Chapter 2049: Night in the Black Warehouse Part 2
Fabiola was the first to realize the danger when the demons hidden in the dark rushed towards the convoy.
"It's coming!!!"
She quickly pulled out two small rapid-fire pistols and shot them diagonally upwards. She wasn't sure if she had hit anything. Anyway, she emptyed the magazines of both guns and then exchanged them for bullets at an extremely fast speed.
However, the other party was faster than she thought.
The howling demon smashed on the armored vehicle in the middle of the guard like an asteroid. In an instant, the armored vehicle split into pieces and made a loud rumbling sound.
The broken metal and the spinning spark formed a wave, and some of the guards were engulfed by flames and fragments. Several people died in an instant. Fabiola, like everyone around her, was shot out by the peak of the shock wave.
In the center of the original team, a black fireball rolled upwards into a high black smoke, hurried figures and shouts passed through it.
"Emperor!"
Before they reassembled and their dazzling senses recovered, dull gunshots came through the harsh howling in the air. Fabiola, who had climbed up from the ground, heard the roar of the bomb gun, and noticed that the fire at the muzzle flashed high.
In the halo of the flashlight, the monsters that dived down rushed towards them like bullets in the night sky. Although the surroundings were bright, they were somehow able to emit a shadow-like hostility, like lightning passing through a sudden storm.
And their screams are sharper than any knife.
The bombs hit the center of each flashlight, and they moved so fast and hit so accurately that they blasted each light into pieces.
Then there is only darkness.
Absolutely, completely-
Endless nights.
But this "midnight" is not calm, with crazy laughter and roar filling the world, a range of freezing screams and creepy howls, and others join in - the groan of fear of the guards, the screams of the panicked, and the wails of the wounded and the dying.
They squeezed together with guns in their hands, imagining themselves being cut, split, and torn by invisible monsters, just like sheep surrounded by wolves in the dark...
There was only chaos where Fabiola saw, and these former elites, the city's protectors, were easily strangled and defeated by fear.
But even if they were huddled together, they could not guarantee safety. Some people were suddenly pulled violently into the sky, followed by blood splattering and falling broken limbs. In this case, many people began to scream loudly.
"Don't panic, everyone! Take up the weapon!"
The smell of blood and fear in the air almost suffocated Fabiola, but she stubbornly completed the change of the bullet and pulled the trigger to a height of about five meters to the right.
A series of bullets disappeared into the darkness, but Fabiola noticed the slight sparks splashing.
She hit it!
This fact made her heart hop.
But then a small team leader suddenly separated his body, his head like a wet bomb, and was slammed into the crowd by an invisible devil.
"asshole!"
Fabiola hurriedly retreated to his comrades and replaced the magazine again.
One after another, the hand holding the gun was suddenly cut off, the armor was peeled off, and the upper body disappeared without a trace. Some people shouted when their scalp was cut off, some were tripped by their intestines, and some people tried to shout, but found that their chin and tongue had been torn off.
Fabiola felt that it was all around her, like a dizzying kaleidoscope.
The devil in the dark seemed to be everywhere, hovering over the sky, wandering on the ground, killing unscrupulously, chopping everywhere, slashing everywhere, and screaming.
Blood splatters like rain, and the warm drizzle has no direction or color.
For the brain that was almost destroyed by invisible fear, every figure in the darkness is a threat, and every voice screams.
Inadvertent injuries occur frequently and people begin to lose their minds.
But Fabiola has roughly explored the outlines of those monsters, which are very huge, covered with metal, and probably armor, and should be able to fly and glide so flexibly with the help of some kind of equipment.
They are actually not many, and all of these actions are to induce disciplined minds to panic, just like digging a small hole in the dam to break the dam, cutting off any friendship bond between them and the people around them, and in an instant, it becomes a beast that only cares about themselves, protects themselves, and trusts only.
The guards became flocks of sheep in the storm, cramming together, longing for survival, but rejecting all other sheep—whether enemies or friends.
The shotgun rang out in the dark, just aiming at the night and firing at will.
Fabiola was shocked to realize: they were too many people, and the narrow road was a terrible trap, and the surrounding buildings were invisible fences, and people were swallowed by the complete darkness, trembling and scared, and some people knelt down, squeezed aside by the people who rushed over and stepped on their feet.
But just as she loaded the magazine, she heard a firm voice that woke some from fear.
That was their captain, roaring while shooting:
"Night Vision! Everyone! Fuck, the throne is on, put all your fucking night Vision!"
It was like a beacon, like a tiny beam of light in the endless wasteland, and just a little order was enough to break the panic spell cast by the enemy. The guards around stopped their headless flies in the shouts. Some people reacted and took a deep breath, groping their goggles, and then pulled the bulky device to their eyes.
For a moment, their world appeared in terrifying shades of green and gray.
But Fabiola has always worn a night vision device, and she knows it won't work much.
"Reorganized, damn it! For the Emperor! Stay true!"
The captain roared, and she turned to face him, as if she had grabbed a life-saving straw.
"Captain, we must leave the open area! Look for cover!"
The captain stared at the girl for a moment and nodded.
"Squad Thirteen! Turn toward 3 o'clock! Leave the road! Leave the road!"
The rest of their branch immediately took action, and they trotted away from their original location and armored vehicles, trying to climb over the road fence.
And on the entire road, there are now corpses everywhere, and none of them are intact.
Whoever killed the guards, they were quite bloodthirsty and in high interest.
“Switch off the light.”
Now they don't want any missions, they just hope to survive. Fabiola has replaced the shotgun. This weapon is a bit too big for her, but after the special modification reduces part of the recoil, it will not affect her use.
The gunshots and screams continued in the distance, and the team carefully escaped from the killing field and climbed over the guardrail one by one.
Everyone held their breath and kept quiet, their movements were very light, afraid of disturbing anything.
