooth and natural as flowing water, which is pleasing to the eye.

After filming this scene, Wu Long planned to use split screens for part of the screening.

Half of the picture is a one-shot shot from above. This picture is always maintained, allowing the audience to see the authenticity and excitement of this car racing. And it is also at night, which is particularly thrilling.

Half of the scenes are shots inside the car, such as the driver changing gears, character expressions and performances. For example, when making a 180-degree U-turn, looking out from the first-person perspective in the car, the sense of rotation of the scenery outside the car quickly rotating around it

.

After finishing filming this racing scene, we started filming the opening racing scene of the movie.

The original version didn't do well. The biggest problem was that it couldn't capture the sense of speed. It just didn't look like the car was fast enough or thrilling enough.

The competition between cars is not strongly expressed, and more of the scenes are the expressions of the characters in the cars.

But when you watch a car race, you are watching the speed and the car, not your actors sitting in the cab pretending to drive.

Can racing fans who watch a racing car in a real racing track be able to see the expression of the driver in the cab? It is also the thrill of looking out from the cab from a first-person perspective.

If Wu Long wants to avoid being a hit at the box office, he must change.

This car racing scene was roughly divided into five parts, that is, five shots. There were also drones tracking and overhead shots, and multiple high-definition cameras in the car captured the shots from multiple angles.

In addition, cameras on both sides of the sports car were specially installed for shooting, as well as a camera car for tracking.

To make it so complicated and without using a green screen, we just pursue realism.

The first shoot was to get shots of both sides of the sports car.

In this filming, all stuntmen drove and raced, and the drone tracking and overhead shots were only played as a bonus feature at the end of the film. Because there were camera positions on both sides of the sports car, it could not be included in the official film.

In this part of the shooting, it was impossible to shoot the start. Because the cars had to start side by side, and the sports cars with camera positions on both sides were installed, the cars could not start in a row and would easily hit each other.

The photo was taken after the distance was reached, so I started shooting after arranging the order in advance.

The plot arrangement starts with the female driver and the hat guy competing for each other in the two cars. In the first two cars, Wu Long and the bearded guy compete with each other.

After the first corner, Brother Huzi took the first place, and Wu Long was second.

Behind him is Brother Hat, who takes the lead in third place, and the female driver is at the end.

After filming this part, the camera positions on both sides of the sports car were removed, and the actors began to be filmed. All the driver actors who had specific shots had participated in Ross's basic car stunt training before filming. The main purpose was to allow the actors to face the scenes during the official filming.

The camera can capture the background and make the audience feel real.

After the second part is shot, the third part will be shot.

This part involves car stuntmen racing according to the plot. It does not require extreme speed, but it does require a sense of speed and racing, which means it is faster than ordinary driving.

There are three camera cars behind the car chasing and shooting. Sometimes the three camera cars are chasing and shooting side by side at the end. Sometimes two camera cars are at the end and one is chasing and shooting on the side of the car. Sometimes, the two camera cars are on the side of the car.

Tracking shots were taken from both sides, and a camera truck followed at the end.

In the fourth part of the shooting, there was no camera car to follow, only drones to follow and take overhead shots.

It's still the same route, the same driving according to the script.

The fifth part is the leap across the bridge.

In this part of the plot, Brother Hat was afraid and did not make the leap. The female driver made the leap, but a female car stunt double was used to complete the leap filming.

Of course, it's not really a direct jump and a hard landing. That's definitely not possible, and it's easy to cause an accident. Even if there is no accident, the vibration during landing is enough to cause problems for the driver due to the excessive impact force.

During the actual shooting, there will be a buffer at the landing end, and a computer will be used to synthesize the landing footage later.

The female driver is easier to photograph, so shoot separately. When shooting from the ground, drive the car up a not too high slope, and after flying up, you can take a shot of the landing.

The most difficult thing was that Wu Long had to overtake the car in front of him while leaping in the air.

In advance, Wu Long and Ross's car stunt team built a ramp of the same length and slope to test how fast the jump would be, where the landing point would be, and what the height and angle would be in the air.

These tests were filmed by cameras and recorded into the computer.

Then jump out at a faster speed, calculate the height and angle in the air, and where the landing point is.

After testing multiple sets of data, select two that are quite different, merge the data and play them simultaneously on the computer.

In this way, two groups of cars flying over the bridge that were not originally in the same time and space appear in the same time and space at the same time in the computer.

Through such experiments, two sets of data were obtained.

When to start accelerating, and what speed should the two vehicles maintain one after the other. At what time and what speed, all need to be accurately controlled.

In fact, the safer and safer way is to keep the two cars in different lanes. This way, you don’t have to worry about a collision between the two cars.

But in this way, it seems less exciting and thrilling.

If it is neither exciting nor thrilling, how can the audience buy it? How to highlight the advantages of Wu Long's film?

Thinking back to Wu Lung's previous life, the once glorious Hong Kong martial arts action movie conquered movie fans all over the world because of its selling point of real jumping from buildings.

Even Hollywood stuntmen, when they saw the action scenes of Hong Kong's Dragon and Tiger Warriors, lamented that they were not making movies, they were risking their lives.

When the director shouts "jump", the dragon and tiger martial arts masters must jump boldly. Even if it is the third floor and there is no sponge pad below, they must jump directly.

At that time, many of the leading actors in Hong Kong action movies were former dragon and tiger martial arts masters themselves. When they didn't need a stunt double, they could do whatever they wanted.

It is common for these dragon and tiger warriors to have their hands and feet broken off. When filming a dangerous action scene, ambulances are waiting to save people.

If you are timid and don't want to do it, leave, there will be a lot of people behind you trying to do it.

So, why were the martial arts and action movies at that time so good?

Because it’s a real shot, many people don’t even care about Wi-Fi.

In addition to experimenting with flying in the air, you also have to experiment with falling. After all, there are real people inside, so hard landings must be avoided. At the same time, the seats in the car have also been specially modified to increase the cushioning performance.
