Chapter 24 Discuss the Tao with the Son, Heaven, Earth and Stars(1/2)

There is a mountain behind the academy, and there is a snow peak on the top of the mountain.

Except for the Master, no one has been to the top of the snow peak, because the Master said that there is a forbidden area in life. Even if you can go up, you may not be able to come down.

Because of this, the rules of the academy are that without the invitation of the master, students in the academy are not allowed to go up the mountain to disturb the tranquility of the master.

Even a group of gentlemen rarely go to the mountains.

As far as Da Qin is concerned, there are not many stories about the Master spread in the world, and even the teachers in the academy have never seen the Master doing anything with anyone.

Precisely because no one dared to challenge Master, Master was the biggest legend in the imperial city.

Those who are good at talking are quick to think, and those who are good at fighting are quick to act. Master does not need to fight with others. As long as he stands there, no one dares to look directly into his eyes that stare into An Ran.

Because it is so calm, it seems that the eyes can penetrate everything in the world. You don't need to say what is in your heart, Master can know everything you hide in your heart.

Li Xiuyuan did not bring two plates of beef, so the master had to stop and said, "I'm not having a good time drinking today."

After thinking silently for a while, Li Xiuyuan smiled: "If Master drinks to his heart's content, who should I ask?"

The Master shook his head: "You don't have a jar of wine to get me drunk."

Li Xiuyuan packed up the dishes and chopsticks that were served on the table, wiped the tabletop, went outside the door to get some snow water, and prepared to light a fire to boil water for tea.

He looked at the master who was leaning on the back of the chair and smiled: "I don't have many gold coins, the most important thing is wine."

Watching Li Xiuyuan start to boil water and make tea, the Master sat quietly in the chair and closed his eyes silently.

After a while, he asked leisurely: "Don't you want to know who you met on the mountain road?"

Just this sentence made the cabin suddenly quiet. He took out the fire sticks and lit the small stove on the table. Li Xiuyuan shook his head and said with a smile: "Maybe he will tell me when he comes back to buy wine next time?"

The Master slowly opened his eyes, looked at him with some surprise, and said, "He is Young Master Su."

There was a buzzing sound, and stars flashed in front of Li Xiuyuan's eyes, thinking that such a thing could happen to him.

Thinking of Zhang Liang's miserable appearance outside the Prime Minister's Mansion last winter, I couldn't help but smile bitterly.

He replied: "Sure enough, the person is not as good as new, and the clothes are not as good as before. I wonder if Zhang Liang will cry and drink three bowls of wine when he finds out."

The master frowned slightly, shook his head and said, "If he can't pass this hurdle, you might as well find a random woman in the imperial city to marry him, and stop practicing in the future."

Li Xiuyuan, however, disagreed and said with a smile: "The so-called sweetheart is on the other side of the river. Zhang Liang is only interested in love and not polite. It can be regarded as a training on the road of life."

He had experienced this himself, but he was still young at that time and didn't know what love was, so he was only focused on cultivation.

Not to mention that he still has a husband by his side, so why would he care that Dongfang Yu'er's mother has canceled her marriage?

If it were now, I'm afraid he would have had the same reaction as Zhang Liang.

Li Xiuyuan's eyes were very calm, which surprised the Master. He was speechless for a moment.

At the moment, the master is just guessing in his heart, after all, the news of assassinating Qin has not been sent back to the imperial city.

Li Xiuyuan even pretended not to know anything. How could he discuss these things that were against etiquette and law with the Master?

Thinking about it, he was not too shocked. The master might have wanted to use the girl from the Prime Minister's Mansion to sharpen Zhang Liang's mind, and then use his own hands to send him to the path of cultivation.

For Master and Li Xiuyuan, it was just a small matter.

It is said that for people in the world, embarking on the path of spiritual practice is a legend after all. Even the Master cannot make Zhang Liang gather Qi to the third level in one night.

But to Li Xiuyuan, it was a trivial matter.

As a result, the two of them no longer struggled with Zhang Liang's matter.

Perhaps from Master's point of view, this guy would have to go back to the academy sooner or later. After returning to the academy, he would know everything by picking up his ears.

Li Xiuyuan also waved his hand and forgot about the unhappiness at the bottom of the mountain and the sigh of meeting Miss Xiangfu in the mountain.

He looked at the Master and asked seriously: "Excuse me, Master, what kind of person can be considered a gentleman?"

The Master said: "The way of a gentleman is three, I am incompetent. A benevolent man does not worry, a knowledgeable man does not be confused, a brave man does not fear."

Thinking about Lu Yuan chasing after him today and not letting go, Li Xiuyuan couldn't help but ask: "What is the difference between a gentleman and a villain?"

The master nodded and replied: "A gentleman is known as righteousness, and a villain is known as benefit."

Li Xiuyuan couldn't help laughing when he heard this: "Thinking about it this way, I can be considered a villain. After all, I cheated Lu Yuan of five gold coins and gave it to Xiao Hei, which is an unkind act."

The Master was silent for a moment and then said: "If you say so, wouldn't there be a gentleman in this world? Don't go after the bull's horns in everything, think about what I said before."

Li Xiuyuan shook his head and said with a wry smile: "In my opinion, there must always be a standard for everything."

The master looked at the wine shop owner who was making tea by himself, and saw the persistence under his calm face. Thinking of the poem Li Xiuyuan wrote by the lake, he suddenly smiled.

"Of course there are standards." The Master smiled and said: "A gentleman takes righteousness as a pledge, practices etiquette as a pledge, follows the example as a disciple, and fulfills it as a letter. What a gentleman!"

When Li Xiuyuan thought about it, this was also true. If you behave with etiquette in everything, you will naturally be polite and polite.

After thinking for a while, he asked again: "Do you believe in a gentleman?"

After speaking, he poured the master a cup of the brewed spiritual tea, then he held the cup in front of him and blew gently.

The master picked up the spiritual tea, thought for a while and replied: "A gentleman's name must be something to be said, and his words must be practical. A gentleman is not strict about his words."

Li Xiuyuan was startled when he heard this, then smiled lightly and said: "What a man who keeps his word, I have learned from you."

After taking a sip of the spiritual tea, the master's eyes became brighter and brighter, and he did not mind a thick smile overflowing the corners of his mouth. This wine should only be found in heaven, and only tea has never been smelled in the world.

After drinking half a cup of spiritual tea, the Master sighed: "A gentleman has three warnings: when he is young, his blood energy is not yet stable, and the warning is in appearance; when he is strong, his blood energy is strong, and his warning is in fighting; when he is old, his blood energy is weakened,

The key to warning is gaining."

"A gentleman has three fears: fear of destiny, fear of great men, and fear of the words of saints."

"A gentleman has nine thoughts: to see wisely, to listen wisely, to look warmly, to look respectful, to speak loyally, to act respectfully, to think doubtful, to think angry, to think difficult, and to think righteousness."

At this point, a cup of spiritual tea had already melted in his mouth, leaving a fragrant aroma in his mouth. The master smiled with satisfaction as he felt the sweetness in his throat.

He said quietly: "If you do this, in my opinion, you are not far from the right path."

"A saint is also a human being first." Li Xiuyuan murmured in response: "The way of a saint is that our nature is self-sufficient, and it is a mistake to look to it for reasoning about things."

The Master said, "I am not yet a saint."

Li Xiuyuan nodded, thinking about what the master said before, and his thoughts were mixed for a while.

Some of the truths that I had just figured out before seemed to become blurry again. Thinking about some of the truths in heaven and earth that I had thought about along the way, I couldn't help but sigh again and again.

Because even though he already knew some things, he still didn't dare to say them to the Master. Even a single word would destroy the tranquility of this side of heaven.

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but murmur to myself: "The way of a saint is to work without fighting, to obey nature and obey orders. What if one day, Master will face the choice between Tao and Dharma?"

After a moment of silence, the Master asked: "What is Tao and what is Dharma?"

Li Xiuyuan thought for a while and said with a wry smile: "I secretly believe that Master's Confucianism is Tao and King Qin's policy of governing the country is law."

After pausing for a moment, Li Xiuyuan thought again and again and said: "If one day, it seems to King Qin that Master's Tao affects the implementation of the law..."

"Or some self-righteous gentlemen and scholars among the scholars distorted the Confucianism of the Master and put pressure on the king in the name of Confucianism and Taoism. When the king did not like it, how did the Master deal with himself?"

Li Xiuyuan didn't want to say more, and didn't dare to say it.

But he believed that the master understood what he meant. After all, in his opinion, it was impossible for a mere academy to go against the imperial power.

After all, most of the dignitaries and young ladies in the imperial city are studying in academies. How could they rebel against themselves?

He just said this to remind Master not to let the wind and rain in the world get his clothes wet.

After all, in his opinion, neither the Master nor the mysterious old man in Zhang Liang's house would stop in this world in the future.

Since we have to leave, why should we care about the wind and rain in this world?

The master was silent for a long time this time. Only when the spiritual tea in his hand became cold did he sigh softly.

He said quietly: "If that day really comes, even the academy can only obey God's will and teach the children of the academy according to the king's consciousness."

Li Xiuyuan laughed lightly when he heard this.

Looking at Master, he smiled and said softly: "I once studied Buddhism. Maybe Buddhism in Da Qin has not yet flourished, but I can discuss it with Master."

The master was overjoyed when he heard this. He put his hands on his hands and said with a smile, "Come and listen."

Li Xiuyuan served the Master some hot tea and continued: "Let me give you an analogy. Let me compare Master's Confucianism to Taoism and Buddhism to practice."

There are three thousand avenues, and Buddhism has eighty-four thousand Dharma doors.

The Buddha said that there are 2,100 infinite degrees in total, and there are four kinds of sentient beings: greed, lust, anger, ignorance, and delusion. Each of them can achieve enlightenment through the 2,100 infinite degrees.

The eight thousand and four hundred degrees of Wuji are combined, and one becomes ten, resulting in the Eighty Four Thousand Degrees of Wuji method.

This method is the supreme good medicine in the three realms and can eliminate 84,000 worldly toils for hundreds of thousands of people.

The Buddha said that the eighty-four thousand Dharma doors can cure eighty-four thousand afflictions, save the infinite, and save the endless flow of life and death.

The Tao and the Dharma can only exist between heaven and earth. If the three thousand Tao exists in the human heart and in temples, then it will take decades, hundreds of years, or even tens of millions of years.

Will future generations have deviations in their practice? Just as there is a saying in Buddhism: "It cannot be explained." The same is true for Tao.

If the Tao can be passed down, will it happen that if the Master’s Tao is ten, I will learn eight or nine, pass it on to Xiao Hei’s seven or eight, and Xiao Hei will pass it on to the next four or five people?

I think that the Tao is invisible and can only be understood between heaven and earth, but cannot be passed down orally between masters and disciples. Otherwise, wouldn't it mean that the Tao becomes thinner and thinner as it is spread, and the road becomes narrower and narrower?

Therefore, I think that the Tao destroyed by the kings of all ages is really destroyed?
