Chapter 1132 General(1/2)
Chapter 1133 New Prophecy
Honeydukes has released a new candy, an edible quill.
It is made of white chocolate and can solve the problem that some people have when they encounter difficulties and habitually bite the pen tip.
After they all arrived at Hogsmeade, Pomona naturally had to "replenish" some supplies. Fortunately, during the exam week, many young wizards were not in the mood to hang out in Hogsmeade, so she came out easily.
Severus was waiting for her outside the door. Perhaps he had gone to the Owl Post Office while she was shopping. There were some owl feathers on his black robes.
But considering that the post office is right across from Honeydukes, maybe some owl that loves to shed its feathers accidentally got stuck on him.
"What are you looking at?" Pomona followed his line of sight and looked over. There were not many young wizards on the street, mostly adult wizards, unless Harry Potter lent the Invisibility Cloak to others.
"Sibyl Trelawney." Severus stared at the back of a staggering woman and said, "She looked very unhappy just now, as if she wanted to drown her sorrows in wine."
Sybil went in the direction of the Three Broomsticks. Considering that Aberforth now lent the Hog's Head Bar to Ernie Macmillan's classroom where he teaches the God Guard, if Sybil wanted to get drunk, the Three Broomsticks would probably be the only one.
chosen.
"Should we follow her?" Pomona asked.
"Are you in a hurry?" Severus asked.
She thought about it for a moment, but in fact her mind went blank and she didn't think of anything.
"Butterbeer is a little hot in the summer, but sherry is actually good," Pomona said.
So they turned a corner in the middle and walked towards the Three Broomsticks.
When they entered the Three Broomsticks, Sybil was already sitting at the bar, and Mrs. Rosmerta was placing a glass of cherry juice with a small umbrella and ice cubes in front of her.
"What I want is wine." Sybil said angrily, "Wine! Do you know what wine is?"
"You're drunk, Professor." Mrs. Rosmerta said. "And it's still daytime."
"Who cares? I'm useless anyway." Sybil's lips trembled, as if she was about to cry. "Everyone thinks there is no need to set up a divination test in the OWS exam."
Pomona raised an eyebrow.
In the past, Albus had planned to cancel the Divination class due to financial constraints. Sybil's grandmother, Patricia Trelawney, did not inherit the gift of prophethood. She was just a swindler.
But Patricia did predict one thing accurately, that is, Sybil's father would marry a Muggle woman in the future. They met while reading palms, and they continued to live a wandering life after getting married.
, of course there was no inheritance for her to inherit, and Sybil was homeless after leaving Hogwarts.
Sybil once had a marriage, but it ended hastily because she could not accept changing her husband's surname to "Higbottom".
Compared with the marriage that ended before it even started, what makes Sybil feel more depressed is the contempt others have for her. Minerva will do manicures for all the female teachers at Hogwarts, but it does not mean that she and Sybil
Very pleasant to get along with.
Minerva did not take Sibyl's prediction seriously. Every year Sibyl predicted that a student would die, but no one actually died.
Sybil actually wanted to gain respect and recognition from others, but panicking did not improve the situation, but made it worse. She rarely went to the hall downstairs to dine with everyone, but asked the house elves to deliver the food there.
On the sweltering tower.
Being used by others is very unpleasant, but what is even more unpleasant is that one is being "idled" and seems to be of no use.
Soon Mrs. Rosmerta was called away by other guests, leaving Sybil alone. Her shoulders were twitching and she seemed to be crying.
"Don't you like divination? Why can't you get along with her?" Severus asked.
"She's a Ravenclaw." Pomona turned her gaze to him. "Would you make friends with a Gryffindor boy?"
The Head of Slytherin immediately looked like he had drank a pint of raw bone water.
Pomona found a place to sit down. In fact, she was very jealous of Trelawney. Sybil still had a few students from the outer college who admired her, but Pomona had no admirers except the students from this college.
"She looks very unhappy, how about we give her a gift?" Severus sat down next to her.
"Gift?"
"That astrological tablet."
"Do you really dislike that thing? At least study it for a while longer!"
Severus shook his head, "I want to experiment with using it to start a fire. Is it better than ordinary fuel?"
In fact, Pomona couldn't stand the astrology board either. Sybil happened to be lonely, so maybe they would become good "friends".
"Take it out," Pomona said.
Severus took out the poor astrological tablet from his lizard-skin pocket.
In addition to the astrolabe, it also has a relief sculpture of Medusa's head. Now its mouth is sealed with some kind of gum. "Medusa" is looking at Severus with a look of horror.
If it had legs and could run, it would have run far away now. Pomona looked back at Sybil, thinking about what excuse she would use to send it away.
"Want something to drink?" Mrs. Rosmerta came over at this time.
"Some sherry," Pomona said in a sweet voice that prevented her from recognizing her own voice.
Mrs. Rosmerta left quickly. When Pomona looked at the bar, she found Sybil looking over here, and then she came uninvited and sat next to Pomona.
"Want to have your palm read? My dear." Sybil said with a crazy smile, "I am the great-great-grandson of the prophet Cassandra, and I am very accurate in reading palms."
"No." Pomona retracted her hand subconsciously.
She didn't want Sybill Trelawney to predict when she would die.
"I heard that there is a centaur teaching Divination at Hogwarts. Won't your courses conflict?" Severus asked.
Professor Snape's voice was very special. I don't know what method he used to make his voice less deep, but Sybil was still in a trance when she looked at him.
"I'm sorry." Sybil squinted at Severus through her glasses as thick as a wine bottle, "Have I seen you somewhere?"
"This is my first time in England. You got the wrong person." Severus said calmly.
Mrs. Rosmerta happened to come over at this time. She looked at Pomona and Severus while serving wine, as if she wanted to remember their looks.
"Do you know what this thing is for?" Pomona put the astrological board on the table in front of Sybil. "It seems to be broken."
"You should clean off the glue that seals its mouth," said Sybil.
"No, that's what I did," Pomona said awkwardly, "because it kept talking."
"How pitiful." Sybil said sympathetically, "You are obviously just a piece of wood, but you are trying to guide the destiny of mankind."
"That should be an alchemical item." Severus said, "You can try it."
Sybil took out her wand.
It was made of the same hazelwood as Felix's wand, but Sybil's wand had a unicorn hair core.
With a finger of her wand, the glue on the relief of Medusa disappeared, and it took several loud breaths like a real person.
"Thank you... thank you." Medusa said intermittently.
"You're welcome." Sibyl said, "You can also tell fortunes?"
"The people who made me hope that I can have this ability." Board said, "But the future seems to be shrouded in a layer of fog, and I can only see the trajectories of a few stars."
Sybil's eyes shone with excitement.
"I'm just like you, sometimes it's like looking at the stars in the sky through the clouds, but sometimes I can see some fragments."
"Are you a third-eyed person?" Wooden Board said in surprise.
Sybil grew proud.
"Yes, I am a third-eyed person." She said with great pride.
"Oh, I really didn't expect it...it's such an honor." The board said excitedly.
Sybil enjoyed the compliment and the smile on her face looked bright.
Then the two began to communicate something Pomona didn't understand at all.
"Do you know what they are talking about?" Severus whispered into Pomona's ear.
"No." Pomona shook her head. She felt that the "aliens" Muggles referred to were the two in front of her.
In fact, both Grindelwald and Sybil have the gift of prophecy. Why did Grindelwald become the Dark Lord, but Sybil Trelawney almost had no place to live?
Pomona poured a glass of sherry and drank by herself. She didn't go through an interview like Sybil did and stayed at Hogwarts to teach.
She had never thought about how lucky this was before, and she had never associated herself with Arianna.
Arianna was attacked by three Muggle children while she was using magic in her garden. She was probably playing with flowers and plants at that time, just like Pomona usually did in the greenhouse.
Perhaps in Albus's eyes, Pomona is the normal Arianna who has not experienced that great change. Like a normal little witch, she will receive an education in a magic school, enjoy a happy time, and then grow up with her brother.
Under the shadow of the world, teaching in the paradise-like Hogwarts, living happily and without worries.
The realization made her feel like she couldn't breathe.
Those picnics, and the wise teachings in the principal's office, were he targeting her, or was he a person in his imagination?
"Don't drink in such a hurry." Severus held her hand down with a cold face, "Even sherry will make you drunk."
It is useless to indulge in illusory dreams and forget about real life.
But who are the people who are really addicted to illusions?
To be continued...
