The Elemental Plane and the Four Lords
(The original copyright belongs to Blizzard, and the translator, Turtle Gem Tavern owner Inaminlet.)
The elemental plane is a world divided into three layers. From any external perspective, it is very similar to other worlds - at least in the air and on land. The level of gas is above the intermediate level, and what supports it is the realm of water and soil (the two are on the same level). Below them is the third level - the realm of fire and the constantly decomposed lava. A visitor who accidentally arrives at this plane will at least be considered to be on an ordinary planet that may be a little unstable in the short term.
describe
When the Titans defeated the ancient gods and brought order to the world, imprisoning the Elemental Lords and their pawns in the twisted void became one of the first things they did. These messengers must be forbidden to move freely, otherwise the order the Titans were trying to create would be disrupted. Therefore, the Titans created a separate plane to imprison their ancient enemies. After a brief period, the Titans locked all the elements they could find into this sloppy jail
Among them, the plane created by this Titan is a rather narrow sphere—probably the size of a single world. Above this world, a yellow sphere that releases light and heat circling, playing the "sun" of this complete world. Ordinary gravity attracts objects to the inside of the sphere—where the flame realm is located. A layer of rocks that is always full of hollows support the surface of the earth and water. Above this, the air layer covers the earth and can never touch the chaotic flames of the lower layer.
The planet is twisted in a strange way and tends to hinder Azeroth's creatures. With the adaptation to the planet's abilities, it is no longer possible to escape by ordinary movement. A creature strives to escape the simple and cruel cycle of the planet and go to the other side. Therefore, if he crosses the sea with a boat, he will eventually reach the other end of the world's only continent. The continent itself is slightly larger than Kalim, and the width of the sea is almost the same in every direction.
The four elements that make up this plane have always stood opposite each other and fought each other, occasionally very intense. Volcanoes tear apart the solid coverings and attacked the lands and oceans as much as possible. The air forms unpredictable storms, forming tornadoes and hurricanes that pass through the planet's surface. Even under the devastation of these disasters, life still exists, just like the life of Azeroth, and the lives that are unknown to the sages.
Features and Regions
The elemental plane consists of four realms: Qi, Earth, Fire and Water. Each realm is dominated by an elemental lord ruler who lives in a fortress or a special area.
Qi: The Skywall
Qi is over the middle level of the elemental plane, and when you first glimpse it, it is very similar to the sky of Azeroth. A yellow sun, circling steadily in the air, surrounded by floating clouds and other matter, is a wilder storm. Birds and some stranger creatures fly around.
Above the sun, where the ground cannot see, is a fortress of air elements. The thick walls hanging on the columnar storm are made of stones stolen from the earth elements. Lightning and strong winds keep storming the walls of the sky, making flying nearby almost impossible.
Inside the fortress, the wind-harder Aulakir controls the government and rule his elemental fellows. He likes to watch the elemental planes in peace and stroll under the disguise of thunder clouds. Sometimes, he will attack the oceans and earth below for no reason, although he avoids fighting with other elements the rest of the time. No one knows his real motive.
Wandering in the country of air requires the ability to fly, but it can still be dangerous. In addition to the thick clouds, there are sparse wind elements roaming in the sky. The Wall of the Sky is a place full of intense hurricanes and curved lightning, as well as a place where the airflow is rising wildly and the dark clouds are roaring.
Elemental Lord
Qi: Al’akirthe Windlord
Aulakir ruled the sky in the elemental plane. His territory bordered all other elements, and the influence of the sky wall and the rest of the elemental kingdoms was stronger than that between the other kingdoms, but he was the most volatile and introverted among all the elemental lords. Just as he would suddenly cause conflict, he might ignore the invasion of other elements after the conflict. His emotions were as volatile as the weather.
Olakir fights with his superiority in speed. He will first raid at those flying enemies in return for their provocation of his air domination. Trying to climb up the sky to fight him is a dangerous idea. Once the enemies in the sky are wiped out, he will usually use his whirlwind power to sweep the creatures on the ground, lift them high in the air, and then throw them down, and they will be punished with this cruelty no matter how they provoke Olakir's power.
Although Orakir is the weakest among the Elemental Lords, it is difficult for other lords to attack him with all their might in his territory. He rarely attacks them directly, but chooses to indirectly use his disaster as much as possible to retaliate when facing adversity.
Olakiel is the absolute supreme ruler of the sky. He is awe of other air elements and flying creatures. Legend has it that he is able to have all the air magic in the multiverse. Even if this is true, he rarely solves those difficult problems himself, unless the problem has affected himself.
Soil: Deep nest/Deephone
Far below the sky wall is a continent named after the deep nest. The surface of the earth is very rough, covered with rifts and sinkholes, and earthquakes occur regularly. When the lower flame kingdom tear the earth and break through, the majestic volcanoes will form until the earth elements of Seraseren block this invasion.
Deep nests are made up of caves, tunnels and countless entrances and exits. They are filled with worms, cave creatures and other underground creatures. All kinds of jade and gems can be found here, even those not known to the Azeroth world can be found here, but these are considered to be the personal property of Thrasseren. In her kingdom, any mining activity is forbidden. Some sages believe that a few precious stones possess powerful natural magical powers, but this conjecture may never be confirmed.
On the surface of the earth, life is difficult to survive, but strong plants and animals try their best to survive there. Their lives are short and dangerous, but Shima Serasen will raise them as much as possible. Attacking her "children" is the quickest way to make her hate you.
In few places, the surface of the deep nest is similar to some places covered with rocks and gravel in Azeroth. Those who come to the elemental plane can rest there, although the earth is shaking regularly and terrible.
Elemental Lord
Soil: HeStonemother
Serrasen was like she chose to be, a powerful opponent, but she was the most peaceful of all the Elemental Lords. She encouraged everything to grow with patience and maternal love, and only loved to rest for a long time with creatures that had settled in her land. She often felt that she had been fighting with other Elemental Lords: Orakir eroded her surface with the wind, Nepturon was washing her shore with his waves all the time, and Ragnaros, the high-temperature furnace, stirring her core. She would be extremely happy if the three of them left.
Thraseren has difficulty getting angry and tries to avoid fighting. If she rises up to fight, she is still a fearsome and powerful opponent. Her trick is to rush to the most dangerous enemy, slam her target into tiny pieces, and then move to the next one. When she faces a real challenge, she will quickly fall into the earth and retreat.
The stone mother Seraseren is the ruler of earth, dust, stone and mountains. She is respected by all earth elements and creatures that live under the earth. Some wild druids regard her as the embodiment of world peace and tranquility. Some sages believe that she feels pain when the earth weeps with the wings of Death and his fellows. Even so, she still does not take any action on the dragon.
Water: The AbyssalMaw
The ocean of the elemental plane brews all the time and uses waves and storms to attack the earth surrounded by it. The ocean is endless, deep in many places, and sometimes it has almost reached the country of flame below. The liquid itself is constantly changing - sometimes salty and turbid, sometimes light and clean. A large number of elemental creatures exist together with some large beasts like octopus monsters, but the ocean does not care about life.
The tide hunter, Naiptulon, lives in the depths of the ocean, protects his kingdom suspiciously from all threats. His kingdom is called the bottomless abyss. He and the flame demon Ragnaros have never stopped fighting. Ragnaros have been trying to use his anger to break through the crust to severely damage the ocean. The tide hunter has always made the ocean surging and hit the earth's kingdom with waves and storms. The cunning and powerful Naiptulon has many secrets, and for many reasons, only aquatic creatures can truly know these secrets.
On the surface of the elemental plane ocean, there are some rocky islands that are still resisting the endless invasion of the land by Neptulon. At the farthest point from the Kingdom of Serasen, Frostland is floating, a piece of glaciers that are mile-by-mile (1,600 meters) wide. Like a giant iceberg, the frostland extends deeper under the sea, and even touches the seabed. Smaller large ice blocks occasionally fall off and then float across the ocean, melting slowly on the way to the deep nest. Some icebergs are occupied by ice elements (element combinations) and other creatures.
Elemental Lord
Water: Neptulon the Tidehunter
The tide hunter Neptulon is the soul of the deep sea in his dominance. For those who are noticed by him, dare to ignore his anger and shuttle through the waves; and those who enter his realm without his permission, but who are self-reliant on him, he can play with you as he wishes. He is interested in attacking those who are self-reliant - constantly eroding the rock-like beach of the stone mother and extinguishing the flames of the flame demon at any time.
Neptulon loves to play with his prey, dragging it into the water and letting it escape temporarily. Sometimes, he exiled an unfortunate victim to an island and then allowed him to enjoy the torture of tides and vortexes. He usually tries to identify who cannot survive in the water for a long time and drag them far away before picking up the remaining opponents. He particularly likes to extinguish the flames and has a deep hatred with the fire elements.
The tide hunter, Naiptulon, is the ruler of water, lakes, rivers and oceans. All water elements and creatures that use water and cold as their main abilities will respect him. Some believe that when a wise creature is drowned, his soul will pass through Naiptulon's kingdom on his way to his final destination. He should have left these souls that make him happy and interested, but Naiptulon laughed at such thoughts.
Fire: Flame Fields/Fairlands
Deep below the earth and the ocean, there is a world of flames and ash hidden - the realm of flames. Although it is a terrible land, the comingers can survive because of a cruel but contradictory law of the universe - the flames require air to survive and fuel to fill their hunger. In the realm of flames, everything here is in an endless cycle - the ash itself will gradually transform into the fuel of the future, and when it is burned, it will turn back into the ash.
In the middle of a huge lake of flames stands the Fortress of Savron, the lair of the flame demon Ragnaros. Until recently, he has ruled his underground kingdom with iron fist. Three hundred years ago, he was summoned to fight in the Dwarf Civil War, the Battle of the Three Hammers. This unthinking action caused the Red Ridge Mountains torn apart, thus forming the Black Stone Tower today. Now, during this period of extremely weak, he stayed quietly at the bottom of the volcano in Azeroth and striving to find his way home. During this period, his elemental princes were trapped in endless battles for the ruling of the territory of Savron and other flame fields.
The flame domain occupies the bottom of the "planet" of the elemental plane. Just as the bowl-shaped sky wall is above the plane, the flame domain below has the same arc. The "land" below the surface is dirty and viscous bubble tar, as well as the soft sludge and stones falling from the sky - deep nests, falling sludge and stones. In some places, fuel lakes are formed, which burn all the time and splash high temperature smoke into the air.
The organisms and semi-organisms that fall from the nest, and even the liquids that penetrate from the higher bottomless abyss, provide fuel for these immortal fires at all times. Where the Prince of Flame fought against Thrasseren, huge volcanoes rose from the ground, and lava was splashed around the flame realm and above, and sometimes reached the bottom of the bottomless abyss and even higher deep nest surfaces, and then sprayed harmful smoke into the kingdom of Orakir.
Elemental Lord
Fire: RagnarostheFirelord
In the late stage of the Dwarf Civil War - the Battle of Three Hammers, Ragnaros was mistakenly summoned to Azeroth by the Black Iron King Sorison. Entering the material world, his arrival brought disaster - he tore the Red Ridge Mountains and formed the Black Stone Volcano. Ragnaros is now living in the volcano, waiting to escape from the material world. Although he has enslaved the Black Iron Dwarf who summoned him, his ambitions are still beginning to ravage the nearby world.
Ragnaros is the type that will always be willing to create grief. In combat, he avoids attacking those who are immune or able to resist flames. Instead, he will focus on attacking those who can be damaged by the flames. If he cannot make enemies suffer, he will tear the ground under their feet and let the rushing lava destroy his enemies. If this move does not achieve his desire, he will usually retreat because he loses the interest in continuing to fight. He will not be glorious for withdrawing from the battle that is frightened by him, nor will he be ashamed of withdrawing from the battle that becomes boring.
The flame demon Ragnaros ruled on fire, heat, and fire. He was awe of all fire elements and creatures that used fire as their main weapons, which were more powerful than the few arsonists. Some magicians believed that when they were using high-level flame magic, they heard Ragnaros' contemptuous ridicule, but most of this seemed to be their imagination. Ragnaros would be out of his plane at present, because he was summoned to Azeroth by the Black Iron Dwarf of Kazmodan. The Black Iron Dwarf is currently loyal to him, and he is trying to find a way back to the Elemental Plane and back to the Flame Realm.
...
Little White Rabbit Guess Note: I don’t think the flame demon Ragnaros will find a way back to the flame realm. You must know that he was sealed in by the Titan gods. There is like a prison for him. If you have the chance to come out, who would want to go back? Are you stupid?
