Chapter 2480 Interpretation
Chapter 2482 gossip house (Part 1)
In the south of Alsace, there is a small town called Ilfite. Not long ago, Napoleon sent gendarmes there to arrest a group of bandits. A small group of these people passed by there.
The bandits received wide support among the masses. In order not to alert others, the military police did not live in the town, but camped in the forest five miles outside the town.
After arranging the order of the night watch, everyone fell asleep except the night watchman. It was just a normal day until the captain suddenly felt something was wrong in the middle of the night. When he got up, he found that the guard responsible for the night watch was missing.
He quickly woke up everyone and put out the fire. The winter in Alsace was much colder than that in Belgium. He lay in the snow for about half an hour. When there was no other movement, the captain asked the others to leave.
He waited for orders and then went to look for the missing team member.
He walked along the tracks in the snow for about three minutes, and then he found the team member, who was standing motionless.
"Joseph." The captain called the team member, but the latter was indifferent and continued to stand as if he was dementia.
The captain did not dare to be careless. He lit a torch and threw it in the dark direction where the team members were looking. Under the light of the fire, he could clearly see that it was a stone tablet, made of a 30-foot-tall pole.
It consists of stone pillars with a sculpture of the Holy Spirit on the top and inscriptions on the base.
It seemed to be written in Latin, but the captain did not know Latin. After copying the above text, the captain tied the team member with a rope and took him away from the place. After returning to the camp, Joseph
When he woke up, he didn't know what happened or when his teammates woke up.
The next day, the captain and team members went to the nearby villagers and the woodcutter to inquire about the stone pillars in the forest, but no one was willing to mention it and left one after another. Finally, the captain gave a heavy reward and learned about it from a hunter.
Something happened.
About 100 years ago, there lived a family of seven in this town, a pair of poor and smart parents and five children, two boys and three girls. It was nothing unusual at first. The children in this family were all quiet and average-intelligence.
They were teenagers, but one day, the "mischievous spirit" came to their home and troubled them for more than a year.
This stone pillar originally belonged to that family. After the priest performed the exorcism, he removed it from the family's home and placed it alone in the forest. It was originally managed by someone, but no one left it after the Great Revolution.
The team leader waited until noon, when the sun was the strongest, to take two team members to investigate. The pillar was still in place, but the tree behind it had grown a lot over the past hundred years. Maybe the roots of the tree had shaken the foundation of the pillar.
It seemed to be a little tilted. The captain dug twice under the pillar with a shovel and found a cavity underneath. Then he wrote a letter to report this discovery to his superiors.
The French Ministry of Magic sent wizards, but they did not accompany the soldiers, but "protected" the senior commanders. After receiving the information, two wizards went to investigate, and then nothing happened until the commander sent someone.
When I went to Ilfite to investigate, the place was deserted, as if it had been robbed by bandits, and the original military police and wizards were nowhere to be found.
"Where is the pillar?" asked Rabastan Lestrange.
Georgiana ignored him.
When Peeves was almost expelled from Hogwarts, he had used weapons such as guns and cannons that could harm the lives of students. She didn't know how angry the prankster elf would be when he was kicked out of the house.
"Let's first ask people to find out what happened to the family that was harassed by the prankster 100 years ago." Georgiana said calmly, "Paris has all the files in the church library."
"Of course they continue to live together happily." Lestrange said sarcastically.
"Do you see the Latin below?" said Georgiana.
Lestrange looked at the letter.
"Four children," said Georgiana. "Where is the other child?"
Lestrange made no answer.
"Go check it out quickly. Fortunately, our communication is convenient."
"Alsace is a Protestant area, and Protestantism does not recognize exorcism." Lestrange said.
"I don't think so." Georgiana shook her head. "Even in England, there are villagers who ask Catholic priests for help."
"I hope so," Lestrange said, then bowed and left.
Soon after he left, Georgiana collapsed on the sofa.
Before she could catch her breath, the door opened again.
"Can you let the lounge be used as it should be!" Georgiana roared.
"Oh, do you think the half-time break is really for us to rest?" Charlotte said, "When your head is buzzing from being beaten and you feel nauseous, you still have to listen to the coach.
It’s like hearing someone tell you to get up and go to work the next day after a hangover.”
"It's terrible," Georgiana said in a foul tone.
"Yes, it sucks." Charlotte sat down in front of Georgiana. "I told him, you don't count as a winner, because if you tell me, you are the 'Gate of Hell', I will not sleep with you."
Yes, have you ever seen a smart mouse touch the delicious-looking bait?"
"He'll be more pleased if you say that," said Georgiana.
"I had a pretty good night except that he took me for a gamble..."
Georgiana covered her ears.
"What else? Crying until you burst into tears?" Charlotte said sharply, "If you fall to the ground, your opponent will not help you up, but will beat you until you can't stand up again, even if you lose your life, so don't
Don’t cry even if you fall to the ground!”
Georgiana said nothing.
"I won't be a boxer forever. One day I will retire and become a coach." Charlotte took out a cigarette from her handbag. "Look, this is what it feels like to listen to the coach during halftime."
"I also want!"
"Nice girls can't smoke."
Georgiana didn't care so much. She took a cigarette from Charlotte's cigarette case and lit it with magic. Charlotte didn't show much fuss and smoked calmly.
"This world has never been fair." Charlotte said calmly, "The only things we can live by are rules. As long as the rules are still there, we can't continue to pursue even if we fall to the ground."
"Do you want to teach that 'Hell Gate' a lesson?" Georgiana said fiercely, "I know a lot of curses that can't kill people, but can make them uncomfortable."
Charlotte sneered, "He didn't win."
"You want to just let it go?"
Charlotte suddenly approached Georgiana and asked, "Do you think he will propose to me?"
Georgiana's eyes widened.
Charlotte leaned on the sofa and smiled cynically.
"Don't you feel sick?" Georgiana asked.
"No." Charlotte said firmly.
She didn't know what to say, she should have less to do with such people, but Charlotte seemed unwilling to give in and wanted to force her way in.
"When someone knew that I was his mistress, several people from the engineering team approached me, hoping that I could introduce them to the count and take over the construction of the new theater." Charlotte said.
Georgiana said nothing.
"There were flowers, gifts, you know, things that would please a girl, but the most exaggerated thing was that he met my father."
"What?"
"In addition to fast horses, there are also people who like cars that can run very fast."
"Do you think he likes you?" Georgiana asked.
"He just didn't win." Charlotte said coldly, "This time he wants me to know who he is."
Georgiana soon found that the goodwill she had accumulated towards "Hell Gate" because of its luxurious and novel scenes had completely disappeared.
"It was a magical night, until the moment the 'bet' was revealed." Charlotte said softly, "Have you ever felt that way?"
Charlotte is already like this, and Georgiana is not going to rub salt into her wounds.
"Did he give you jewelry?" Georgiana asked.
"Don't mention this!" Charlotte shook her finger. "I don't want to argue with you over this issue."
Georgiana was confused.
"Let's talk about Emma." Charlotte smiled. "This topic is safe for both of us."
