Chapter 36 Home

Jiang Chengmin put down the newspaper and looked at the door, "Shuqi is back. I'm tired today. I'll take a break and I'll have dinner right away."

Jiang Shuqi looked at Jiang Suhe who was kneeling quietly beside her, and a trace of reluctance flashed in her eyes, "Dad..."

"Come here to rest." Jiang Chengmin picked up the newspaper and did not look at the door again.

Jiang Suhe's mother Choi Jing-eun was coming out of the kitchen with vegetables. She was quietly listening to the movement outside the moment Jiang Suhe entered the door.

Choi Jingen saw Jiang Suhe who was incompatible with the warm atmosphere in the living room with his head down, and was very sad but a little complaining. In the end, she was soft-hearted and ready to call Jiang Suhe to sit for dinner. She was about to speak, but was interrupted by Jiang Chengmin's calm words.

"Come and have a meal, the food is about to be cold." Jiang Chengmin put down the newspaper, got up from the sofa, sat at the dining table.

But Jiang Suhe noticed that his father's legs seemed a little unstraight.

Cui Jingen sighed silently and walked in with the food.

The dining table was still as lively as before, and it was not different because of something strange at the door.

Jiang Shuqi complained about the hard work of the company, Jiang Chengmin expressed her opinions on the recent social news, and Choi Jingen listened quietly, picked up food for the father and daughter, and nodded from time to time to express her agreement.

But Jiang Shuqi glanced at the door from time to time, and the slight loneliness of Cui Jingen gave the meal a different atmosphere.

When Jiang Chengmin saw the mother and daughter who occasionally snorted, he snorted coldly, "Just eat when you eat, you always look at outsiders."

"dad"

"Old Jiang"

Jiang Chengmin's words seemed to make Jiang Shuqi and Choi Jingen feel heartbroken. They were afraid that Jiang Chengmin's words would hurt Jiang Suhe, and they were even more afraid that Jiang Suhe would leave again.

"What? I didn't let me say anything?" Jiang Chengmin dropped his chopsticks and walked into the study with a calm face.

After the door of the study room was closed, a voice came from inside, "Let him get out after eating."

Cui Jingen's face was happy and quickly called Jiang Suhe, who had been kneeling for almost an hour, to come for dinner.

"Mom" Jiang Suhe's expression was a little complicated, but he still didn't stand up, "You and Dad are old."

"It's not because of you, a stinky brat." Cui Jingen didn't give Jiang Suhe any good expression. Seeing him still kneeling, she walked towards Jiang Suhe with heartache and wanted to help him get up and have dinner.

"Mom, let me kneel down." Jiang Suhe gently pushed Cui Jingen away, "This will make me feel better."

"Do you know you regret it now?" Choi Jingen laughed instead and pointed Jiang Suhe's forehead.

"You feel proud of winning after helping those people get the lawsuit?" Cui Jingen took a small stool and sat in front of Jiang Suhe to explain it to him one by one.

"Actually, there will be a sense of accomplishment." Jiang Suhe whispered, "because at least he has not failed the profession of lawyers."

"Okay, I'm too lazy to care about these things with you, and I won't interfere with your professional view." Cui Jingen glared at Jiang Suhe with a disgust.

"What do you think if you don't go home for so long?"

"Mom, don't ask, believe me, give me some time, I will handle everything." Jiang Suhe shook his head, still not planning to tell his mother about him.

"A little time? How long?" Choi Jingen frowned, and the grayness on her temples was telling Jiang Suhe that she had been waiting for a long time.

"I can't say it's right. If it's fast, it's possible for another five years."

"Okay, then you can come directly to my and your dad's funeral." Cui Jingen said lightly after hearing the reply.

"Mom, what did you say?" Jiang Shuqi quickly came over and pulled Cui Jingen away, and then gave Jiang Suhe a fierce look.

Jiang Suhe had to remain silent obediently. He knew that some things must not be allowed to participate in relatives.

Jiang Suhe kept kneeling, his spine straight, and he never complained. As long as he was in this home, he could keep kneeling down.

Jiang Shuqi sat on the sofa watching TV, but seemed absent-minded. When she saw this brother who made her worry day and night again, she became speechless.

Talking about hatred is not a question, but talking about missing is more of resentment.

She was dissatisfied and complained that why Jiang Suhe could leave home without saying a word, but she and her parents could only stay at home and miss her and had nowhere to rely on. The only channels to get news from Jiang Suhe was negative news online.

Jiang Shuqi remembered the past when Jiang Suhe led her around and someone scolded him. He was always the first person to stand up to help him stand up. His parents scolded him, and Jiang Suhe always protected him behind him.

Thinking of this, Jiang Shuqi's heart was a little relaxed, but seeing her mother's loneliness and father's coldness, she cleared her unbearableness.

"Shuqi, it's getting late, let your brother go back." Cui Jingen patted Jiang Shuqi gently and entered the bedroom first.

Jiang Shuqi rubbed her face, cheered up her spirits, and walked towards Jiang Suhe.

"You should leave." Jiang Shuqi told Jiang Suhe calmly.

Jiang Suhe looked at Jiang Shuqi, who had become generous, nodded slightly, stood up and prepared to leave.

When he stood up, Jiang Suhe took a breath. His long kneeling made his calves and thighs very painful, and he was already a little unstable.

Jiang Shuqi, who was behind, saw Jiang Suhe in pain. She just stretched out her hand to help her, but thought of something and took back her hand. She bit her lip and looked at Jiang Suhe who was limping.

"It won't disappear this time, right?" Jiang Suhe heard a thick voice.

Jiang Chengmin came out of the study at some point and said loudly as he looked at Jiang Suhe's increasingly upright back.

Jiang Suhe turned around and saw that his hunched father's eyes were still as bright as a torch. He nodded to his father gently, "I will always be there."

After hearing the affirmative reply, Jiang Chengmin stretched his eyebrows a little, waved to Jiang Suhe and turned around, "Shuqi is going to see him off."

"Dad, no need, let Shiqi rest. She is tired enough to practice dancing today." Jiang Suhe quickly rejected his father's request.

When Jiang Chengmin heard the familiar title, his body trembled and walked slowly towards the study.

"Shuqi, this is my mobile phone number. Remember to tell me if you have any difficulties." Jiang Suhe took out a business card and handed it to Jiang Suqi.

"Who wants it?" Although Jiang Shuqi was very disgusted on the surface, she still took the business card and put it in her arms carefully. When she came to her senses, Jiang Suhe had already gotten off the elevator.

Jiang Shuqi locked the door and leaned against it, her heart was in a mess.

Jiang Suhe went downstairs and looked at the familiar children running and jumping in the community, the young couple slid around the dog, and the old men and women gathered in a group of chatting, and were in a very comfortable mood.

“It’s great to have a home feeling.”
