Chapter 1 Car Accident

Chongqing is still a little hot in September, but a sudden heavy rain in the morning brought coolness to the city. After the rain, the sky was clear, and the streets were filled with fallen leaves and a lot of water. However, there were more pedestrians on the roadside. Many elderly people who had been staying at home before also took their children out for a walk and shopping and breathed in fresh air.

There is a middle school next to this noisy street but it is extremely quiet.

At this time, a young man in his twenties appeared on the empty campus avenue. He hurried to the locked school gate and shouted to the communication room next to him: "Old Liu, open the small door!"

Old Man Liu, who was in charge of the door, stuck his head out of the window and saw that the person talking was Xue Chang, and immediately smiled and asked, "Teacher Xue, did you finish class so early?"

"It's too boring at school, go out for a walk." Xue Chang responded with a gloomy face and answered the question irrelevantly.

Old Man Liu subconsciously looked up at the sky: "It's not boring, it just rained, it's very cool."

Old Man Liu's wife pushed him next to her and whispered: "Damn old man, just open the door if you ask you to open it, so much nonsense!"

"Oh, oh." Old man Liu quickly took the key hanging on the wall, left the communication room, and walked towards the school gate.

Old Man Liu's wife spoke again: "Teacher Xue, I just got some fresh pig's trotters. The stewed trotter soup should be very good. Do you want to come some?"

There is a small grocery store next to the communication room, run by Old Man Liu and his wife, selling some study utensils, entertainment toys, biscuits, bread and other miscellaneous commodities, and even buying breakfast. The main buyer is of course the students of the school. Later, they found that the school teachers were often busy until very late and often had no time to buy vegetables and cook, so they simply bought some vegetables and meat. While facilitating faculty and staff, they also added a channel to make money.

Xue Chang's face calmed down a little, and she said simply: "Leave two for me and I'll come back at noon to get them."

"I want it."

After Xue Chang walked out of the school gate, Old Man Liu closed the small door and walked back to the communication room. His wife pointed to Xue Chang's departure and whispered to Old Man Liu: "You are just stupid. Didn't you see him angry? You must have quarreled with another teacher. You are still young and have a bad temper."

"You say less. Teacher Xue is very good and very polite to us. He often takes care of business and sometimes takes the initiative to dissipate cigarettes and chat with me." Old Man Liu complained with some dissatisfaction: "Unlike other teachers, their heads are raised to the sky. Oh, a good man, they are bullied!"

"Stop talking, if others hear it, do you still want to do business here?" His wife beat Old Man Liu.

Old Man Liu sighed lightly, sat back on the chair, and looked dull again.

…………………………………………………………

Xue Chang did have a quarrel with someone this morning, and the cause is very simple.

Because students in the third year of junior high school have to face the high school entrance examination, their study time is very tight, so courses such as music, art, and physical education have to make way for the main subjects such as Chinese, mathematics, and English. With just one sentence from the head teacher, the time of these supplementary courses will be replaced free of charge by the main subjects.

Xue Chang has been teaching physical education in this middle school for several years. He is not the young man who just graduated. Although he feels frustrated and is usually considered to be a cooperation, because no teacher told him to replace today's physical education class two days ago, so he went to class as usual today. Who knew that just after the students gathered on the playground, the head teacher came and said he wanted to take math class.

He felt very angry, but he reluctantly agreed.

But the students were unwilling to leave the playground because they studied hard in the mountains of books and questions every day, and were extremely eager to have a free time to exercise and relax, so they asked the class teacher to take today's physical education class.

But the short and fat head teacher looked straight and said something... It's time to go, and then the middle school entrance examination will be bad, and you will cry... and so on.

Xue Chang was angry when he heard this from the side: In the eyes of you, sports is a terrible thing that wastes time and destroys people's future!

As soon as his temper got up, Xue Chang immediately interrupted the class teacher's nagging and clearly refused to change classes. How to dissuade the class teacher from being the class teacher was just not letting go.

Amid the cheers of the classmates, the class teacher left in disappointment.

But after a while, he called the director of the teaching.

In front of the serious-looking director, Xue Chang finally surrendered.

After walking out of the school gate, Xue Chang looked at the plaque of Chongqing No. 1 Middle School hanging on the lintel. When she recalled the loss of the students when they left the playground just now, she felt ashamed of their trust, but she felt ashamed of her. But he had no choice: Now it is the millennium, when state-owned enterprises are reformed, many enterprises in Chongqing have gone bankrupt and reorganized, and many laid-off workers are confused and helpless. It would be great to have a formal job in this year now! It is nothing to offend a class teacher, but offend a school’s teaching director. Can he still work easily in this school in the future?!

Xue Chang, who became more and more cowardly, kicked the fallen leaves at the school gate with force. Unexpectedly, the rain stuck these fallen leaves tightly to the ground. Not only did it not kick them apart, but instead splashed mud on his face.

"Ph! Ph!" Xue Chang spit out the mud and sand in his mouth in a mess, and the anger in his heart dissipated a lot: Forget it, your arm can't twist your thighs, do whatever you want in school. If you don't have physical education classes, I'm still free. I might as well take a few days off, stay at home, and finish watching the set of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" I just bought.

Thinking of this, Xue Chang was no longer going shopping and relaxing. He turned around and walked towards the school gate, hoping to buy pig's trotters now and go home to stew the soup.

Just then, he heard a burst of exclamation: "Child, run out quickly!!"

"Stop quickly!! There are children in front!!"

Xue Chang suddenly turned around and suddenly saw: A three or four-year-old boy ran to the middle of the road ahead. A bus was driving. The driver should have seen the child in front of the road and braked urgently. The huge body roared like a sneeze. But the unfortunate thing is that Chongqing is a mountain city, and none of the roads in the city are flat. The road in front of the middle school has a slope of more than 45 degrees. In addition, it was raining and the road slipped. The bus was still driving straight towards the child at a slow speed. The child was completely frightened and stood there motionless, just crying.

Before Xue Chang could think too much, she turned around and rushed towards her child. The unremitting physical exercise from the middle school to college was fully demonstrated at this moment: she rushed over the sidewalk quickly, took a big step, and crossed the isolation belt.

It was too late!... Xue Chang's confidence increased as he looked at the child getting closer and closer to him.

Suddenly his feet slipped, "Bang!" He fell heavily to the ground.

Who threw the banana peel!... Xue Chang struggled to get up, and a "rumble" roar sounded in his ears. The bus was already close to the child, and he could even hear the panic shouts of passengers in the bus.

At this time, you must take a great risk to save someone! But Xue Chang did not give up. He yelled, supported the ground with both hands, leaned forward, kicked the ground with his right foot, and rushed out like an arrow.
