Chapter 36 The Best Arrangement(1/2)
Chapter 36 The best arrangement
Zhang Zihan was sitting on the sofa, looking at his mother making porridge in the kitchen. He felt really uncomfortable, as if he was being watched.
"Mom, how long are you going to stay here? Hurry up and go back to take care of your old man!" Zhang Zihan said.
"You don't care, if you have time to sit here, why not go see how Xiao Xi is doing now." Xu Weilin raised her eyes to look at him, then lowered her head to look at the porridge in the pot.
"Okay, okay," he stood up depressedly and walked to Bai Xi's room.
Bai Xi, who was lying on the bed, was motionless, breathing slightly, and his brows were sometimes furrowed and sometimes relaxed, which made Zhang Zihan couldn't help but laugh.
"When will you take the initiative to talk to me about the things you did in the Ming Dynasty?" He gently touched her face with his hand and looked at her with ambiguous eyes.
"Well" Bai Xi moved his head and made a slight sound.
He was so frightened that he immediately retracted his hand, "Bai Xi? Are you awake?"
But she didn't respond again. She must have been dreaming, so he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Wipe off Xiao Xi's sweat!" Xu Weilin called from the kitchen into the room.
He took a hot towel and wiped the sweat off her forehead and hands just like Xu Weilin did.
"Why did you suddenly become ill?" Zhang Zihan asked himself while wiping, "I was fine when I came back."
"Yeah" Bai Xi responded to him again in his dream.
"What are you dreaming about?" Zhang Zihan became curious and said to himself, "Did you dream about your brother?"
"Brother" Bai Xi suddenly called softly.
Zhang Zihan was very surprised when he heard this. He knew clearly that the "brother" was calling him, not the elder brother. This proved that Bai Xi took him to heart.
"Here!" He responded to her happily.
Then Bai Xi stopped making any sound.
"Really." Zhang Zihan shook his head and smiled, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking at her.
"Your phone keeps ringing." Xu Weilin shouted into the room again.
Before he left, he touched Bai Xi's forehead again to see if it was still as hot as before, and then went to answer the phone.
Xu Weilin was in the kitchen, looking at him like that, and for some reason she frowned unconsciously.
"Hey, Wu Qing, what's up?" While he answered, he looked at his phone and found that there were several missed calls from Wu Qing.
"Where are you now?" Wu Qing's voice was noisier, and it should be on the road.
"At home, Bai Xi is sick."
"Ah? It's not serious, is it?"
"It's just a normal fever."
"I bought some clothes for her. Let's go to your place and take a look at her."
"I'm going to pick you up. Where are you?"
"No, it's just near your house. I can walk there quickly."
"Then you have to be careful." Zhang Zihan said.
After he hung up the phone, he lay on the sofa and looked at the ceiling.
"Wu Qing?" Xu Weilin asked.
"Um."
"Are you dating now?"
"That's right." Zhang Zihan crossed his fingers on his stomach.
"What does it mean? If it is, it is, if it is not, it is not."
"That's right." Xu Weilin found his answer strange.
"Wu Qing is a good girl, don't let her down."
"Hmm!!!" Zhang Zihan responded slightly.
I closed my eyes and took a rest.
Xu Weilin, who was in the kitchen, took out a bowl of porridge from the pot and walked into the room to look at Bai Xi.
Seeing that she was still asleep and showed no sign of waking up, he went to call her.
"Xiao Xi, Xiao Xi" she called her softly while sitting on the edge of the bed.
Bai Xi frowned, tried hard to open her eyelids, and called her weakly, "Mom."
"How do you feel now? Can you sit up? Do you have the appetite to drink porridge?" Xu Weilin asked worriedly.
"Um!"
Xu Weilin supported her and asked her to sit up slowly.
"I'll bring you the porridge, don't get out of bed." She gently stroked Bai Xi's head and said with a smile.
"Thank you!" She was in a daze. She probably hadn't been sick for a long time.
"Silly boy, what are you grateful for?" Xu Weilin pursed her lips and smiled, then walked outside.
As soon as I came out, I heard the doorbell.
She glanced at Zhang Zihan lying on the sofa again, shook her head in disgust, and walked to open the door.
This time it was Wu Qing standing at the door with big bags and small bags.
"Wu Qing, you're here." Xu Weilin said with a smile.
"Auntie?" Wu Qing was surprised.
"Come in, come in, Zhang Zihan is sleeping there, go and call him." After Xu Weilin finished speaking, she went to the kitchen.
"Is Bai Xi feeling better?" Wu Qing put her big and small bags on the table and walked to the kitchen.
"I don't have much energy. I just woke her up. Let's drink some porridge and take medicine to let her sleep again." Xu Weilin picked up the porridge and was about to walk to the room.
"Auntie, let me go." Wu Qing stretched out her hand.
"No, no, I'll just go and you go call him." Xu Weilin said with a smile, and then walked into the room.
Wu Qing stood by the sofa, looking at Zhang Zihan lying down and sleeping, and sighed helplessly.
"Mr. Zhang, get up." She called him coldly.
Zhang Zihan heard her voice, tentatively opened his eyes, turned around, snickered, but wouldn't get up.
Seeing him like that, Wu Qing shook her head depressedly, ignored him, and went to see Bai Xi.
Bai Xi sat on the bed with a red face, slowly eating the porridge from the bowl. Xu Weilin sat next to her and looked at her intently, smiling lovingly.
"Is it tasty enough?" Xu Weilin was afraid that the porridge she cooked was not to her liking.
"Yeah." Bai Xi nodded.
Wu Qing walked in and said, "Bai Xi."
Bai Xi looked up at her and called, "Sister Wu Qing."
"Are you feeling better?" Wu Qing asked considerately.
"Yeah." Bai Xi nodded lightly.
"Is he awake?" Xu Weilin asked.
"Pretending to sleep." Wu Qing shrugged.
"Give me the bowl." Xu Weilin handed over, took the bowl, placed it on the table next to her, and then gave Bai Xi the antipyretic medicine and water, "Take the medicine and then sleep for a while."
Bai Xi looked at the white pills on her palm, raised her head and blinked at Xu Weilin. This was the first time she had seen these pills.
"What is this?" Bai Xi asked curiously.
"Here's the antipyretic medicine, put it in your mouth, then drink some water and pour it down into your stomach." Xu Weilin showed her with gestures, probably because she thought she was confused because of the illness.
Bai Xi followed her actions and put the medicine into his mouth, then took a swig of water and swallowed the medicine into his stomach.
The taste of the pills made her uncomfortable for a moment, and she flattened her mouth and frowned.
"Look at how cute you are." Xu Weilin gently pressed the wrinkles between her eyebrows, "Sleep well now, and your sickness will be cured when you wake up."
"Thank you, Mom!" Bai Xi said.
When she called "Mom", Xu Weilin felt relieved and overflowing with satisfaction.
Suddenly it began to rain heavily, slapping against the windows.
Bai Xi, who was sleeping soundly, was gradually awakened by the sound of rain.
Looking at the raindrops beating against the window outside, I slowly got up and walked to the window.
"In this season, it can rain so heavily." Xu Weilin stood by the door of the balcony, looking at the pouring rain outside.
