Chapter 958 Tenth Company in Action

Hauer checked the communication frequency, but he only heard static signals, all of which were blocked between the ionization of the atmosphere and the thick shell of the assault chamber. Before landing, he could not speak with the company commander Armin.
The turbulence as it reenters the atmosphere to a creepy climax, then lasts for 3 and a half minutes until a warning icon appears on the display - the thruster starts.
Technical sergeants have set up procedures for the airdrop pods to prevent major air defense threats over the airdrop zone.
"This shock is like being kicked from behind by a giant."
Someone describes their current situation like this.
When the thrusters ran at full speed for three seconds until the impact point, a deafening roar sounded from under their feet.
Haumo felt another much lighter vibration, and a tearing sound was heard vaguely, followed by a series of small, sharp impacts echoing on the cabin's shell, and finally it finally stopped.
The monitor was blank at first, with an urgent red flash.
“Unlock!”
Haumo shouted at the squad channel, then smashed the quick release device of the airdrop pod with his fist.
As the door in front of him unfolded, the hydraulic device made a hissing and a whirl of air, and then stopped at about 60 degrees.
The hydraulic system kept whining, and before the safety interlock started and aborted the process, the hydraulic system almost changed the volume of the airborne chamber.
Haumo felt the deck under his feet tilt a little, and he roared in anger, took a step forward, and stepped on one foot on the hatch panel.
He heard the crackling sound of masonry and stones, the hatch recurred slightly, and then dropped by 0.5 degrees again.
Pungent smoke and heat waves began to penetrate into the interior of the reentry cabin, and as other team members tried to squeeze out of the airdrop cabin, Gomo heard the swearing sounds on the channel.
So he grabbed the door frame with one hand and the edge of the ramp with the other, climbed down the airdrop compartment, and immediately saw what was going on.
The airdrop cabin landed just on a multi-story building, and it penetrated at least four or five floors like a bullet, and finally stopped in the dilapidated basement of the building.
The faint sunlight passed through the cracked hole upstairs and was almost obscured by increasingly thicker smoke - the thrusters ignited the upper floor of the building.
The other two airborne cabins have been completely opened, and Gomo, who was unfortunately blocked by piles of wreckage. The Oscar brothers have already drilled out and are trying to drag the heavy bomb out of the cabin.
At this time, Robin came to Haumo's airborne cabin, and as he carefully stepped on his feet on the rubble, his powerful arm reached over his shoulders and made a faint whine.
“Get out of here!”
He called out, then spread his strong arms.
Then, with the sound of brick and stone grilles and metal moans, the airdrop cabin slowly stood up from a slight tilt, and the cabin door could finally be opened.
"Good job, brother,"
Gomo crawled out and said, patting the champion swordsman on the shoulder.
"We have to find a way out."
Haumo gave orders to his squad and Astart began to act.
Within a few seconds, the Tenth Company climbed up a fallen ceiling and reached the first floor of the building. Burning fragments fell on the armor between Astart like a meteor shower. The small fragments fell down without hurting them.
Although the recruits have not worn power armor yet, the scout armor they wear is different from the conventional ones, using some of the techniques Soshiyan obtained from Amyddoton, which is somewhat similar to the large Storm Armor, and also adopts a fully enclosed design.
Back on the ground, Gomo pulled out a bird from his belt.
“Where are we?”
Oscar stretched his head and took a look
"We are less than five hundred meters away from the enemy's stronghold, and it is estimated that the enemy has discovered it."
"What are you waiting for? Let's go quickly."
Haumo nodded again at the glowing reading, and the Astates didn't bother to fumble through the doorway—when they encountered a wall, they punched quickly through the fragile partition.
After a while, the team saw a large hazy light in front of them.
They had entered the outer periphery of the fortress and came to the outside streets, covered with raindrops of glass and dirty grey smoke.
The Tenth Corps walked on a narrow street, which was roughly east-west. Within the range they could see, the road was filled with piles of rubble and burnt corpses.
Most of the buildings facing the street were destroyed by shells, their fronts were blackened by the flames of small weapons and covered with craters. A broken six-wheeler fell dozens of meters to the right of the team, and the tires were still burning.
The crackling sound of weapons shooting and the impact of striker needles echoed in the air, and the ominous whistle of shells whistling overhead.
Suddenly, the roar of the engine echoed on a narrow crossing street just 20 meters away to the left of the team. Haumo immediately recognized the sound: a fast-moving civilian truck sounded four.
"Prepare for ambush!"
Haumo waved to the opposite side of the street, and Oscar then led the team into the houses on both sides, while Robin knelt behind a pile of burnt rubble, his team members next to the left of the ruins and put the heavy bomb on the rubble.
Haumo also pulled out his pistol.
The truck arrived at the corner of the street in a few seconds, rumbled and quickly crossed the road, heading towards the front line a few kilometers north.
They were modified personnel carriers equipped with crude automatic cannons. Desecration symbols and corpses tied to iron chains can be seen everywhere on the body of the car, and thick black waste gas is constantly sprayed out from the rear of the car.
Just as the first personnel carrier passed by, one of the recruits raised his hot melt gun and pointed it at the truck and pulled the trigger.
The next second, a high-intensity microwave was released from the muzzle, converting the vehicle's metal shell into overheated plasma. The personnel carrier's fuel tank exploded with an earth-shaking heavy blow, and the entire vehicle was instantly blown into pieces.
This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content later! One second later, the heavy bomb fired and fired the last truck with a fierce wave.
The bullet exploded out the vehicle's shell, dug out the craters on the heart tire, and penetrated the fragile armor plates on the personnel carrier, causing bloody damage to the people squeezed inside.
Soon, the car stopped staggeringly, and thick smoke came out from the small hole on the side.
The two in the middle turned to the left, trying to avoid the wreckage of the burning leading vehicle and escape the ambush circle. The car's automatic cannon tilted to the right, shooting a series of high-explosive shells, blowing more holes in the burned building.
The heavy bomb changed the target, but this time the shooting angle was a bit high, hitting the vehicle's small turret and tearing it apart.
The shells of the automatic cannon exploded in the heat wave, emitting an angry red light, causing the entire car to suddenly lose speed.
The third truck drove too fast to stop and rear-end the damaged car, spinning it 90 degrees to the right, almost turning it over.
"No living."
As the panicked cult team tried to escape the crashed car, the recruits shot them dead with explosive guns.
While observing the massacre calmly, Haumor watched the reaction of each recruit.
Most people seem a little excited.
At this time, the company communication channel suddenly rang.
"All troops report their location and status."
This is Armin's voice.
Hauer reiterated a map of the landing area on his tactical display and checked his coordinates.
"Company Commander, we are in good condition and all three teams landed successfully, although... it's a bit unexpected."
"Very good, wait for the order now."
"yes."
