Chapter 1 The Ruins in the Snowstorm

"Welcome, all survivors from Blue Sea Star.

"First of all, please allow me to introduce myself. You can think of me as your god, your master, or... you can call me: Warden.

"I believe you all know that your home planet has fallen into the Imaginary Hole and been completely destroyed. Fortunately, you were chosen by me and brought to this new world that is still in the wilderness.

"For your own safety, please remember the following rules:

"1. You will initially have your own home. There will be a fire in your home, which is the basis of your survival. Please never let it go out.

"2. You will have an initial house in your home, and there will be some food in it that I will give you. You can take it by yourself.

"3. Occasionally, wandering merchants will come to your home. Buy various supplies from the merchants, which will be of great help to your survival."

"The novice tutorial is over, please explore all other information about this world on your own.

“Here, disasters will follow us everywhere, and crises will be everywhere.

"It is to give up completely and go with the flow, just to have enough to eat and drink, and to be at ease...

"Or are you struggling to survive in this hellish world to gain a chance of survival and eventually become the overlord of the continent?

"Please do your best to bring me a wonderful show on this unpredictable stage of destiny.

"Finally, welcome to my—

"Survival Paradise!"

Lu Ning opened his eyes in confusion, and a cold wind accompanied by fine snowflakes swept into his shirt, jolting him and completely waking him up.

"Is this...finally 'landing'?"

Blue Starfish was destroyed two months ago, and humans were transferred to this new world by an unknown being who called himself "The Warden".

However, for some unknown reason, others arrived in the new world as early as two months ago, but their consciousness was "stuck" in the process, hanging in the sky for a full 60 days.

He watched many survivors die quickly, and many survivors struggled to survive, collecting materials, building houses, planting fields...

Then this lush green land with a pleasant climate was instantly covered by a sudden cold disaster.

Large tracts of plants died, everything was buried in the heavy snow, and there were no survivors.

It has been going on for a month now.

Lu Ning shivered and climbed up from the cold, hard ground.

Wherever you look, you can hear howling cold, freezing wind and snow, and rolling white peaks.

Lu Ning was on the highest cliff in this mountain range.

The scenery looked beautiful - but then a biting cold wind quickly stopped Lu Ning from looking at the scenery.

There is a small dilapidated house standing in the open space. This is a building that exists at the beginning of every survivor's home.

Lu Ning stepped on the snow and pushed open the door.

Called it a house, I really admired this dilapidated house.

The walls of this shabby house are entirely made of rotten wood. Although there are no windows except for a rickety wooden door, the dilapidation of its walls is basically in an extremely narrow state.

The light and wind and snow swept into the house without any hindrance.

The roof is a frame made of several long logs, with a thin layer of straw spread on top. When the wind blows, it is swaying and lifted up, and from time to time, a pile of snow will fall down.

Not to mention blocking the wind, this piece of crap will collapse even if you blow on it.

The whole thing is a ruined work of art.

If Du Fu had lived here, he would probably have been able to compose three hundred poems on the spot.

There was a small campfire in the center of the broken house - but when Lu Ning came to the campfire, his heart felt as cold as his body.

The campfire has been completely extinguished.

Not a single spark.

A cold wind wrapped in huge snowflakes blew in the face without any obstruction from the gap in the wall. Lu Ning was wearing only a shirt, and the hair on his body stood upright due to the cold air.

The current temperature feels like minus 20 degrees Celsius, and the sky is full of wind and snow.

This is already quite a low temperature. In the original Blue Starfish, minus 20 degrees was already lower than the average winter temperature in the Northeast.

This is a low temperature that turns water into ice and can break iron plates.

Before he came to this world, autumn had just begun where he was, and he was wearing a shirt at this time, which could not stop the cold wind mixed with ice crystals from scratching his skin like a knife.

Although it had not been long since he woke up, Lu Ning's body was already a little stiff, his face was red and purple, and his ears had lost feeling, as if they were not his own.

The old man often said that in the coldest winter, your ears could freeze off. Lu Ning didn't believe it at first, but today he felt what it felt like.

Lu Ning exhaled a mouthful of white mist and wrapped his shirt tightly, but he still couldn't resist the continued loss of body temperature.

"Huh... don't be anxious. The more times like this, the more you need to calm down."

Lu Ning crossed his arms and shook like chaff, his mind racing rapidly.

"This house can't block the wind at all, and the campfire has been completely extinguished probably because I arrived two months late... What should I do? How can I rekindle the campfire in this case?

"Is it necessary to drill wood to make fire... But I haven't even watched the video on the Internet before, I only know a rough operation..."

Lu Ning knew that his probability of success was low, but he had no choice but to try first.

"The ignition material can be thatched from the broken house."

The broken house was not very high, so Lu Ning stepped on his feet and reached out to pull down a bundle of hay from the roof.

"The wooden trough can be made of rotten wood from the wall."

Lu Ning gritted his teeth and used all his strength to break off a grooved piece of wood.

"The last thing is the drill..."

Lu Ning braved the cold wind and came to a dead tree that was frozen to death not far away and broke off a branch.

He carried these things back to the campfire in the broken house, tore up the hay, stuffed it into the wooden trough, pointed the dead branches at the wooden trough, and rubbed it back and forth quickly with his hands.

Time passed little by little, but there was not even a trace of fireworks appearing in the wooden trough.

The skin on Lu Ning's hands and feet cracked in the cold wind, and there was a faint warmth in the pain.

He knew that this was not an improvement of the situation, but rather a worsening.

The feeling of heat is actually an illusion caused by the open wound in the cold wind.

If this continues, he may not last more than half an hour.

In other words, death is imminent.

Affected by the long-term low temperature, Lu Ning's thinking has become somewhat sluggish, and the movements of his hands have become stiff, relying entirely on inertia to continue.

Lu Ning's physical strength was rapidly drained along with his body temperature. His thoughts and senses gradually became erratic. The cold and pain, as well as the sound of the howling wind, seemed to be gradually getting away. This was a precursor to losing consciousness.

However, at this moment, blurry images suddenly flashed through his mind.

They were several broken scenes, lacking color, unable to see things clearly, and the field of vision was extremely confusing, and it did not seem to be his first perspective.

"what?"

Lu Ning's nerves tightened instantly, and a severe pain arose out of nowhere and spread to his brain.

Lu Ning wailed, holding his head and falling down, causing a shower of flying snowflakes.
