Chapter 46 Guide

The Grand Duke did have a long arrangement. After receiving the letter from Elsa, he quickly learned about the help that cheese needed. At least, within his ability, the dwarf was not stingy with his kindness. Therefore, when Losa drove the carriage to the end of the furnace path, a bored figure had been waiting for a long time.

It was a young man with a darker skin than the Canglien, or it was not impossible to call him a boy. He was at most three years older than Ata. The boy was wearing a blue cotton suit, with patterned ribbons on his clothes, and a yellow-green rope tied around his waist. His hair was hidden in a hat decorated with feathers, with a slightly protruding cheekbones, which made his face look two obvious rosy. The boy was slung a quiver on his waist, revealing a feather from it, and the bow used to shoot archery was hung on his chest.

This is a typical nomadic male. As a military commander who has a lot of war experience with nomadic people, Lothar almost subconsciously stopped the carriage and placed his hand on the handle of the tomahawk. The nomadic people grew up on horseback. Their children learned to shoot arrows first and plunder first than walking. This understanding is of course prejudice, but it is the consensus of the Cangliu people to the residents of the grassland. In the wars between the two sides, there were many warriors who were about the same age as this boy or even younger.

"Chir!" The eagle's cry echoed in the air, and the black shadow passed over the count's head. The sharp eagle claw rubbed over the head made him almost fall from the carriage. The blue-gray wings closed above the grass and fell lightly on the boy's outstretched arm. You can see a thick leather protective gear specially tied there. Obviously, there is a kind of domestication relationship between the eagle and the grassland man. The boy took out a small piece of jerky from his pocket on his waist and stuffed it into the eagle's mouth on his arm and said happily, "Good job, no."

Losa gently tapped the wooden board behind her and reminded the people in the carriage that there was something wrong. Then he jumped out of the carriage, with his right hand behind him, and asked the boy, "Is that your eagle?"

The prairie man did not answer the count's question. He glanced at Lothar and a sarcastic smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. The person who dared to talk to the other party at such a distance on the prairie was undoubtedly a coward. But the boy's indifference did not last long. When Cheese and Ata walked out of the carriage, especially when the figure of the female swordsman appeared in his eyes, he took the initiative to come over.

"My name is Batu, I am the son of Bayar, the grandson of Bater, and from the Water Ling tribe." The boy who claimed to be Batu raised his chin and introduced himself to the three of them, but his height was really a little worse, so that his movement not only did not show the arrogance he should have, but instead made people feel a bit ridiculous.

Losa stood in front of the other two and tried to respond to each other, "My name is..."

Unexpectedly, Batu waved his hand directly and interrupted the count's words, "What's your name doesn't matter." He said, pointing at Lothar with his finger, "The coachman." Then he turned to cheese, "The Wizard." But when his finger was supposed to point to the female swordsman, his finger turned into a spread palm, and then his palm pressed on his chest wearing a cotton coat, "Your eyes are as beautiful as the stars in the sky, lady. I wonder if I can be lucky enough to get your name."

Losa wanted to go up and punch the kid, but his movements were stopped by the mage who was laughing. The three men turned their eyes to the swordsman, and they were all waiting for Ata to respond. Obviously, Ata was not happy with the arrogance Batu showed, so she cleared her throat a little, pointed at herself and said, "Guardian."

"Puff, hahaha." Cheese and Losa couldn't help laughing after seeing the boy's expression. Their laughter was so pleasant that even the eagle on the boy's arm tweeted. "Na Ren!" He angrily asked his partner to shut up, then glared at the other two fiercely, and then took out the knife from his waist.

"You have insulted me, and I ask to solve this problem with you in a man's way! When I defeat you, this woman will belong to me!"

Losa and Cheese looked at each other, and the mage took a polite move consciously, "In line with the principle of fairness, Mr. Losa, you should accept the challenge first."

The battle was decided within five moves. Batu's attack was not a threat to the count. This boy might be a powerful warrior in a few years, but he still lacks control over weapons and combat experience. After a brief temptation, Losa made a false move of tripping, and Batu attacked with all his strength. As a result, the count easily avoided it and kicked from behind his knees to kneel on the ground. The eagle on the arm of the grassland man was startled and wanted to protect his master, but the mage's fingers gently waved the cuffs of the robe, and a stone flew out of the forage, rubbed the eyes of the raptor, and flew past it, allowing him to fly into the air under the control of his terrifying instinct.

Losa grabbed the wrist of his knife from behind the kneeling boy. The powerful force made Batu let go of his hand and let the short knife fall to the ground without long struggle.

"First class, boy, don't challenge your opponent who doesn't know the depth at all." After saying that, the count let go of Batu's wrist and let the boy lie on the ground. The latter immediately picked up the knife he fell, but just when Lossa thought he was going to stab him with the knife, Batu cut the blade towards the finger of the left hand. Fortunately, the count's movement was much faster than him. Before the boy cut off his finger, he held the blade of the short knife and snatched it from Batu's hand. "What are you doing?"

"If you lose the duel, you have to pay the price. I still have a task and can't die, so I will pay you my finger first!" Batu's voice trembled when he said this, but his eyes told Losa that if he didn't stop it, the boy would definitely cut off his finger without hesitation.

"Save your fingers, and keep your other parts. I don't want our guide to bring blood all the way to the wolf pack on the grassland. This is the winner's order, and you have no right to refuse." After Lothar said that, he threw the short knife back to Batu. The count's face disappeared because this child reminded him of the madness of fearless death when nomads were enemies.

"Guide? Are you saying he is our guide?" Cheese asked, while paying attention to Batu with his light in case he continues to harm himself if he doesn't listen to advice.
