Chapter 908 The Past of the Legion

After leaving the Ghost of Destruction, Salperdon returned to his flagship Hateful Heart.
This is a massacre cruiser, as big as a city, with hidden corners and strange scenery, sharp outlines, and dark, decaying corridors and passages.
Although the ship is said to have been in service for nearly 10,000 years, it gives Salperdon a relatively new feeling, which may be related to its long-term navigation and drifting in subspace.
On the other hand, the hatred that has been in subspace for a long time has an elusive feeling, which can be felt from the walls - a large number of unknown parasites attached to its corridors and pipes like hairsprings, and the shadows are not fixed in shape, but are constantly twisting and deforming.
Salperdon walked under a support beam and saw a mechanic's signature engraved with binary numbers.
As we walked along, the steel aisle in front of us looked like a boulevard on the spire of a rich tower. The low ceiling was supported by stone pillars. When we walked to the railing, we could see the crumbling homes of the senior crew members being placed between two generator rooms - the ship was complex and huge.
Then Salperdon passed by the room used for worship, which contained an altar and rows of prayer books engraved with blasphemous words.
Further behind is a temple, half made of stone and half made of skeleton, which symbiotically merged with crimson steel and is housed in a huge amphitheater, its cylindrical front and carved gables provide a strange environment, with wide sills lit by purple braziers, and if you stare carefully, you can see something moving inside.
But Salperdon was not distracted, just walking alone in silence, with some metal skulls and runes engraved gems jingling on his armor, reminding him of their existence and his future need to bring them to use.
But his heart was not as calm as he looked on.
In a brief moment, he thought of Soshiyan.
That hypocritical guy.
He clearly did the same thing as Huron, but believed that he was a philosopher, king, or a member of the legitimate ruling class of the empire.
Salperdon realized that the empire was completely hopeless, and even such hypocrites could exist with high sound and be named as heroes, but the real warriors fought and died in the furnace of war.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but sneer a few times.
After walking for about twenty minutes, a group of huge double doors carved out of pitch-black wood blocked Salperdon's way.
When he stood in front of the door, the servants around him had already scanned his presence and pushed open the door.
It was a huge space, full of light, but the silence was still there.
Walking into the gate, there is a gallery full of handicrafts in the distance, with tapestries hanging on the walls showing the history of a strange legion.
A comet fell into the pale snow-capped mountains, and at the same time a child with a halo behind his head appeared from the fire pit caused by the impact, his face calm, one finger pointed to the sky and the other fingered the ground.
Then a group of monks in yellow robes took the boy to the temple, and a group of pilgrims stretched out to the distance.
In the next picture, the snow-capped mountain is surrounded by endless black clouds, strange monsters gush out from the cracks in the mountains, and begin to swallow and peel off the mortals underground, using human bones as musical instruments and human skin as clothes.
This is a world full of tragedy, with gilded palaces and temples losing their former gloss and statues of the former gods destroyed.
At the center of this fallen world, he appeared as the only point of hope.
The boy became a handsome and great warrior, wearing gorgeous and scripture-filled armor, wearing a golden crown in the shape of a pagoda, riding a six-legged white horse under his crotch, and a huge lotus under his hooves, holding a twinkling colorful orb in one hand and a long sword in the other.
Before the end of the world came, he crossed the top of the snow-capped mountains and headed alone towards the Demon Kingdom.
The orb pierced the black cloud, and the long sword cut off the monster's head. The evil was defeated in front of him.
Corruption was cleaned up, his image was shining with divine light, and the monk in yellow and red robes fell before him.
The army also laid down its weapons, and people cheered and shouted his name-
Gosar! Gosar!
The story ends with the restoration of the nations in the snow-capped mountains and the poems and accounts written for Gesar.
But there is also a truth that Salperdon knew at the end. The emperor came to this world to find his descendants. Gosar returned to the stars, but he never thought that this would bring him and his world the final demise.
As Salperdon continues to deepen, paintings, murals and tapestries give way to the skulls hanging on the pedestal and hanging from the vaulted ceiling.
"Have you what you want from Huron, brother?"
Suddenly, a sound suddenly came from the side of the corridor.
Salperdon turned around, and the wall was painted with images of the primordial being debated with a group of monks.
"I'm going to find you, Toobek."
"You've got what you want after seeing it."
The smiling Tubaker walked out of the shadow, and the scriptures on his body floated slightly as he walked.
"Huron gave me a fleet and asked me to deal with Soshyan."
"Well, no surprise, Huron is a coward. Although he tried hard to pretend to be a tyrant, his erotic nature remained unchanged."
Salperdon snorted at this.
"The Knights of the Star Realm are different from the past. Although my spies have been eliminated, they have also collected a lot of information and sent it back... I was very surprised that this small battle group now has more than 20 warships, and the number of large warships accounts for almost half. Can you believe it?"
Tu Beike thought to himself for a while, then shrugged.
“It’s really incredible.”
"It's more than incredible-"
Salperdon said with some voice that could be called jealousy:
"They also have unclear relationships with many casting worlds, and even people on Mars often appear on their home planet."
As the two said, they began to walk side by side, through the gate and corridor, and the servants around them all saluted or simply knelt down.
"It seems you don't plan to fight Soshyan head-on."
Tu Beike reached out and patted the other party on the shoulder, teasing:
"I thought you wanted to kill him right away."
Salperdon stopped and nodded to Qianzi very seriously.
"You are not wrong. I want to kill him right now, but I have heavy responsibilities on my back. These responsibilities force me to calm down and analyze the pros and cons of each action. I will not let my personal feelings be above the future of the revival of the Legion. This is something more important than my life."
