Chapter 12 Successful Convergence

Under the cover of the brave Cyris, a group of prisoners fled in the jungle. Fortunately, both sailors mingled on the sea and experienced Rogue camp foresters could identify directions in the forest in the dark, and finally a group of people gathered at this agreed place. Except for the unlucky Rogue camp guard who was shot in the knee, he was now leaning against the innermost part of the cave with Mr. Sildo Roosevelt.
After a long intense exercise, everyone was hungry, but they were afraid of being discovered by orcs, so everyone forced themselves to stop making fire. Fortunately, there was a stream near the cave, and finally enough fresh water was replenished.
The sound suddenly came from the jungle made the highly alert human survivors subconsciously hold the weapons in their hands and look nervously at the direction where the sound came.
"Relax, my friends." Sir Gangze followed the white wolf, carrying the weak Xu Yichen, and slowly walked out of the shadow of the forest: "It's not the enemy."
"It's a Seris! He's still alive!" A sharp-eyed sailor followed the moonlight and saw Xu Yichen's face clearly.
"I knew that he didn't die so easily! It's so happy to see you again." Ted couldn't help but smash his fist to express his inner excitement.
Captain Rockefell also breathed a sigh of relief: "Blessed by the sea god, brave people can always create miracles!"
These people who were completely spared by Xu Yichen's own efforts put down their weapons, and their faces were full of admiration. They all celebrated their joy in their hearts in their own way. Even Sildo's brother who was accused of the knees and was shot out of the cave: "Great, you really did it! I've never seen a person like you, there's nothing you can't do!"
Xu Yichen waved to everyone, feeling that his efforts were not in vain, everyone was temporarily safe, and I couldn't help feeling satisfied. The NPCs in front of me were like real people, making people almost unable to tell the difference between the game world and the real world: "Don't worry, I'm far away from death!"
"Didn't I say I'll leave for an hour, don't delay, wait for the people behind? You stay here, what if the orcs arrive before me?" After a brief cheer, the crisis-ridden environment slowly restored people's calmness. Xu Yichen asked a question that puzzled him: "Why stay here?"
"Cough..." Ted looked at the captain, so the captain looked around the silent crowd around and said to Xu Yichen: "After we met in the evening, Ted's people climbed up on the tree to reconnaise the situation nearby. He found that black smoke was coming out in the direction of Roger's camp. After nightfall, the fire in that direction could already be seen on the top of the tree that had already reflected half of the sky red. We felt that Roger's camp might not be safe anymore."
"Yes, so we decided to wait here until morning to set off again, if..." Ted blushed and added the captain's words: "I mean, if you are still alive, you may come to us, and we can warn you that there is danger in Camp Roger, and we intend to go the other direction directly to the largest city in the northern part of mankind, Anthony Port."
"I knew you wouldn't die! They all said you were dead!" Ignoring the silent atmosphere around, Sildo came to Xu Yichen excitedly and said, his young eyes full of admiration: "I have seen you neatly killing orcs, and he is more happy than first mate Mike's drinking!"
Sildo's words made everyone present lower their heads in embarrassment. Ted's face turned red and he wanted to say something. Finally, he sighed when he reached his lips.
Captain Rockefell also clenched the corner of his clothes in shame: "Look, the brave Seris, we were all scared by the orcs. In that case, we all thought you would not have a chance to survive..."
"It's all over, Captain, I didn't expect that I would survive." Xu Yichen was very open about this kind of thing. As a player, for the sake of mission, life and death are the basic qualities: "If that wasn't this gentleman, Sir Gonze Aragon, and my current teacher, it would be difficult for me to meet you."
Following Xu Yichen's gaze, Captain Rockefell and Ted solemnly saluted the Demon Hunter: "Thank you for saving our hero, jazz, otherwise I would feel guilty for the rest of my life."
The demon hunter, who had been sitting at the entrance of the cave without making any noise, carries the claws of the long sword, caresses the white wolf lying beside him, and nods to everyone under the moonlight: "Demon Hunter, Gonze Aragon."
Obviously, Xu Yichen's teacher was not interested in having deeper communication with a group of ordinary people. After hearing the words of the Demon Hunter, the captain's face trembled significantly.
"We set off as soon as the sky is dawn, and I feel the danger is getting closer and closer." The demon hunter suddenly said, then whispered a few words to the white wolf. The white wolf stood up and disappeared alone in the shadow of the jungle, leaning against the wall of the cave, closed his eyes and rested.
After the embarrassment just now, the captain and the others no longer had the interest in chatting. After a whole day of thrilling, except for the people who were keeping the night watch, everyone seized the time to fall asleep. The cave gradually became quiet, leaving only the sound of rain outside, which sparsely contrasted the first night of Xu Yichen's game career.
While he was free, Xu Yichen checked his system page, and a lot of prompts followed.
"New background profession: witcher"
"In the ancient dark age, the wizards created demon hunters to fight against evil and monsters on the earth. It is not only a profession, but also a certain identity or race, because when the humans selected by fate complete the trial of demon hunters, their bodies are no longer the same. They are more agile and strong, immune to most diseases and toxins, and are more sensitive, and can detect small traces, smells and sounds.
He was selected since childhood, and has experienced life-threatening selection, ten years of rigorous training, and has never lived happily like a human in his life for hundreds of years. His mysterious whereabouts and his unscrupulous style have left behind countless legends of praise and criticism when he walks in the world. In recent hundreds of years, the traces of demon hunters have become increasingly rare, and some statements about demon hunters becoming extinct have begun to spread."
"Start now, every level you upgrade, you will get the following skill points: your intelligence attribute value *2+4* career level."
"Now start, you will get an experience penalty with a coefficient of 1.8."
"You cruelly killed all enemies who dared to stop you from advancing, and killed the boss of the Orc camp, Steel Tooth and Orc Mixed Ranger Glenn Westman, and eventually destroyed the entire Pioneer Camp, gaining a total of 3,960 combat experience. Your battle received the [Hero] evaluation. You will receive an additional combat experience bonus of 20% in the next battle. All surviving orcs will remember your cruelty, and the surviving humans will remember your courage. The Far South Colony is circulating in the story of slaughtering an orc camp on the first day you set foot on the Far South Colony."
