005 Tactical Manual

Hearing this, Tim raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at Pel in surprise.

Everyone in the coaching staff knows that Pell has always been frivolous when he became famous at a young age, and with DeRozan as close as his brothers, he rarely takes the rest of the team seriously. Now a sparring coach actually makes him volunteer to play. It's really weird, but as long as the players are inspired to fight, it will definitely be a good thing.

Tim waved to Li Zhe, "You are in the same group as Dwight, Pell and Marcus, you play 2V2 in the mid-range kickoff. As long as you can score a goal or grab an offensive rebound, you will keep attacking without having to exchange ball rights every time."

This arrangement is very reasonable. Only by confrontation can the real level of ball control be reflected. Otherwise, Perkins, who looks extremely bulky in the NBA, can change hands and change directions under his crotch and then go straight to the inside line for three steps, turning into Westbrook and slashing with one hand.

Li Zhe stood up and walked quickly to the center line.

Considering that his ball control attribute is 72 and Rick Fox is 75, which adds up to almost zero improvement, he decided to take a detour and use Perl's 180CM height as a breakthrough.

As soon as Li Zhe took the ball into his hand, Pell had already approached his body, staring at the basketball with his eyes tightly, as if he was executing the last defense of G7 in the finals, and had the momentum of becoming successful if he failed.

Li Zhe turned sideways slightly, raised his left hand to block Perl's chest, and dribbled the ball with his right hand towards the top of the arc.

Pell chased and pressed, but was unable to pose a threat due to his wingspan and height.

The two of them arrived at the top of the arc in a blink of an eye. Li Zhe accelerated and rushed to the free throw line, holding the ball with both hands to start the layup.

Pere grabbed the position in advance and was ready to block the block at any time, but after Li Zhe took the first step, he took off and threw the ball directly.

Don't play by the rules!

The basketball rebounds into the net.

Pell stood under the basket, his eyes as big as a bull's eyes, and he looked confused.

The two returned to the center line, Li Zhe received the ball again, and Pell still defended closely.

In a blink of an eye, the two rushed to the free throw line again, Li Zhe continued to lay up three times, and Perl bent over in advance.

Then I thought that Li Zhe leaned on his back and scored goals with his low hand.

Pell got angry and pressed directly on the middle line for the third time.

Li Zhe held the ball with both hands and passed it to Dwight, then ran back to the top of the arc, and received a return pass and scored a three-pointer.

With a clang, the shot hit the iron! But he reacted quickly enough and rushed to the inside to grab the offensive rebound, easily dropping the ball into the box.

After scoring three goals in a row, Pell looked embarrassed and took the initiative to give up the press.

Seeing this, Philip nodded, "He suffered a loss in speed and height, and was worried that he would be easily broken."

Tim shook his head, "It might be even worse."

After saying that, Li Zhe suddenly stopped the ball and took action in a big three-pointer position.

When Pell reacted and jumped to block the ball, the basketball had already flew to the ring.

Swish! The shot hits hollow, and the sound of the basketball rubbing against the Nets is pleasant.

Pel gritted his teeth and fisted, shouting loudly again, and the momentum seemed to have a deep hatred with Li Zhe.

This situation made the coaching staff smile. Tim turned his head and looked at Philip, "Did these two have had a holiday?"

"Yesterday's sparring selection, Peier's main attacker, and Jamie succeeded in defense 11 consecutive times."

"So that's it...Marcus, go up and double-team." Tim suddenly ordered.

Marcus rushed to the top of the arc when he heard this. Li Zhe had no time to pass the ball, so he hurriedly pulled the ball back.

But Marcus and Pell pressed each other step by step, and Li Zhe could only pull the ball and rushed to the right wing, but even so, he still couldn't get rid of it.

In desperation, Li Zhe jumped and passed the ball to the top of the arc in the air.

The basketball flew over Marcus and Pell's fingers, which was very thrilling, Dwight received the ball and scored a layup easily.

"This guy is very good, his style of play is flexible and changeable, he is calm enough at critical moments but he dares to take risks and fight." Tim's tone was full of praise. "Your decision to change candidates is very correct."

"He talked to me yesterday and said he wanted to play as a substitute. What do you think?" Philip asked.

"We need to observe for a while. The difference between 2V2 and 5V5 in the half-time game is too big. And he has such performance because Pell is only 180CM tall, so it may be very different to change his personal defense."

The 2V2 halftime ended in a blink of an eye, and Li Zhe and Dwight first hit 11 goals to win.

The team members have arrived, Tim briefly introduced that Li Zhe officially joined the Troy basketball team.

Tim then spoke and explained the team's current situation and future arrangements.

USC will face its last preseason opponent on the 29th, namely UC Riverside. Since that game does not include the team's overall record in the 2008-09 season, many substitutes will receive playing time.

In Tim's words, he will inspect the substitute players in this game. Those who pass the assessment will enter the team's final 15-man roster. The name can be retained on the NCAA official website forever and can also go out with the team.

After Tim's speech, the team began daily training.

Warm up, physical fitness, shooting, and finally a light confrontation tactical exercise.

Li Zhe has just joined the team and is not familiar with the tactics, so he can only observe on the sidelines for the time being, but he is not idle either. Instead, he carefully analyzes how the team plays, because if he becomes a substitute, he will probably play point guard.

The team had four point guards before, and the starting lineup was Hackett, 190CM tall, averaged 12.3 points and 4.7 assists per game. His status in the team was higher than that of Vucevic, and he could be said to be the third player in the team.

The other three point guards are Perl, Dante and Renne. The average data per game of the three are not as good as Hackett.

After half an hour, he understood why there was OJ last year? Mayo's record was so poor.

Because the team only has four main tactics, namely DeRozan and the center play pick-and-roll, Hackett and the center play pick-and-roll, Tay Gibson catches the ball in the elbow area and DeRozan plays singles on the outside.

In this case, as long as you encounter a team that changes defense quickly enough or the players feel bad, you can only sing a song.

After all, Tim has been an NBA head coach, and there are definitely more than these four tactics in his mind. He probably doesn’t care about coaching and is thinking about how to send outstanding players to designated economic companies all day long.

It was almost noon and the training ended.

Li Zhe was about to leave the stadium, but Tim stopped him.

"You hold this tactical manual, and all the team's tactics are in it. You memorize it after class and try to remember it as much as possible. I will check the first 20 pages tomorrow morning. As long as your answer is more than 50%, you can train with the team."

Li Zhe took the tactical manual and looked through it. He found that there were more than 100 pages, most of which were pictures and simple text.

From the catalogue, there are very few complex tactics such as pick-and-roll tactics, and no ball cover, which can be said to have no tactical system at all, and even pick-and-roll tactics are a bad street.

“What if I answered all the answers correctly?”

Tim curled his lips when he heard this, "If all 20 pages answered correctly, then I can consider letting you play in the next game."

"No, I mean all 100 pages of content." Li Zhe smiled.

"Are you kidding? Even if you start memorizing it from now until 9 a.m. tomorrow, it will only take 21 hours. If you can write it all down, then you will be the second Chris Paul."

"Paul dares not take it, but I will give it my best and see you tomorrow."
