Chapter 187 About releasing and killing, re-entering Nirvana(1/2)

Upon hearing this, Shuzi couldn't help but frown, thought for a moment and said, "Eat, wash the pot when you're full, and then I'll ask my elder brother about serious matters later while making tea."

Li Xiuyuan thought for a while, looked at Xiaohu and replied: "Remember, only eat when you eat in the future."

Xiaohu nodded, took another piece of fish from the pot, thought for a while and replied, "I'll tell you the story later."

It wasn't until Shuzi and Xiaohu went to wash the dishes together that Shuzi tugged at the corners of his sleeves and asked quietly: "Are you afraid that your eldest brother will get confused again, so you want to make up a story?"

Xiaohu shook his head and said: "No, I had almost forgotten this story, but I suddenly remembered it when I was eating fish just now, because the master didn't understand this either."

Shuzi fetched a bucket of water and said with a smile: "So you want to embarrass big brother?"

"Sir is much better than the master. This is what the master said."

Xiaohu finished washing the dishes, stood up, helped Shuzi pick up the bucket, and walked back, saying at the same time: "Because Xiaohu also wants to know the final truth of this story."

Shuzi said thoughtfully: "Then tell my elder brother."

When the three of them were sitting at the table, guarding a pot of spiritual tea, Xiaohu looked at the two people in front of him and finally slowly revealed the story that the old man told him.

"This is a story about releasing and killing animals..." Xiaohu took a sip of spiritual tea and said seriously.

It is said that a long time ago, there was a businessman who converted to Buddhism and vowed to free one hundred thousand lives.

So he used the money he earned from his business to preach the truth to his friends and relatives, so that more people could join him in the charity of releasing animals.

They went to the market to buy the fish from the vendors, and took them to the river in a horse-drawn carriage to prepare for release.

To this end, we specially went to the temple to invite monks to chant sutras and pray for the released fish, hoping that they would return to a free world.

However, because their ceremonial guard was so large, it alarmed countless people and more curious people.

When the people who got the news came to the river and saw the monk chanting sutras for the fish with a compassionate look on his face, they all looked around for fishing tools.

Finally, after the monk finished reciting the sutra, the businessman who made a great wish began to release the animals with a group of relatives and friends.

The fishes left their previous cages one after another, wanting to embrace the free world and start their new lives.

Unfortunately, when they did not swim twenty feet away, they were caught hundreds of times by hundreds of bad guys guarding the river bank and greedy people.

The businessman saw something bad and immediately shouted to stop these fishing people.

However, the fishing crowd only has fish in their eyes, so how can they pay attention to the mercy of businessmen?

Some people even laughed at him and said: "The fish sold in the market are just waiting for us to buy them and eat them home."

"Yes, since you have put them into the river, they no longer belong to you."

"Oh, please go further, you are blocking my way, I want to fish."

The businessman was very sad, so he returned to the temple to ask the monk who chanted sutras for Yu'er why the world only saw killing and did not know how to let go.

The monk showed compassion on his face and looked at the businessman speechless for a long time.

I don't know how much time passed before he sighed and said, "I'm not a Bodhisattva yet, so I can't answer your question. I hope you can tell me this truth one day."

The businessman was very depressed when he heard this. Later he bought fish several times and released them, but he still couldn't stop those greedy people.

Finally, one day the businessman stopped releasing animals...

Hearing this, Shuzi couldn't help but ask: "If he doesn't let go, what will he do?"

Xiaohu sighed and said with a wry smile: "Master said that the businessman would no longer eat meat or kill animals."

Shuzi sighed: "Those people are so bad. The businessmen here spent money to release animals. They can't wait to kill them."

Xiaohu shook his head and said softly: "Later, the businessman said that since I am not a Bodhisattva yet and cannot save sentient beings, then I will be selfish and save myself first."

Having said this, Xiaohu looked at Li Xiuyuan and asked: "Sir, the master said that he had been thinking about it for hundreds of years and still didn't understand this truth. He told me about it one day when we were fishing by Tianhu Lake."

When Li Xiuyuan heard this, he was also stunned and speechless.

The story Xiaohu told is a truth that he has been thinking hard about since he came down from the Tianshan Mountains but couldn't figure it out.

For this reason, he did not hesitate to enter the demonic realm under the bamboo peaks of the Xuanwu Continent, if it were not for the fact that he later washed away his cultivation on the Wanli River Styx.

I'm afraid he is still struggling on the edge between Buddha and demon.

Just like when he was at the foot of Luoxia Mountain, in order to protect the villagers of Shura Village, he killed thousands of enemies in a rage and let the defenders of Tianfeng City become fertilizer on the mountain.

He asked himself, at that moment he was already possessed by a demon.

Later, he was thinking hard and found an excuse for himself to check his mood.

The old Taoist priest never corrected him because he wanted his disciples to walk their own path.

Li Xiuyuan's principle of looking at his mood is to protect the weak and not be afraid of the powerful. He even passed this idea on to Xiao Hei and Xiao Hu.

Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan could only look at Xiaohu and smile bitterly: "I'm not a Bodhisattva either. I'm afraid I can't answer your question."

The expression on Xiaohu's face became more and more nervous, and he murmured: "Master said that you should be able to solve this confusion for Xiaohu."

Li Xiuyuan said angrily: "Don't mention that master of yours. He has come to torture me again with things that he himself cannot understand."

Shuzi said worriedly at the side: "Brother, if Xiaohu doesn't understand this truth, will he become a demon in the future?"

Shuzi understood the reason why Xiaohu asked this, because when Xiaohu was the Khan King, his hands must have been stained with blood. If you don't understand the reason...

How will you face your inner demons when you go through tribulation in the future?

Li Xiuyuan looked at the expectant eyes of the two people, and his mood suddenly became heavy.

After thinking about it, he said: "To put it another way, the Buddha said that everyone in the world has Buddha nature, and everyone can become a Buddha. As long as you put down the butcher knife, you can become a Buddha immediately."

Xiaohu nodded and said, "Xiaohu heard this from the great monk in the grotto."

Li Xiuyuan sighed and continued: "So, in the past thousands of years, how many people have really put down their butcher knives? How many people have become Buddhas?"

At this moment, even Shuzi was stunned.

Xiaohu was also like her. The two siblings looked at Li Xiuyuan and were speechless.

"Buddha talks about greed, anger and ignorance. Is gluttony greedy? People in the world will catch the fish released by the businessman and kill them..."

"Let's talk about the butcher in the market. If you ask him to put down the butcher's knife, he will tell you that if he puts down the butcher's knife, the whole family will starve, and you won't know what to eat tomorrow?"

"As for the king and emperor, if you ask him to put down his butcher knife, they will tell you that armies from other countries may invade the dynasty soon, and he will face the danger of national subjugation..."

These principles are all problems that Li Xiuyuan has experienced before but is unwilling to face.

Now he spread it out in front of the two of them, it was like using a knife to cut his previous wound open again, and exposing it to the sun gave him a stinging feeling.

Shuzi nodded and replied thoughtfully: "So, the businessman finally chose to cross himself."

Li Xiuyuan smiled bitterly and said: "Since he can't make others put down the butcher knife in their hands, he can only cut the knife in his own heart first to save himself a way out."

Xiaohu scratched his head and shook his head: "Sir, what you said is so profound? Xiaohu couldn't understand it at the moment."

Li Xiuyuan served the two people some spiritual tea, looked at Xiaohu and said, "Before I can't answer this question clearly for you, first think about what you were practicing for when you met me!" When Xiaohu heard this, he came immediately.

Spirit, smiled and said: "At that time, Xiaohu wanted to become stronger and protect his mother from being bullied by bad people."

"This is your original intention. You must stick to the original intention you promised back then... Even if your mother is gone, you can imagine Sister Shuzi as your mother..."

Li Xiuyuan couldn't find a more appropriate explanation for the moment, so he had to compare Shuzi to the Yan family, hoping that Xiaohu could understand what his original intention was.

When Xiaohu heard this, he immediately looked at Shuzi and grinned.

Shuzi patted his head gently and said with a smile: "You are the only one who has many things to do. Come to think of it, the little tiger in the academy was cuter and didn't talk much."

Li Xiuyuan shook his head and said softly: "The fact that Xiaohu asked such a question means that he has been thinking about this matter all these years. This is a good thing."

After drinking three courses of tea, Li Xiuyuan waved his hand and said: "You two go and play by yourselves. I want to think about this truth seriously and I will tell you after I understand it."

The old Taoist priest and the old monk were not here, so Li Xiuyuan had no one to turn to and could only turn to himself.

Xiaohu nodded and said, "I'm causing trouble for you, sir."

Shuzi took Xiaohu's hand and said, "Go out for a walk, don't affect your elder brother's practice here."

After the two of them came out of the cave, Li Xiuyuan, who had washed himself, returned to his stone platform and sat down, looking at the scriptures on the stone wall, wrinkled tightly.

?browed.

He whispered in his mouth: "But for the good deeds I have done in the Dharma, no matter how small a hair, a grain, a grain of sand, a grain of dust, or even a hair, I will gradually get rid of it and gain great benefits. I only hope that the World Honored One will not worry about the evil deeds of sentient beings in the future."

.”

In an instant, Li Xiuyuan seemed to be a fish bought and released by the businessman, struggling and jumping in the basin.

However, the moment he rushed out of the wooden basin was the moment the businessman dumped the fish in the basin and released it.

He saw people laughing not far away, and they had already set up a net, waiting for him to dive into it.

Li Xiuyuan, who transformed into a fish, asked himself blankly: "Do I want to be the Bodhisattva with low eyebrows, or the Vajra with angry eyes?"

As soon as he sounded, the thousands of Buddhist scriptures on the stone wall turned into fish, either black or white, and rushed towards Li Xiuyuan one after another.

Li Xiuyuan, who gained enlightenment in the grottoes of the Qin Empire and broke through the realm of the formless golden body, once again ushered in his longest period of enlightenment and practice.

Countless Buddhist scriptures turned into yin and yang fish, tightly wrapping Li Xiuyuan who fell down on the stone platform.

In just a moment, Li Xiuyuan, who had fallen down on the stone platform, transformed into a black and white silkworm cocoon. From a distance, it looked like two fish entwined together.

A ray of skylight fell from the hole in the stone wall, shining quietly on Pisces.
