Chapter 235

The First Person of Face

The storytelling theater is held as usual, and the more listeners gather, the more they gather.

The number of people is so large that it is blocked by many traffic.

Jingzhao Mansion has become a gatekeeper.

Standing at the outermost part of the crowd, he changed his important role in arresting people and became a traffic commander, directing the carriages and cars rushing towards this side toward the sparsely populated streets.

The surrounding inns also saw the opportunity, opened their doors and freed up the huge courtyard to park carriages and cars for those who came to listen to books.

In addition, there are also services for feeding horses, donkeys and cows.

The teahouse next to it even borrowed the clever spirit of Baoyuanzhai and invented a small and portable ceramic kettle, which was filled with hot tea and sold to the scholar.

The listener can hold it in his hands to keep warm, and can also be used to quench thirst.

Once it appeared, it was very popular among people who listened to books.

Those who sell candied haws, glutinous rice balls, fried chicken, duck necks, and stinky tofu... There are a wide range of department stores and snacks and foods carried by walking vendors in baskets, walking through the crowd of listeners and hawking.

As usual, Ni Tu made an opening remark, and then began to talk about Sun Wukong protecting Master Faxian to go to the West to obtain scriptures.

After a quarter of an hour of talk, the old master came on stage to start teaching Confucian classics.

The old Master fully absorbed Ni Tu's storytelling routine and told classic Confucian sentences in vivid stories.

The audience was still very satisfied.

Wait until the old master trembled and told the classic Confucian story.

It was Zhen Zhen'er who played.

He continued to tell the story of Sun Wukong that Ni Tu had told before.

At the beginning, there was a commotion at the scene, and Zhen Zhen'er was also a little excited and stuttered in language, but as the explanation continued, Zhen Zhen'er began to let go of her courage, gritted her teeth and fooled her words.

The three days and three nights when Ni Tu was in seclusion were actually recording the contents of Journey to the West based on his memory.

But at this time, Xuanzang was still suffering in India.

It is impossible to create a god for him first.

In history, Faxian, who made outstanding contributions to Eastern and Western civilizations, was the first monk who was confirmed by history to go to India and bring back the true scriptures.

His achievements are indelible.

More importantly, he went west to India to seek scriptures, and also experienced many hardships, and also experienced the Silk Road by land and the Silk Road by Maritime.

It has left a brilliant mark for the exchanges between the East and the West.

The sixty-two-year-old Faxian first crossed the Taklamakan Desert, then crossed the Pamir Plateau, and finally arrived at the ancient Indian country of Kantura. From here, Faxian traveled to India and collected a large number of Sanskrit classics.

Faxian walked by land and by sea when he returned to China. He walked along the Ganges River, took a merchant boat across the Bay of Bengal, and arrived at the Lion Kingdom.

The Lion Kingdom recorded by Faxian is Sri Lanka in later generations.

Board a boat from Sri Lanka, take the sea route to Indonesia, and then head north to return to the Central Plains.

Faxian was on the ocean where he returned to his country, and encountered wind and waves, but he arrived at an unknown place and floated on the ocean for several months. He suddenly saw a continent. When he landed ashore, he realized that it was Changguang County, Qingzhou, which is Laoshan in Jimo, Shandong in later generations.

Ni Tu once repeatedly deduced the world map. Ni Tu felt that the unknown place where Faxian landed at that time should be the North American continent!

According to the "Records of the Kingdom of Buddha", Faxian was riding on a boat on the sea for more than a hundred days. With the fact that fresh water and supplies were almost exhausted, he arrived at a place called the Kingdom of Jetiva. He stayed there for five months before he was able to escape.

However, where is the Kingdom of Jetiva? There have been many debates.

But Ni Tu believed through deduction that the country of Jetiva is a small country on the American continent.

Based on this, Ni Tugan concluded that Faxian was the earliest discoverer in the Western Hemisphere and the first person to land on the North American continent.

Such determination still comes from scientific calculations.

The voyage from Sri Lanka to Guangzhou is more than 3,000 nautical miles. The voyage ships of the era in which Faxian can travel about 100 nautical miles a day. In other words, if you take a fast boat from Sri Lanka to Guangzhou, you will have to walk for 30 days. If you encounter the impact of a storm, you can reach Guangzhou at most fifty days.

Faxian and his party drifted on the sea for more than a hundred days, which only shows that the ship he was riding was severely staggered. According to the results of climate simulation calculations at that time, the ship was likely to deviate from the Balintang Strait under the action of storms and the currents from west to east, and drifted into the Pacific Ocean with the wind.

For more than a hundred days of drift, they were always sailing "the sea is deep and there are no stone pillars". "When the night is dark, they can only see big waves fighting each other, shaking with fire." This is clearly a luminous phenomenon caused by the Pacific deep sea fighting each other and stimulating each other.

When the ship approaches the land, you can see the "genus of the turtle turtle", including whales, sharks, dolphins, tortoiseshells and other alien marine organisms. Combined with the influence of factors such as Pacific currents, as well as the characteristics of the region they passed after the last departure, as well as the landing location of Faxian later crossed the ocean and suddenly appeared on the Qilu Peninsula, and it was the first land after the ocean. Ni Tu dared to conclude that the final arrival of Faxian's merchant ship can only be the American continent.

If you continue to cruise along the coastline of the Central Plains, you will not be able to see the edge of the mainland along the way.

The only possibility is that they crossed the Pacific Ocean and reached the other side of the Pacific Ocean - North America.

In later generations, Faxian's travels and narratives recorded in "Records of the Buddha's Kingdom" are all practical. Just like when I was traveling to Sri Lanka, which was known as the "Lion Kingdom", Ni Tu met Faxian as the first person in the Central Plains who climbed Shanghai Island and the first person in the East known to later generations with a name and surname.

What surprised and proud of Ni Tu was that "The Book of Buddha Kingdom" was regarded by Sri Lanka as one of the earliest historical books of the country, and it is the pride of all Sri Lankans, because through this book, Sri Lankans learned what the country looked like more than a thousand years ago.

Correspondingly, if Faxian's wandering in the "Yepati Kingdom" is well-reported, then the eminent monk of the Central Plains climbed the American continent more than a thousand years earlier than Italian Columbus.

Faxian was highly respected in Sri Lanka. He lived on Mount Holy Foot at that time. There was a cave on the way to Mount Holy Foot. It is said that Faxian lived for a while, and now this cave is called the "Faxian Cave".

Even Sri Lankan history books have described Faxian in detail. Faxian, Faxian cave, and Buddhism have become one of the important beliefs of Sri Lankans.

Oriental civilization is highly respected and shining brightly in foreign lands, but it should not be buried or even forgotten in the Central Plains.

The sixty directions of life are called a new beginning, and the floating sea and returning to the east will seek the true scriptures.

Such people who are full of positive energy and inspiration, and such people who have earned glorious reputations for the people of the Central Plains should be remembered by the world and future generations.
