Chapter 017: Going to Beijing Alone

The journey from Tongzhou to Bianjing is not short, and it will take half a month to rush.

Changge is not in a hurry. She walks slowly alone, not like rushing on the road, but like she is traveling around, stopping and looking around, and living a comfortable and comfortable life.

When she was on the road during the day and stayed at night, she never worried about safety issues. Even like today, she was not in a good position to get into the city before the city gate was closed, and she had to sleep in the wild. She was still calm and unhurried. She took a piece of clothes from her bag and spread it on the grass, lay down freely, and then raised her legs and slept soundly.

Dinner was useless, her belly was empty, Changge slept for a while, and suddenly the smell of meat came into her nose. She opened her eyes lazily and saw that there was no one around, but there was a piece of kraft paper next to her. On the paper was a roasted pheasant, which was full of fragrance and delicious color, which made her hungry and couldn't help but drool.

Changge raised his eyebrows lightly and sat up calmly. A snow-white thick fur cloak slid down from her shoulders. The corners of her lips slightly raised, a faint smile spread out, and her heart was as warm as spring.

A small pheasant, when Changge was extremely hungry, quickly ate so much that she didn't even have bones left. Her stomach was finally filled. She wiped her mouth with satisfaction, got up and found a hidden place to solve her physiological problems, and then came back and fell asleep.

Changge had a problem sleeping, that is, he liked to kick the quilt. Now that there is no quilt, she habitually kicked the cloak. She obviously kicked it away, but she soon covered it again. Then she looked like a naughty child. The other party covered it quickly and she seemed to be happy. However, the other party also had patience and competed with her all night until she died of sleep in the middle of the night and couldn't kick it anymore.

At dawn, a red sun slowly rose from the east, and large areas of morning light poured down from the gaps between the leaves. The mottled shadows overlapped and golden light flashed, completely bathing the forest in the wild in the light, bright and dazzling.

The loud cries of birds awakened Changge from her sleep. She stretched and sat up while yawning. She found that the cloak was covered with extinguished firewood beside her. She couldn't help laughing. No wonder she didn't feel cold at all at night!

Changge was in a very happy mood. She took out a handkerchief and soaked it in water. She washed it briefly, then packed up her bag and continued on the road.

In a blink of an eye, a few days passed, on the first day of March, Changge arrived at the town thirty miles outside Bianjing City.

Although she was alone along the way, she had no shortage of food, clothing, housing and transportation, and was safe everywhere. Unfortunately, her money was almost all offshore, and she only brought a few taels of silver, so by this time, she was penniless and a piece of clothing looked worn and tattered because she was accidentally cut by branches while in the woods many days ago.

On this day, the town was a market day, and all kinds of sales were heard. Changge looked at the donkey and horse market not far away, touched his chin, took her horse, and walked over with a swagger, "Boss, I have a horse that I want to change to you, and you can find the difference for me, how about it?"

"Okay, let me see." The boss responded happily, walked around the horse, patted the horse's head, and said, "How about finding you five taels of silver?"

Changge nodded, "The deal is done. But I want your little black donkey."

The business was completed, Changge followed the donkey's hair and said with a smile, "From now on, your name will be Heidan'er. I, Meng Changge, are your master, have you recorded it?"
