Chapter 2504 childe(1/2)
Chapter 2506 "Mutual Generation" and "Mutual Restraint" (Part 2)
Sirius has an old house elf named Kreacher.
Sirius had always disliked it, and it didn't like Sirius either, and he didn't even care much about the other house elves in Hogwarts, and the kitchen happened to be the place with the most house elves in the entire school.
In order to avoid Filch when they were studying, they made a Marauder's Map. The high-sounding reason was to make it easier for Remus to return to his dormitory after transforming into the Shrieking Shack. In fact, it was mostly used as a prank.
.
Remus captured it from Harry not long ago - obviously it had gone through an unknown journey - when Harry ran to the Slytherin cellar for unknown reasons, close to the dock where the new students' boat landed.
, then he met the old bat returning from night patrol, and it was Remus who saved him.
The Hogwarts kitchen is one of the few places not shown on the Marauder's Map. Anyone who enters the kitchen will disappear just like entering the Room of Requirement, which happens to be not far from the Gryffindor Common Room.
The last time the fat woman was attacked, she deliberately didn't remind everyone about it, although she didn't remind anyone else about it.
It was still hard for her to believe that Sirius would betray James. He bought a motorcycle with a tow truck specifically to go to the Muggle world with James. In fact, they could each have a flying motorcycle, the kind that could be ridden alone.
, but that’s what he bought.
"Who brought Buckbeak to Hogwarts?" Scamander asked.
"The Black house elf," Pomona answered.
"Why?" Scamander continued.
"You just mentioned what happened last year. Do you know that Harry Potter almost missed the start of school because he didn't catch the Hogwarts Express?" Pomona said. "Last year, there was a staff member from the Ministry of Magic.
The illegal modification of Muggle supplies was dealt with when he modified a Muggle car. His son was driving the car and Harry Potter was the passenger. They forgot the invisibility spray and then their flying car was destroyed by at least 12 Muggles.
Witnessed."
"What does this have to do with Buckbeak?" Scamander asked.
"It must have been when Sirius was in fifth grade. One morning he rode Buckbeak and flew over the school...many girls ran to the windows and screamed at him." Pomona said numbly, "And James.
, he also won the Quidditch match, and then someone thought they were in the spotlight, so they found a broomstick and foolishly planned to ride it around in the sky."
Scamander didn't laugh. He was so shocked that his eyes widened. "I remember that to use the Hippogriff, you need to know the Disguise Charm."
"Yes, that is stipulated in accordance with the International Statute of Secrecy. It must be used in the Muggle world and does not need to be observed in the magical world." She continued to say numbly, "Sirius did not intend to show off, but Buckbeak wanted to go for a ride.
He has been doing this since the beginning of school, but he happened to come back a little late that day and was seen by others."
"I still don't understand..."
"It was Snape who told Mrs. Malfoy that if Sirius came back, he would definitely find transportation, most likely the Black family's Hippogriff Buckbeak. So in order to prevent him from sneaking into the school, he threatened
To ensure Draco Malfoy's safety, she had better send Buckbeak to Hogwarts, so before school started, Mrs. Malfoy asked the house elves of the Black family to send him on the Hogwarts Express.
Leave it to Hagrid to take care of you when you get to school."
Scamander seems to be really old and he still doesn't understand what happened.
"This is not a breeding issue for you. Buckbeak was retrained by Sirius Black to deal with werewolves."
"How did you know?"
"I have the same question, why did you mention Malfoy before the question of the Chamber of Secrets?" Pomona asked.
"Albus told you?" Scamander asked.
"So be it." She said in an understatement, "New hatred combined with old hatred... Sirius Black is Mr. Potter's godfather, and they have not had a good relationship since they were students."
"I can understand the old hatred, but what is the new hatred?" Scamander asked.
Pomona opened her mouth and swallowed the words she was about to say.
"We're here." She came to the door of the lounge, "Want to go back to your old dormitory to see it?"
Scamander stood at the door without answering. It happened that the lounge was opened from inside, and two students walked out.
"Hello, Dean." They said in unison, but did not recognize Newt Scamander behind her.
Newt kept watching them until their backs disappeared at the end of the corridor.
Pomona stood silent.
"Time seems to have not changed," Scamander said. "I wore the same uniform as them when I went to school."
"Keep thinking that way." Pomona smiled and led Scamander into the lounge.
The tables and chairs in the public rest area were moved to create a large open space. There were many skipping ropes, hula hoops and yoga mats, and several students were practicing yoga in tights.
Scamander was astonished.
"It has been like this since our Quidditch match with Gryffindor was interrupted by Dementors last semester." Pomona said helplessly, "Their target seems to be Mr. Potter, but our search ball
The hand was also involved, and then no one went to the pitch to practice Quidditch."
"Useful?" Scamander asked.
Pomona looked at Scamander, who was old but still very thin, and then at the students who were stretched into Michelin tires by tights, and shook his head.
"We're too close to the kitchen," she said in a low voice.
"I've never been to the girls' dormitory, can I go there?" Newt asked.
Pomona kept her standard smile.
"Of course." She said sweetly, "But it's just a public rest area, you can't enter their room."
So Scamander walked in the direction of the girls' dormitory.
When his feet stepped onto the stairs of the girls' dormitory, he did not touch the magic above, and the stairs did not turn into a slide.
He looked at Pomona in surprise.
"Unchanged!"
"Of course." She said with a fake smile, "This magic is originally designed to protect against 'minors'."
Scamander walked down the stairs to the girls' lounge. He was amazed by the appearance of the tropical rainforest inside, even though he had really been to a tropical rainforest.
"It's always been ice and snow over there in the men's dormitory," Scamander said. "It's just like the outside of the castle."
"Is that why you don't like staying in the dormitory?" Pomona asked.
"No, there's no room for my animals in the dormitory." Scamander looked at the tropical rainforest and said, "If it's the same over there, I don't need to look for empty classrooms."
Pomona didn't say anything. The layout of the school was designed by the founders, and no one had the right to change it, sometimes even the principal.
However, a lot of modifications were made to lay the bathroom pipes. No one expected that the entrance to the secret room was actually in the girls' bathroom on the second floor.
"The basilisk is dead," Pomona said. "Potter killed it with the Sword of Gryffindor."
"I know." Scamander said calmly, "It seems there is no need for the Department for the Control of Magical Creatures to be dispatched."
"This time you come..."
"Oh, look!" Scamander ran towards a stone. "This is your turtle."
Pomona was stunned.
Scamander knelt on the ground and listened for a while with his ear against the stone. Then he took out his wand and turned over the turtle that Pomona had always regarded as a stone. It stretched out its arms and legs to try to turn it over, but it was in vain.
Shaking in the air.
"Why is it so big?" Pomona said in surprise, "I remember it was only as big as a fish tank when it was little."
"It's a male," Scamander said. "You didn't find him a mate?"
"I think he can find his mate," Pomona said.
In fact, she has always believed that it is unreasonable for schools to mandate that freshmen must have pets. Not everyone is responsible or willing to keep them with them until they grow old. Many pets are thrown away after students graduate, and some of them are looking for food.
The smell found its way into the kitchen, and the house elves were willing to take care of them as if they were pets with an owner.
After so many years since the school was established, she felt that she was not the only one who knew how to raise a turtle, and that it would definitely find a new partner.
"It's not happy here." Scamander said. "I want to take it away. Do you think that's okay?"
"Of course." Pomona said without hesitation, without any reluctance.
She had never pampered it as a pet, and the purpose of raising it was to meet the requirements of the school. However, Scamander said that it was unhappy, which made her a little concerned. The atmosphere in the college was obviously very relaxed.
"What's its name?" Scamander asked.
"Turtle," Pomona replied.
"that's all?"
"That's it." She shrugged pretending to be relaxed.
"You don't love it, do you?" Scamander asked.
"Do you love all your animals?" Pomona asked.
Scamander didn't answer.
"You are not human." He said after looking at her for a while, "Even though you are pretending."
"How did you tell?" Pomona asked.
To be continued...
