Chapter 247 Meeting an Old Man(1/2)

Since the completion of Dyson Ball and the artificial sun, as the earth's climate returns to its previous warm and pleasant period, Dark River Company has also transformed from ice and snow into a vibrant and lush land.

The earth has revived, and flowers, plants and trees are competing for beauty in the warm sunshine, and all things are in spring.

The night is quiet and long, and the Dark River Company ushered in its dazzling and fascinating night. The lighted and glazed building, the confusing neon lights, and the dazzling street scenes seem to indicate that the vitality Dark River Company has returned.

In the garden villa on the roof of René, the spacious and bright hall is bright and magnificent. A long square table is placed in the middle of the hall. The square table is covered with white and elegant tablecloths, with fine wine and delicacies on it.

There are fresh and silky steamed snails, long black truffles in the mouth, crispy and delicious red wine stewed chicken, and fragrant fried foie gras...

René and Masako sat opposite the table, enjoying this delicious delicacy that was given to the heavens.

René poured a glass of wine, and as the red wine stirred up on the wall of the cup, the whole hall was filled with a mellow fragrance.

He raised his glass to look at Masako and drank it. In a blink of an eye, he drank three cups.

"Do you like these dishes?" René waved gently.

"I like it." Masako whispered.

"Do you know, these dishes are Jenny's favorite food."

"But I'm not Jenny!"

René's wine glass stopped in the air, and he stared at Masako for a long time, with a serious expression.

After a while, he smiled bitterly, then raised his neck and drank the wine in the cup.

"Do you know why I'm going to treat you tonight?" he said, smashing the wine glass hard on the table.

"have no idea."

"You should know."

Masako picked up a glass of wine and put it into her mouth in one breath. A sneer flashed across the corner of her mouth: "Kill me, the last supper?"

"You're only half of it."

Masako straightened her body and showed a fearless expression: "I don't want to guess anymore, just say it."

"The last supper between us."

"Then what?"

"And you'll be sent out of the Dark River Company."

"Haha..." Masako smiled, with questions in her eyebrows. She took a sip of wine and asked, "Why don't you kill me?"

René smiled indifferently, poured himself a glass of wine, and sipped deeply, and then said slowly: "I will not kill someone who is exactly the same as Jenny's words, deeds, behaviors, and looks."

"Just because I am similar to her, don't you kill me?"

"Yes! I chose to let you go."

"If I tell you that all this was deliberately imitating Jenny and pretending to show you, would you still stick to your choice?"

"I insist." René's expression resolutely, "No matter what purpose you are for, I will stick to my choice."

He sipped another sip of wine and said, "In fact, I knew it very early on that your purpose of imitating Jenny's behavior and appearance."

"Then why not expose me?"

"You are exposed and my Jenny disappears."

"Are you cheating and numbing yourself?"

"Haha..." René smiled, and he waved his hand and signaled her to say while eating.

She inserted a small piece of truffle and put it into her mouth gracefully, closed her eyes, and carefully savored the thrill of the taste buds brought by the exquisite food.

"It's so similar, it's exactly the same." He sighed.

"What do you think?" she asked with her eyes open.

"It looks like Jenny's actions and expressions, and it looks so vivid." He said, staring at her tightly, and fell into intoxication...

After a while, he raised his hand, "It is you who deceived and paralyzed, not me, because you have unconsciously integrated everything about Jenny into all your actions."

"But I'm me after all, Masako Yamaguchi, isn't it?"

René smiled bitterly and shook his head: "If I just have a look and behavior that looks like Jenny, but let me choose to get along with you and choose to believe that you are Jenny's reflection, then you will underestimate me too much."

"What's that point that makes you think I'm Jenny's map?"

"Thought!" he replied without hesitation, "Before, we had collisions of thoughts and resonances with our hearts."

"Did you watch Ultraman fight the little monsters by the beach?"

"That time was just the beginning, and there were many more times." His eyes looked into the distance, as if he was savoring the beautiful past. After a moment, he withdrew his eyes, "Being with you makes me invisibly think that Jenny is in front of me."

"Since I think I'm Jenny, why do you want to let me go?"

"Because Jenny is dead, I should wake up."

The hall was in silence, and only the melodious melody was rippling lightly...

The two of them focused and closed their eyes at the same time, listening quietly to the sound of nature under the moonlight. The sound seemed like a gurgling spring, clear and pleasant.

It took René a long time to slowly open his eyes from the gentle melody, and he picked up the wine glass and drank it all with Masako.

Finally, he said happily: "I am very grateful to Renault, thanking him for allowing me to reunite with Jenny in reality again. Although he has a strong purpose, and although this Jenny is not the real Jenny, it still brings me a lot of memories and endless hope."

"How do you thank him?" Masako asked curiously.

"Thank you very much like thanking you!"

After René finished speaking, a cold light shot out from his eyes, which pierced Masako's heart, making her suspicious.

In a greasy repair shop, a man in a jeans lying under the car, constantly knocking on the chassis of the car with the small hammer in his hand.

After confirming that there was no problem, he got out of the car and wiped his face with oil. At this moment, his face became even more colorful. He didn't care about anything. He dragged a disabled leg and limped towards a customer-like person.

He explained the situation of the vehicle to the customer, then handed the car key to the customer, who waved at him with satisfaction and drove away.

The man sat heavily on a recliner. After relaxing, he picked up a towel and carefully wiped his face. The oil on his face was wiped clean, and a weathered but resolute and serious face was exposed.

He is Alexander Renault.

Since being framed by Holmes, Renault has stepped down from his post in the F State Intelligence Agency. After that, he joined a mercenary, injured his leg in a battle and lost his disability.

After he recovered, he returned to his hometown to open a car repair shop. Although he had a hard time working and a meager income, he was still a place to settle down.

"Bang!" A crisp horn sounded across the door of the repair shop. Renault looked in the sound and saw a luxury car parked there. After a while, a group of bodyguards in black got out of the car. One of the bodyguards opened the car door, and a man wearing a hat and dressed in a brightly dressed man walked out of the car.

The visitor took off his hat and showed his thin and angular face. The visitor was René.

René looked away at the repair shop. After a moment, his eyes froze. He and Renault's eyes met. The two looked at each other for a long time, silent and speechless.

After looking at each other for a few minutes, Renault got up and slowly walked towards René with his disabled leg, and René also walked towards him in time.

The two sat down at a table made of scrap tires and wooden boards, and a woman brought two cups of coffee, one to René and the other to Renault.

René looked up at the woman. She was in her 30s. Under her beautiful face was a face that was invaded by time. The wrinkles were like cracked ground.

"My wife, Anna." Renault said with his head down.

René nodded politely to Anna, she forced a smile and turned and left.

The two of them stirred their coffee, still speechless.

Both of them seemed to have thousands of words, but they didn't know where to start, but they just lowered their heads silently, stirring the coffee that had been overflowing...

It took René a long time to put down the cup and look at Renault, but he was reluctant to speak but stopped.

"I'm surprised, right?" Renault asked after taking a sip of coffee.

René squeezed a smile from the corner of his mouth, looked around his eyes, and finally landed on Renault's disabled leg, and said sadly: "You would rather join the mercenary and lose one leg than work with me. I want to know why?"

Renault smiled indifferently: "You betray your ideals and betray your own country. I don't want to be with such people!"

"You guys forced me all this!"

"No one forces you, everything is your own choice."

"Hmph!" René sneered, his eyes stern and fierce, "If you didn't force Jenny to death, maybe I am still a young man who is determined to serve the country and a respected scientist!"

"Jenny broke the law and she had to die! Besides, no one forced her to death, she was all blamed!"

The atmosphere in the repair shop suddenly became tense, and the two looked at each other with angry eyes and refused to give in.

A burst of laughter broke through the tense silence, and René laughed... After laughing, his fierce expression restrained a lot. He looked at Renault and stared at him quietly...

After a moment, he took a sip of coffee and said, "The past cannot be changed. No matter who is wrong, it cannot make up for the fact that I lost Jenny, but there is one thing I have to thank you."

"Thank me?" Renault said in surprise.

"Yes, it was you who made me meet Jenny again. Although she was not the real Jenny, she spent many unforgettable times with me and recalled many wonderful past events with Jenny."

He slowed down and continued, "Although I tried to turn her into the real Jenny, I had no success. Maybe it was God's will. God is reminding me that Jenny is dead. She is my only one, and no one can replace her!"

"You are talking about Masako Yamaguchi?"

René nodded: "She is the real reason why I looked for you today."

"Where is she now?"
