Chapter 355 Competition(1/2)

It’s about four o’clock in the afternoon.

The party is over.

Val left Luke's house in the old Chevrolet sedan.

In the car, the little fat man was sitting in the passenger seat, pouting and sullen, still looking glum.

Val glanced at him and said, "Come on, Jack, you are already a man, don't be so stingy.

How about we reconcile?”

The little fat man sighed, "I just feel sad that you forgot my middle name.

I must ask my mother why she gave me this middle name?"

Val is more than ten years younger than Linda. He was often disciplined by his sister when he was a child. He has some instinctive fear of Linda. "Hey, man, there is no need to do this. This is just a small thing."

When I was in school, I hated the crybaby who always came to my parents. I believe you are the same.

Let’s make peace, huh.”

The little fat man turned his head and still ignored him.

Val had no choice but to use money offensive, "Jack, I'm sorry, I can understand your feelings, if it were me, I might be very sad.

To make up for my mistake, I'm going to give you a gift.

Tell me, as long as it is within my ability, I will give it to you."

"Not everything can be solved with money." The little fat man shook his head and thought to himself, if I want a gift, why should I go home with you? As long as I stay at my brother's house for one night, I can get a lot from him with a little trick.

Pocket money.

"OK, then how can you forgive me."

"Do you really want to make up for it?"

"Yes."

"Then do one thing for me."

Val frowned, "What's the matter?"

"I haven't thought about it yet. I'll tell you when I think about it."

Val felt as if he had been on a pirate ship. Could it be that the little fat man was not angry, but was plotting against himself.

Val began to weigh the pros and cons.

This matter is big or small. If the little fat man really wants to complain to his sister, Val will inevitably be scolded by his sister and his father.

It's all that bad boy Luke's fault for getting himself into this predicament.

Val had a formal job during this period, and he finally changed his image in front of his father and sister. It felt great, and he didn't want to let them down because of this.

"OK, I promise you that I will do whatever I can for you." Val agreed after careful consideration.

Based on his understanding of the little fat man, he can't do anything big.

"Puff..."

Suddenly the car began to tremble and slowly stopped, and smoke began to appear from the front of the car.

“Fuck!

There's something wrong with this damn car again." Val knocked on the steering wheel in frustration.

The little fat man complained, "This car is older than me. I should have replaced it long ago."

"I want to change it too, but I don't have enough money. How about lending me your pocket money?"

The little fat man held his bag hard, "I think... it can still be repaired."

A few minutes later.

A Mercedes-Benz G500 drove over.

After sending Val and the little fat boy away, Luke had been cleaning the house, but before he could finish cleaning up, he received a call for help.

Luke parked the car on the right side and got out of the cab, "Why did the car break down?"

The front hood of the Chevrolet has been opened, and Val is lying on his stomach repairing the car. "It's an old problem. It can be fixed in ten minutes."

"Then why are you calling me?" Luke asked.

The little fat man urged, "Brother, take me home."

Luke said, "You can't even wait ten minutes?"

The little fat man rolled his eyes, "This car was smoking just now. I don't want to sit in a car that's about to explode."

Val said dissatisfied, "My car won't explode, it's just a minor problem."

The little fat man didn't buy it, "Then why does it smoke?"

Val put his hands on the car and said seriously, "Because you are too heavy."

Luke smiled, "Come on, there's no need to blame each other for such a trivial matter.

You are mentally drained and wasting your life, so relax."

Waldau, "If I were as rich as you, I would be lax too."

"I'll take Jack home first.

If you haven't fixed it by then, I'll come and help." Luke finished his sentence and called his brother to get in the car.

Val rubbed his cheek with his black hand, "I can definitely fix it, I have to."

After getting in the car, the little fat man glanced back worriedly, "He won't be killed."

Luke started the car and said, "No, he doesn't have much inheritance."

"Hehe." The little fat man smiled and looked back, "Isn't there something wrong with us just leaving like this?

Suddenly I felt...his back was a little desolate."

After sending the little fat man back, Luke returned to his home.

Halfway through, he saw Val still fixing the car with his butt stuck out. Luke stopped the car, walked over and asked, "How is the car?"

Val said helplessly, "The problem is a bit serious. There may be something wrong with the engine."

"Do you want my car to be towed to the repair shop?"

Val was a little hesitant. This car was more than 20 years old and had been passed through several hands. It often had minor problems. He usually repaired the car himself and it was too expensive to send it to a repair shop, so he couldn't bear to part with it.

But this time there was an engine problem, which was beyond Val's repair capabilities.

After much hesitation, Val followed Luke's suggestion and used Luke's car to tow the Chevrolet into a nearby garage.

The mechanic inspected the car and quoted a repair fee of US$1,200. This price exceeded Val's psychological expectations.

After thinking about it again, Val finally gave up on repairing it.

Because the garage is relatively close to Luke's home, the Chevrolet car was temporarily placed at Luke's home.

In the evening, Val invited Luke to dinner.

The two went to a nearby kebab shop.

Val picked up the beer, clinked glasses with Luke, and took a big sip, "Thank you for your hard work today."

"What are you going to do with that car?"

"I don't know... it's terrible." Val scratched his head with his right hand, "I have been driving this car for more than four years, and I know it is very old and not in very good condition.

I originally planned to make some money and exchange it for a second-hand car in better condition, but who knew it would just be sold out?"

Luke asked, "What kind of used car are you going to buy?"

"Buy a car with better performance. Of course it doesn't have to be too good. It's probably more than 10,000 US dollars."

"How much money have you saved now?"

"It should be three thousand dollars."

"You can get a loan."

“My credit is terrible, no bank is willing to lend me money, and even if I borrow money, the interest rate will be exorbitantly high.

I don’t know if I can afford it.”

Luke took a bite of the skewers and suggested, "I also want to buy a car recently, how about we pool our money and buy it together."

Val smiled, "Let's pool money together to buy a car. What car do you want to buy? Lamborghini?"

Do not make jokes."

Luke explained, "You should know that Pinkerton Detective Agency invited me to be a consultant some time ago, and I will occasionally guest star in detective work.
