Chapter 170 The Dark Lord ends(1/2)

Hogwarts Magic Academy is located in the Gothic style of Hogwarts Castle in Scotland, England. Its exact location cannot be determined because it cannot be mapped here. Similarly, most magic schools are kept secret, which can ensure that their secrets are not known to outsiders, and at the same time, protect students and schools themselves from external infringement.

Children with magical abilities are registered at birth and will receive an admission letter from the owl at the age of 11.

Hogwarts College is divided into four colleges, namely Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. All four colleges have their own colors and animals. After entering the school, the first thing a freshman is to wear a branch hat to branch the school. The branch hat will judge which school you should belong to based on your personality and qualities.

Hogwarts is a full-time boarding school located next to a black lake in Scotland, England.

In the castle, there is a wide meadow outside the castle, with flower beds and vegetable gardens. There is a black lake next to the castle, a dense forbidden forest, several greenhouses and some other outbuildings, and there are also owl sheds, where students and schools owned owls live. In addition, there is a standard Quidditch Stadium.

The three tallest towers in Hogwarts Castle are the Astronomical Tower, Lavenclauta and Gryffindor Tower. There are 142 steps in the castle, some of which are wide and large, some are narrow and small, and shaking; some lead to different places every Friday; some go up to halfway, and one step will suddenly disappear, so remember where you should jump over. In addition, there are many doors here, and there are many portraits and photos hanging on the walls. The characters in the portraits on the door serve as guards.

If you ask them to open them without politely or poke them exactly to the point, they will not open the door for you; and some doors are not real doors at all, just a solid wall that seems to be a door. It is not easy to remember what is in the place, everything in the castle is "constantly moving", including all the stairs and steps. Former principal Albus Dumbledore once said that even himself did not know all the secrets of Hogwarts Castle, because the castle has a long history.

All wizards cannot move the phantom in Hogwarts. They can only use a flying broom or a flying powder, or take a Knight bus or a phantom to move to a location near the school, and then walk to the school. When the school starts, students in Hogwarts need to take the Hogwarts express train to reach Hogsmead Station. The freshmen can go through the lake to Hogwarts by boating according to the four founders a thousand years ago, and the old students can go to Hogwarts by taking the carriage pulled by the Eternal Paradise to reach the school.

The expulsion spell prevents Muggles from getting close to here. They cannot see the school, but only see a pile of dilapidated ruins, and a sign that says "Dangerous, no entry, unsafe" at the entrance. Muggles' electronic instruments and equipment cannot be used in Hogwarts because the surroundings of Hogwarts are filled with strong magical magnetic fields, which will cause strong interference to electronic devices, except for radio equipment, because the radio equipment used in the magic world is not activated by electricity, but is based on magic.

Students who have excellent performance or contributions at school may not only win points for their colleges, but may also receive the "Special Contribution Award". Tom Riddle, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley have all won this award. On the contrary, if they violate school rules, they will not only be deducted points, but may also be detained; there are many forms of confinement, such as: cleaning without magic, or assisting the hunting ground guard Ruber Hager to patrol the Forbidden Forest.

Hogwarts Academy was founded around 990 AD. The founders were the four greatest wizards of the time: Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Royna Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff. The four academies of the school were named after them. They set up schools and stayed away from the peering eyes of Muggles, because in that era, the Muggles were afraid of magic and many male and female wizards were persecuted. Each of them had their own personality and showed it when selecting students. But slowly, there was a difference between them. Salazar Slytherin and three others on the issue of bloodline.

There was a disagreement. Salazar Slytherin only wanted to recruit students of pure blood. Soon after, Salazar Slytherin and Godric Gryffindor had a fierce quarrel over this issue, and then Salazar Slytherin left the school. Before leaving school, Salazar Slytherin built a secret room in the castle, and the other founders knew nothing about it. Salazar Slytherin closed the secret room until his true heir came to the school. Only the heir could open the secret room, release the horror things inside, let it "purify" the school, and remove all those who are not worthy of learning magic (Muggle-born wizards).

About three hundred years after the school was founded, the Triumph began between the three most prestigious magic schools in Europe: the Hogwarts Magic School, the Busbaton Magic School and the Demstrong Magic School. This competition was considered the best way for wizards of different nationalities to communicate and discuss with each other. The competition lasted for six centuries, and later, due to the high death toll, the competition was interrupted.

In 1942, the secret room was first opened by Tom Riddle. He was the heir of Salazar Slytherin and the future Voldemort. After the secret room was opened, a girl named Myrtle was killed by a monster in the secret room, and the Ministry of Magic threatened to close the school. Tom Riddle was afraid that he would return to the Muggle orphanage from then on, so he blamed the eight-eyed giant spider Aragork raised by third-grade students Ruber Hager and Ruber Hager, which led to the expulsion of Ruber Hager. Tom Riddle also won the school's special contribution award.

In 1991, because the safety of the Philosopher's Stone hidden in the 713 vault of Gringott was threatened, the principal Albus Dumbledore transferred the Philosopher's Stone to the secret room below the right corridor on the fourth floor of Hogwarts, and set up defense mechanisms with other teachers. However, the then black magic defense teacher Quirinas Quirrell (who has become a black wizard and possessed by Voldemort) still broke through all the defensive mechanisms set by other teachers and was blocked by

In front of the Eris Mirror set up by Albus Dumbledore himself. First-year student Harry Potter worked with two friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger to travel through many institutions. Harry Potter fought with Quirinas Quirrell and guarded the Philosopher's Stone, but he almost died. Later, Albus Dumbledore arrived and saved Harry Potter. The Philosopher's Stone was destroyed according to the wishes of Albus Dumbledore and Nicole Lemay.

In 1992, under the influence of Tom Riddle's diary, Ginny Weasley was bewildered by Tom Riddle's memory. The secret room was opened for the second time by Ginny Weasley. The monsters in the secret room attacked and petrified four Muggle-born students, Gryffindor ghost "Nick who almost lost his head" and the cat Mrs. Loris, the squib administrator Argus Felch. It turned out that Lucius Malfoy secretly placed Tom Riddle's diary in her transformation textbook to frame her

The father Arthur Weasley vetoed the Muggle Protection Act introduced by Arthur Weasley. However, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley discovered the truth. Harry Potter destroyed the diary, killed the basil monster in the secret room, and rescued Ginny Weasley who was controlled by Tom Riddle's memory. With the help of school doctor Mrs. Poby Pomfrey and herbalist teacher Professor Pomona Sprout, all the people, ghosts and animals that were petrified by the basil monster were successfully rescued.

In 1993, because the Ministry of Magic believed that Sirius Black escaped from the wizard prison, Azkaban was to sneak into Hogwarts to kill Harry Potter, so he sent a large number of dementors to Hogwarts, and Hogwarts itself also strengthened various security measures. But Sirius Black still sneaked in (because Sirius Black was Animagus) and hid in Hogsmeade's screaming shack. Later, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, along with the then professor of black magic defense, Remus Lupin (werewolf), discovered that Sirius Black was innocent, and the leaker who really betrayed Harry Potter's parents was Petr (Animagus), Harry Potter and others caught the mouse-spotted Dwarf.

Peter, but it happened to be the night of the full moon. Remus Lupin transformed into a werewolf, and Petdwarf Peter took the opportunity to escape. Later, after the Potions Professor Severus Snape woke up, he transported Harry Potter and three others and Sirius Black back to the castle, preparing to hand over Sirius Black to the dementors for a "kiss". However, the principal Professor Albus Dumbledore believed the words of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, and let the two go back to the past through the time converter, saving the execution of the eagle-headed horse-body winged beast Buckbeck. Then Harry Potter used the escort to expel a large number of dementors, saved himself, and rode on Buckbeck with Hermione Granger, rescued Sirius Black, and let him escape on Buckbeck.

In 1994, the Triple Triumph was resumed, with several additional safety measures added. The most important one was that students under the age of 17 were not allowed to participate. However, Barty Crouch, a Jr., disguised himself as Alastor Moody, a professor of black magic defense at the time, and stuffed the real Alastor Moody into his own suitcase. Barty Crouch used a confusion spell to confuse the Goblet of Fire, threw Harry Potter's name into the Goblet of Fire, and made him selected by the Goblet of Fire. As a result, Harry Potter became the fourth contestant, facing the hatred of the students of Boothbaton Magic School, Demstrong Magic School and many Hogwarts students. Barty Crouch used various means to help Harry Potter win the game, and finally won the Top Three.

The cup turned into a door key, which made Harry Potter and another warrior, Cedric Diggory, sent to Voldemort as soon as he touched the trophy. Cedric Diggory was brutally killed by Petr, and Voldemort successfully used Harry Potter's blood to make a special potion to restore his body. After a fierce battle, Harry Potter brought Cedric Diggory's body back to Hogwarts School. Seeing this, Barty Crouch Jr. intended to kill Harry Potter, but was knocked unconscious by Albus Dumbledore. Harry Potter's statement and Barty Crouch Jr.'s confession made Albus Dumbledore learn about Voldemort's successful recovery of body, but the Minister of Magic Connelly Fogg refused to believe it, which led to Albus Dumbledore breaking with Connelly Fogg.

In 1995, the Ministry of Magic began to slander and discredit Albus Dumbledore Dolores Umbridge, the new teacher of black magic defense, which was the center of this plan. According to the Ministry of Magic's instructions, Dolores Umbridge refused to teach students the content of defense talismans in the teaching of black magic defense, and deliberately punished Harry Potter. Under the planning of Hermione Granger, Harry Potter established the Dumbledore Army (D.A.) and led some students to learn the defensive talismans that were prohibited by the Ministry of Magic. Under a series of educational orders, Dolores Umbridge became a senior investigator of Hogwarts and slowly took over the Hogwarts School.

All matters. Due to the betrayal of D.A.'s internal members, Dolores Umbridge captured D.A.'s leader Harry Potter, and Albus Dumbledore took the blame for Harry Potter and fled Hogwarts. The Ministry of Magic wanted Albus Dumbledore, and Dolores Umbridge replaced Albus Dumbledore as principal (but was not recognized by the school, resulting in Dolores Umbridge being unable to enter the principal's office). Later, she was attacked and captured by the Horsemen in the Forbidden Forest. After the Battle of the Department of Mysterious Affairs, the Minister of Magic Connelly Foggy accepted the fact that Voldemort was back, Dolores Umbridge was suspended and Albus Dumbledore was responsible for principal.

In 1996, the situation in the magic world was very serious. Voldemort's Death Eaters were openly engaged in activities, murder, disappearance and destruction. Several Death Eaters entered the school under the arrangement of Draco Malfoy, a sixth-year student in Hogwarts, and attacked students and teachers. Principal Albus Dumbledore was killed by Severus Snape (Severus Snape followed Albus Dumbledore's instructions). For safety reasons, the school was in danger of being closed.

In 1997, Severus Snape became the principal according to Voldemort's instructions, and the school continued to teach.

Regardless of the decision made by the school board, since Voldemort took over the Ministry of Magic, all teenage wizards must enter Hogwarts to study. At the same time, the school requires students to provide proof of their wizard lineage, indicating that they have proved their wizard lineage to the Ministry of Magic before they can be allowed to enter school. In this way, Voldemort can put all wizards under his surveillance since childhood, and at the same time eliminate Muggle-born people, including eleven-year-old children who did not know they were wizards before they received the notice. They may never see Hogwarts, or even their families.

Muggle Research has become a compulsory course, mainly about how Muggles are mean and bad. The Dark Magic Defense has become a naked Dark Magic class, requiring students to learn to use illegal curses. Severus Snape was appointed principal, while Alector and Amikus Carlo became teachers of Muggle Research and the Dark Magic class respectively, and also became Snape's vice-principal. This was a period of terrifying times, and no one was sure to say who was a friend and who was an enemy. The Dark Magic Defense Teacher was replaced by Amikus Carlo, and the Muggle Research Teacher was replaced by Alector Carlo (both were Voldemort designated Death Eaters). Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Ge

Ranger and the other two trudged school to find and destroy Voldemort's Horcrux. Later, Harry Potter returned to Hogwarts to find and destroy the remaining Horcrux. After Voldemort learned about it, he led all the Death Eaters and Giants to come. Harry Potter led teachers, students, the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore's army and others to resist. In May 1998, the Battle of Hogwarts broke out. Severus Snape was killed by Voldemort due to the belonging of the old wand (Severus Snape was actually a spy of the Order of the Phoenix, who played for Albus Dumbledore, but Voldemort didn't know this). Harry Potter destroyed all Horcrux, killed Voldemort in the final duel, and led everyone to victory in the Battle of Hogwarts.

The dawn of peace finally came, Professor Minerva McGonagall took over as principal, and Harry Potter became a post-war hero. During the battle, Hogwarts Castle was severely damaged. The absconded dark wizard Death Eaters are still at large, and the work of fighting against the remnants and clearing the magic world is still very difficult.

Hogwarts was restored after the war, but had already reopened in 2017. Minerva McGonagall was the principal, and the school's four academies still existed, and many of the children of previous students also began to attend Hogwarts. After retiring from the position of Auror, Neville Longbottom became the school's herbalism professor, and many children with magical talents were also recruited into the hospital.

Compulsory courses

Potions: Learn to make magical mixtures. To make potions correctly, you must mix ingredients correctly, stir as required, and grasp the right time and temperature.

History of Magic: Learning about the history of the magical world. Including: Fairy Rebellion, Giant War, the origin of the International Secretariat Law, etc.

Astronomy: The subjects are exactly the same as those in the Muggle World. Astronomy is taught at the Astronomical Tower, which is the tallest tower in Hogwarts Castle. The course includes: Observing the night sky with telescopes. The astronomy class is held every week at midnight, while first-year students take this class on Wednesday. What students need to learn includes: the names of planets, stars and constellations, as well as their locations, orbits and environments. Observing the orientations of planets and stars, motion trajectories and the effects between stars.

Herbalism: Learn about magical plants and learn how to care for, use them, and prevent them from being hurt. This course is conducted in a greenhouse outside Hogwarts Castle.

Spell class: Learn the functions and methods of using some common spells. The spell class is notoriously noisy and chaotic because this class requires a lot of practice and practice. The spell class classroom is located on the third floor of Hogwarts Castle.

Dark Magic Defense: Subject to learn defensive magic and protect yourself from damage to black magic and dark creatures.

Transformation: Transformation is a magic branch that changes the shape or appearance of an object, and this is also what this course introduces. Transformation is a theory-based subject, and the mantras taught include: transformation mantras (to transform part of the object, such as making people grow rabbit ears), disappearance mantras (to make the object disappear completely), and summon mantras (to make the object produce out of thin air). Such mantras can turn an inanimate object into a living object, and vice versa.

Limited compulsory courses

Flying class: a compulsory course for first-year students. Start with how to pick up a flying broom and learn the most basic flying broom flying skills. The school provides more than 20 old flying brooms. The quality of these brooms is not ideal. Some will tremble when flying too high, while others will always tilt slightly to the left.

Phantom Transfer Training Class: Phantom Transfer is a way to travel long distances in the magic world. Students in sixth or seventh grade can choose to take this course. In the magic world, using Phantom Transfer requires permission, and only wizards over seventeen years of age are allowed to move phantom. The reason for this restriction is that there are certain dangers in Phantom Transfer: Inattention may cause a part of the body to stay in place, causing side effects called splits. As Hermione Granger mentioned many times, magic on Hogwarts Castle and surrounding grounds will prevent people from moving phantoms near the castle. Of course, this restriction is sometimes lifted so that students can practice Phantom Transfer in the school auditorium.

Elective courses

Divination lesson: Divination is a magic branch used to predict the future. Divination has many methods and means, including: tea, flame omen, crystal balls, palmistry, card divination (including: interpreting traditional playing cards and tarot cards), astrology and dream interpretation.

Arithmetic Divination Course: A subject that studies the properties of digital magic. There is not much information about this course. However, arithmetic Divination is Hermione Granger’s favorite class. Arithmetic Divination is very difficult to learn because it requires memorization or the use of a large number of charts.

The course for protecting magical creatures: A course that guides students how to take care of magical creatures. This course is conducted outside the castle. Learn the appearance, personality and living habits of various magical creatures (such as: Flober caterpillars, eagle-headed and horse-body winged beasts, and frying tail snails).

Ancient Rune Research: Teaching students the translation of ancient Rune and the cracking of Nordic characters, involving the use of ancient magic spells and mental power.

Muggle Research: Study Muggle courses from the "wizard's perspective". The purpose of male and female witches to understand Muggle's methods of acting is to ensure that they can be integrated when needed (for example: during the 1994 Quidditch World Cup). This course mainly learns about the social form, lifestyle, and attitudes toward Muggle. It also learns how to communicate with Muggle correctly. (When Severus Snape was the principal, due to Voldemort's power, the Muggle Research course was changed to learn about the despicable aspects of Muggle and how to torture Muggle).

N.E.W.Ts Improvement Class

The fifth grade O.W.Ls exam will examine all compulsory courses and elective courses selected by the students (at least two). Only those who have achieved the requirements of the teacher or above can enter the N.E.W.Ts improvement class (most teachers have the requirements of "good", but Professor Severus Snape insists that the potion class must be "excellent").

After the O.W.Ls exam is over, the owl will mail the test results to the students in July of the same year. According to the test results, at the beginning of the new semester, the students will discuss the course selection with the dean. The course selection must meet the scores required by the teacher, and must also integrate their employment ideals (students will receive employment guidance in the second semester of the fifth grade to understand the courses they need to learn). After the course selection is over, the students will receive a new course schedule to participate in the N.E.W.Ts improvement class.

Admission Requirements

Children over 11 years old.

It is neither male nor female, no origin, nor bloodline.

With magical talent. Every child with magical talent will be automatically included in the Hogwarts admission list as soon as he is born in the UK. When the children are 11 years old, they will receive an admission notice from the owl (including admission notice, book list and required items list)

If you don't want to enroll, you can stay at home. (In "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", during the period when Voldemort was in power, the Ministry of Magic forced the children of wizards to be taught by Hogwarts and only students of wizard blood.)

Branch ceremony

The branch ceremony is the annual Hogwarts ceremony, which is held at the beginning of each school year. The purpose of this ceremony is to assign first-year freshmen to the school’s four academies: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. After all freshmen cross the lake to the school, they will first come to the auditorium to attend the ceremony, followed by a school banquet.

The branch hat is placed on a stool in front of the auditorium. It can sing a song first, and the content is

Sorting hat

Its own origin, the characteristics that the founders of the school and the different colleges value. The songs sung by the school are different every year. When it is found that it is necessary, the school hat will also warn students (it can be speculated that the school hat will get some information from the principal's office). After that, the freshmen will call them one by one in the alphabet of their names and sit down and wear the school hat. The school hat will determine which college the wearer is most suitable for and shout out its decision in the auditorium. The school hat will be considered as the final result, but its decision can be influenced by the wearer's wishes, and the school hat will consider the wearer's ideas.

Final exam

Students only receive the final exam once a year, and if they pass the exam, they can advance to the next grade.

Qualification criteria:

O    =Outstanding    Outstanding

E     =Exceeds   Expectations(good)

A        Acceptable(pass)

(If the score is below A, it is considered unqualified)

P     =Poor    Poor(poor)

D     =Oops   Dreadful(very bad)

T     =It's bad    Troll(extremely bad)

Students from first to fourth grade and sixth grade must study all compulsory subjects. The final exam score is above the qualification before the course can enter the next academic year, otherwise the make-up exam will be taken or even residized.

Fifth grade students must undergo the "Ordinary Wizarding Level" (Ordinary Wizarding) exam; while seventh grade graduates can choose to take the "Ultimate Wizarding" (N.E.W.Ts) - Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests, which may be interpreted by students, but their actual description will be unknown) exams, and those who pass the exam can graduate.

Halloween

Every Halloween, in addition to carefully decorating the auditorium in Hogwarts, there will be grand banquets to celebrate the festival. And coincidentally, in the book, almost every major event happens during Halloween.

Christmas

Students can choose to go home. Students who choose to stay in school can attend grand Christmas banquets, but when there are too few students on campus, they have the opportunity to attend small dinners for faculty and staff. In the auditorium, teachers decorate the Christmas tree for this occasion.

When the Christmas holiday is over, the new semester begins.

Visit Hogsmeade

On weekends during school, students in grade 3 and above with guardians signing and agreeing can visit Hogsmeade, where there are all kinds of strange magic shops, bars, post offices, stationery shops, and cafes. Students can buy a lot of interesting food and joke products and play happily all day long.

Quidditch Cup

Quidditch match between four academies.

The season starts from November to April of the following year. The four academies fight each other, and the college with the highest accumulated points will win the Quidditch Cup.

College Cup

During the student's study at Hogwarts, every outstanding performance will win his college scores; on the contrary, every violation will cause the college to be deducted points. At the end of the school year, the college with the highest score will win the College Cup, and the president will announce the ownership of the College Cup at the end of the year.

Gryffindor College has won the Academy Cup for four consecutive years since Harry Potter arrived.
