26 Design direction of deep-sea mecha

Lin Guoxiang took Lin Feng to the design team office and introduced Lin Feng in front of all the design experts.

1. Space confining.

The mecha is a machine composed of a pile of steel and electronic components. In the deep sea, the most important thing is to prevent seawater penetration. This is different from submarines and ships, because the contact surface between mechas and seawater is more complex, completely different from the smooth design of the bottom of the ship and the contact surface of the submarine.

In the past, mecha combat was only in shallow sea areas. As long as the lower body of the mecha was not leaking, it was a little insufficient for the weapon seepage design.

For example, if the mechas such as [Thick Soil] are soaked in the sea water, can they still launch missiles?

I am afraid that when the missile muzzle is opened, the sea water will seep in.

The muzzles of those mechas are just covered with a simple iron shell, which is used for accidental water seepage, and it is impossible to fire in the water.

So the designer changed to a torpedo launcher in this regard.

2. The sea water pressure is strong.

In the deep sea, the second problem is the pressure problem, but this problem can be completely solved with super alloy, which is nothing more than thickening the mecha shell.

So the designers designed the deep-sea mecha in response to these two points, but it sounds simple, but it is a bit difficult to design.

But no matter how you design, you can't transcend these two points.

The designers were very dissatisfied with Lin Feng’s questioning.

"Shouldn't the deep-sea mecha be designed like this?"

"It shouldn't be." Lin Feng decisively denied it. Then he asked:

"Do you know how fish in the deep sea swim?"

Everyone was confused, "What does the relationship between mechas and fish? Mechas are so heavy that they cannot swim."

After all, the mecha uses a simulation system. If it is designed as a bio-imitation mecha, can't the driver lie on the ground and crawl on his way?

"Maybe you think this is designing a submarine instead of a mecha, but do submarines have hands and feet? Are there mechas so flexible?"

"We should define the appearance of the mecha from the perspective of marine biology."

Some designers still questioned. "The deep-sea mecha can't be designed to look like a big fish monster, so the driver is not suitable for the operation at all."
