Chapter 9 His Acquiescence

Qiao Ange was a poor student, and her college entrance examination scores were not worth mentioning. It was Yuan Yutang who relied on many connections to get her into the Capital Normal University.

But her absence from school is her own business and does not bother others.

The only thing she regretted was that she hurt Pei Yi's eye.

"Hate." Pei Yi only uttered this word, and there was no emotion in his tone.

Qiao Ange nodded: "Well, it should be."

Why should I forgive so easily for a lifetime?

Pei Yi once said that he would make her life worse than death. If it was only to this extent, he would be considered kind.

Qiao Ange was lying on the sofa, with the lights on and the TV on, muted.

She knew that Pei Yi would not be able to sleep if he heard any sound.

"Qiao Ange," Pei Yi's muffled voice came, "turn off the fan, it's noisy."

Qiao Ange raised his head and glanced at the fan. There was only a little wind noise, but he could hear it?

Although he didn't want to, Qiao Ange still got up and turned off the fan.

Summer nights are not cool at all and are even hotter than during the day.

The only source of wind was gone, and Qiao Ange felt heat waves rushing towards her in waves, and the living room immediately turned into a big steamer.

She stepped to the bedroom door and asked softly: "It's too hot outside. Can I open this door and get some cool air?"

Pei Yi didn't know whether he was asleep or didn't hear anything, so he didn't say anything.

He didn't speak, so Qiao Ange took it as his acquiescence.

She gently opened the door halfway, and the cool breeze inside instantly came out.

Comfortable.

In the morning, Qiao Ange got up half an hour early and went out to buy soy milk and steamed dumplings for Pei Yi. She remembered that Pei Yi only ate from that store.

She bought two portions and originally planned to eat them with him at home before going to work.

Just after washing my hands, I heard my cell phone ringing.

Xiaolu sent a WeChat message saying, Sister Qiao, come quickly, something big has happened!

He didn't say anything, but this exclamation point made Qiao Ange feel that it was definitely not an ordinary thing.

"Pei Yi, I bought you breakfast. Do you want to get up and eat it now?"

"Let it go." Pei Yi's voice was a little hoarse.

"Then don't wait too long. Your stomach will hurt when it's cold. I'll go to work first." Qiao Ange waited for a while and left without hearing Pei Yi's response.

The roller shutter at the entrance of the store was half-opened. As soon as Qiao Ange entered, he saw the waiters and chefs in the hall, some standing and some sitting, all whispering something.

When Xiaolu saw her, she immediately came over, pulled her aside, covered her hands with her hands and whispered in her ear: "I found a condom out of the porridge in the staff meal. It's still used."

Seeing Xiaolu frowning in disgust, Qiao Ange also felt sick to his stomach: "Who saw it first?"

"Feifei was the first to serve the rice. The little girl didn't know what it was, so she picked it up and asked, and only the kitchen staff saw it."

Qiao Ange glanced at Feifei sitting inside from a distance. It was probably that no one had told her what it was, so her eyes were just blank.

Qiao Ange went to the kitchen. The chefs on the stove were all there, as were the ones on duty.

Old Liu's face was extremely ugly.

Qiao Ange also guessed that someone was making a fuss about Lao Liu and Chang Li.

"Master Liu, it's half past eight. Do you think... we should redo the staff meal first?" Qiao Ange asked tentatively.

Logically speaking, this is a matter for the chef, and it is not her turn to express her opinion.

But we can’t let so many people go to work without eating.
