Chapter 2377 The Confused and the Aware
In a secluded valley of No. 4, Nesson 4, it is only a hundred miles away from the monastery fortress of the Chapter, so it is also included in the range of the military restricted area of the Chapter. Although it has a beautiful natural environment, it is rarely visited.
But today its tranquility was interrupted by mechanical roars. In the strong wind, the low trees and green grass flowers on the ground were uprooted and blown a hundred meters away.
Immediately afterwards, a giant wearing a silver-gray cross-collar robe jumped off the thunder eagle and landed on the soft soil. Then he turned around and walked towards the pure white tower standing by the lake in the valley.
Surrounded by the green hills, green lakes, blueprints, white clouds and white towers, forming a quiet and peaceful picture. You can see that the monks have opened up some fields around the white tower. They have never asked for supplies from the battle group, and have almost never had any contact with the outside world since they came here.
Seeing Soshiyang coming, the electric monks folded their hands together, but they didn't say a word.
Soshiyan responded to them at once. He was still not used to this way of saluting with his hands together, and then he walked directly to the open entrance door of the tower.
After entering, the first thing he smelled was the smell of incense. Master Shi sat cross-legged on the ground, facing his back to him, as if he would continue like this until eternity as long as no one came.
"Master Shi."
Facing this elder who might be the same era as the Emperor, Soshyan thought about it and chose to salute with the other party's usual hands and bent down slightly.
"I hope my uninvited person will not bother you."
"Everyone in the world is a visitor, and there is no saying that he will come uninvited."
Master Shi spoke as slowly as ever but his tone was clear.
"I have some worries and questions, I hope you can answer them."
"Sentient beings are not in the sea of troubles, and ignorance is very terrifying."
"Master Shi, you went to Terra to meet the mortals, right?"
"What I see is just an old friend."
"You are an immortal, right? What is your relationship with the Emperor?"
"It means that there is action, there is no action. If the person who is action is born, dwells, dissatisfied, and destroyed, the person who is inaction does not arise, does not dwell, does not differ, and does not die."
Soshiyang frowned slightly. He was really afraid to discuss this "philosophy" with Master Shi. He actually just wanted to know the answer, so he tried his best to make his own question simple, just because he was worried that Master Shi would start chanting scriptures again.
"Master Shi, I just want to answer."
At this time, the other party slowly turned around, but his limbs were motionless, as if the whole person had changed direction silently.
Although Master Shi's eyes were still covered with black stripes, Soshiyang could feel that the other party was staring at him. And Master Shi's gaze made Soshiyang feel uneasy, as if he had been stripped of everything and disguised it, shaking out all the secrets without any hiding, making him instinctively have the urge to turn around and run away and protect himself.
However, Soshiyang held back and realized that this was the power that Master Shi had always existed, but he had not shown it before.
Then, Master Shi, who was sitting on the ground, spoke slowly:
"What are you seeing here?"
Soshiyang frowned slightly and glanced at the surroundings. It was very empty, with only a strange three-legged copper tripod in the middle, and there were some strange words on the wall.
"I saw an empty hall, a tripod, some words that I don't know, and... you."
As he said that, Soshiyang thought of something, turned around and looked at the open door.
“And the natural scenery outside.”
But Master Shi shook his head.
"You have seen everything but overlooked the most important thing, so your question will never have an answer."
"What?"
Master Shi raised his hand and pinched a strange gesture. Then Soshiyang found that he was now in the hall of Thunderstone Church. When he turned around and looked, there was an eternal thunder and rainstorm outside the open door.
"this!"
When he turned around, he suddenly found that Master Shi, who was originally sitting on the ground, had become a confused person, which was shocked to him to take three steps in a row.
He didn't even feel how this happened, as if it was that way. He should be in the thunderstone rather than in the original tower, and even his memory seemed to convince him.
"So, do you understand?"
Under the mask of the confusing person, there was still the indifferent voice.
"Everything you see may be illusory, because the most important thing you have been overlooking, you feel like you are surrounded by lies."
Suoshiyang seemed to feel something in his heart and looked down at his hands.
"Yes, just now...why did I miss myself?"
When he raised his head again, he had already returned to the tower again, and Master Shi was still sitting on the ground.
"You finally see yourself, so you don't need me to say it, and you will have the answer."
Soshiyang stood there for a long time, as if thinking about what he had just harvested. After a long time, he spoke until a dull bell rang out somewhere:
"Master Shi, you want to tell me that it doesn't matter what others do. What matters is what I want to do, right? But Master Shi, sometimes I can't even figure out what the meaning of my existence is..."
“Many years ago…”
Master Shi said slowly:
"... There was a young man who traveled through deserts, mountains, canyons, jungles, rivers from the far west... to a place that was almost the end of the world for him at that time. He wanted to find someone to answer three questions, who he was, where he came from, and where he went... He had experienced all the beauty of the world, satisfied all the desires of ordinary people, and witnessed all the goodness of others, and witnessed all the evils of others. He believed that there was no one in the world who could answer his questions, because his tongue defeated all those who believe in God, and his eyes had seen all the lies. Perhaps only the most true wisdom could solve his doubts..."
"… In the end, he found the legendary enlightened man. He called himself a confusing man. He wanted to get an answer, or defeated the enlightened man by defeating those who believe in gods. The two sat quietly in a lotus pond for nine days and nine nights, and the lotus leaves in the lotus pond also experienced nine times withering and flourishing..."

"What's the result?"
"... As a result, the confusing man moved first and bowed to the enlightened man three times. He failed for the first time, but his question was not answered. He hoped to be the enlightened man's disciple to understand the true wisdom... The enlightened man shook his head, saying that the confusing man could never understand the true wisdom, but he did not refuse to let the confusing man become his disciple."
"From that day, the confusing person has followed the enlightened person and other disciples, but most of the disciples are not close to the confusing person. Only one person debates with him, practices asceticism with him, and meditates with him... One day, this person encountered a disaster. He met a woman who loved him very much, but the disciple of the confusing person can no longer have the love between men and women. Although the man knew it was wrong, he could not bear to hurt that woman, causing himself to be deceived by witchcraft. In the most dangerous moment, the confusing person arrived in time to break the witchcraft. When everyone accused that the person was not firm in his will, the confusing person stood up to defend him. The confusing person taught everyone to love sentient beings, and that woman was also sentient beings, why wasn't it love? And that person did not have desires because of love. He was just merciful and kind..."
Hearing this, Soshiyang had a clue and nodded.
"This is reasonable."
"... After many years, the delusion did not get the answer. Gradually, he began to think that the enlightened person was hiding his true wisdom from him. Finally one day, he entered the Dharma Abyss, which was where the enlightened person first learned from Alalugalan. After the enlightened person discovered it, the Dharma Abyss immediately closed the Dharma Abyss. The man asked the enlightened person for mercy and hoped to release the delusion, but the enlightened person told him that the delusion would come out by himself, but he must have changed at that time, and this is why the enlightened person was unwilling to tell him true wisdom."
Hearing this, despite being confused, Soshiyang asked subconsciously:
"Why?"
"...There is a demon in his consciousness."
"demon?"
"He himself."
"I... still can't understand, how could He... be related to the demon."
"That is his mental disorder, his obsession, which exists in the spiritual consciousness before he is born, and has no beginning or end, and is neither born nor destroyed... The awakened person once thought of transforming it, but his previous efforts were wasted in the end."
Soshiyang, who was sitting cross-legged on the ground, frowned. He knew too little about the sect of Master Shi, and these proprietary terms sounded really confusing.
But he knew at least two things-
That confusing person is probably the former emperor.
