Chapter 9 The Doctor Who Wants To Be A Knight

The poor young man was dressed in shabby noble robes and was obviously a prisoner of pirates.

After seeing Li Ang, he took a long breath and praised the goddess of creation in a low voice: "Damia! Sir! Thank you for saving me..."

Li Ang is a little confused. After spending half a year on this continent, there are people from all countries in the arena. He also has some understanding of the gods believed in by various countries. Damia is not the belief of Filzwei or the Lion Kingdom.

"Do you believe in Damia, the goddess of creation? Then you should be a Bacchus - but that is at the southernmost point of the continent. How can you appear on the west coast?"

The young man nodded hurriedly, with a smile on his face: "Thank you Damia...it turns out there are people on the west coast who know about the God of Creation! Sir, your friend seems to be injured? I think I can help..."

"Are you a doctor?"

Klose also put away his less serious eyes: "That's great, I have an unlucky guy with an injured foot here..."

After saying that, he lifted up the pirate with a broken leg who was lying cowering in the cave, vacated the bed, and turned around and shouted: "Kahn, help Samer in..."

The poor pirate with a broken leg was thrown to the ground and screamed like a slaughtered pig.

The young man frowned: "This... sir! You shouldn't treat an unarmed wounded person like this!"

Klose turned back with a sharp look: "Child, you have to know that he is still our enemy..."

Li Ang waved his hand in the middle: "Okay, okay, Klose, take this poor guy out for interrogation first and see if there is any important information... Do you mind helping my friend look at his foot injury first?"

, Mr. Young Doctor?"

The young man looked at the pirates on the ground uneasily, then at Klose and Li Ang, and nodded hesitantly.

Klose carried the pirate on the ground with one hand like a chicken to the outside of the cave and threw him to the fire.

Before the interrogation could begin, the pirate had already started crying: "What do you want to know? I'll tell you everything, don't do anything..."

Li Ang drank the soup slowly, found a clean place in the cave and sat down, watching the young man wrap up the injury on the foot of the Mettenheim swordsman named Summer.

"What's your name, doctor?"

The young man was very serious when doing things and his methods were quite professional. He replied without turning his head: "My name is Ansen. I am a student of Boshi City Theological Seminary, not a doctor..."

Anson came from Ashcoman, a big city in the south, and he was the son of a minor nobleman.

However, after losing his fiefdom, his father became a businessman.

His family wanted him to become a noble priest - they were all loyal believers in Damia, the goddess of creation.

As a result, Anson was sent to the seminary in Boshi City.

But like all families, his parents did not ask the young man about his dreams...

Anson couldn't bear the boring chanting and copying in the seminary. He also saw with his own eyes that the clergy showed no mercy to the lower class people, and even acted sanctimoniously in front of others, while behind the scenes men stole and women prostituted.

He didn't want to associate with such clergy, so he ran away to find his dream.

He still believed in and respected the goddess Damia, but he longed to become a knight, a true knight with eight knightly virtues. He felt that the Knights of the Shining Cross in the City of Knowledge could probably fulfill his dream.

But unfortunately, he got on the wrong ship in the city of Bosch...a ship flying the flag of the Shining Cross. That ship took him along the Sava River across half of the continent and to the west coast - that's

A group of pirates, that cross flag was just a successful disguise.

Fortunately, Anson learned a lot of medical skills during his years in the seminary, so he became the pirates' temporary doctor-at least until his father paid enough ransom.

According to Anson, there were originally about fifty pirates in this camp, but Li Ang and the others only met less than half of them - because more pirates went to Boshi City again.

Anson didn't know why they kept going back and forth to the City of Knowledge, but it didn't look like they were sending a letter to his home to ask for ransom - the pirates didn't ask him to write a letter asking for help, and it didn't take so many people to send a letter.

It is precisely because the pirate leader is not here that they will directly attack any stranger they encounter...

"Then what do you do now? Do you plan to go home?"

Li Ang asked. He had a good chat with Anson. He was a polite, kind and upright young man.

Anson shook his head: "I have to go to the seminary when I get home. I don't want to go back to the seminary... Mr. Li Ang."

Li Ang gave a thumbs up in approval: "Adhering to one's ideals is a virtue. If you are willing, my team just lacks a doctor."

Anson sighed: "If possible, I would rather be a knight than a doctor...Thank you for taking me in, Your Excellency Li Ang."

Li Ang smiled and looked a little strange: "The Knights of the Shining Cross are famous for their medical skills, but I heard that they no longer treat civilians? Do you plan to become such a knight?"

Anson was stunned and shook his head: "No, it should be a knight's duty to treat civilians. No matter what others do, I want to become a true knight."

Li Ang looked at Ansen who was still bandaging the injured meticulously, and finally nodded seriously: "A true knight... you will get what you wish for."

After saying that, he drank the soup in his hand, threw down his helmet, pulled out a piece of wire from the corner of the cave, and began to poke at the shackles that held Anson.

For a modern person, this simple single spring lock is really easy to open. Moreover, this is also the unique skill of "Leon Griffin" when he was on the streets as a boy.

‘Ta’, a clear circlip sound sounded, Anson rubbed his ankles and thanked: "Thank you, Mr. Li Ang..."

Li Ang stood up with a surprised look on his face.

Because, his riding and slashing system never gave any prompts.

The words "Anson has joined your team" that he had been waiting for for a long time never appeared.

In the team list, there is still only one great swordsman and twelve Mettenheim adventurers.

And Ansen looked at the small piece of wire in Li Ang's hand with a complicated expression, and looked at Li Ang with a look of disbelief.

"Sir, the pirate outside seems to know some strange things, but he is only willing to tell the doctor..."

Klose came in and saw his men who had been bandaged, and looked at Anson with a hint of warmth.

Li Ang looked at An Sen, but his eyes were a little complicated.

Anson walked out of the cave and squatted in front of the pirate. The pirate whispered in his ear for a while, and then looked at him eagerly, his eyes full of desire for survival.

Anson was silent for a while, nodded towards the pirate, stood up and turned back to Li Ang and said: "He hopes you can spare his life..."

Li Ang grinned strangely and asked the pirate on the ground: "You clearly know that I am the leader here, why do you want to negotiate terms with Anson? He can't make the decision."

The pirate bared his teeth and showed what was probably a smile: "Because I know he will keep his promise... If you kill me, he won't tell you anything."

No one in Pendor is a fool, even a pirate knows what is best for him.

Li Ang looked at Anson: "You decide, the future glorious knight."

Anson was stunned for a moment, then leaned down and saluted with his chest in his arms: "Then, please forgive him. He is disabled and can no longer do evil."

Li Ang nodded and smiled.
