Chapter 2821 The Runaway Wolf IV

Chapter 2823 The Fleeing Wolf (6)

As the Scotsman says: I don't buy something without seeing it.

We arrived at the cemetery in the early morning like a corpse hunter. The cemetery was full of tombstones. I stumbled behind Van Helsing and Dr. Self, and now Mrs. Harker's son Arthur, who followed me.

Back there, get us a shovel.

Two yew trees were planted on the farthest side of the cemetery, and two rows of pine trees divided the cemetery and the passage. Because of the mist, I always felt like there were white flying objects flying around.

"Is it this one?" Van Helsing shined a lantern on a tombstone for Dr. Self to see.

"Yes, I think..."

Before Dr. Self could finish speaking, Van Helsing took the shovel from Arthur's hand and started shoveling the soil as I expected.

"Hurry up!" Van Helsing said to us, "Before dawn."

I also picked up a shovel and dug the grave with Van Helsing. Dr. Self walked beside me. Perhaps because of professional ethics, he did not participate in our actions.

After observing for a while, Arthur joined me and Van Helsing. Neither of us spoke. We could only hear the "rustling" sound of the shovel being inserted into the soil.

The clock in the distance showed that the time was 4 o'clock in the morning, and we finally dug up the coffin. Before opening the coffin lid, Van Helsing tied a handkerchief on himself to cover his face. I think he could at least block the smell of the corpse by doing this.

So I did what he did.

"Give me the candle," Van Helsing said to Arthur.

After taking the candle, he held it up to illuminate the tarnished metal nameplate on the coffin. The wax oil fell drop by drop on the coffin, condensing into white marks, and the wood faded by time was covered with mud.

After confirming that this was the coffin belonging to the captain, he took out the screwdriver from the tools he carried with him. This situation was difficult for me to accept, even though I had been prepared in advance.

"Afraid or something else?" Van Helsing asked.

"I'm not afraid," I said, but I thought it was a kind of blasphemy against the dead.

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but the realization that some things are more important than fear." Van Helsing said, and then he slammed the screwdriver on the coffin quickly, which made me shudder.

A small hole appeared in the outer shell of the coffin, big enough for the tip of the circular saw to fit in. I thought Van Helsing was going to destroy the coffin, but like a carpenter, he carefully sawed a hole in the coffin, just before the window board he sawed was about to

Before falling, he grabbed the edge, took it out, and looked at the candle for a while.

"How was it?" I asked.

Van Helsing gave me the candle, and I gradually approached the coffin and looked inside. The coffin was empty.

"Did you find the answer?" Dr. Self asked.

"I need more evidence." Van Helsing looked up at Dr. Self who was standing on the ground. "Where was the person who buried him at that time?"

"I'm afraid we have to ask the priest, but if we ask, he will have us caught immediately," Dr. Self said.

"You don't have to worry about this." Van Helsing looked at me. "Will you come forward?"

I thought it was nothing, but Arthur chickened out and was only willing to take the tools back to the inn.

I collected a box of soil for him to take away, and then we walked to the church next to the cemetery. It was already getting a little brighter, and after the light got better, I didn't stumble like before.

Soon Van Haixi knocked on the door, and at the same time a rooster crowed in the distance. Before anyone came to open the door, Fan Haixi asked me to stand in front, and then an old priest opened the door.

"What's the matter, kid?"

"I am the special commissioner from the capital. I have some questions to ask you." I pointed at Van Helsing. "He is my advisor."

"Good morning, John." Dr. Self greeted the priest.

"Good morning." The priest said to Dr. Self coldly, "Whose grave did you just dig?"

I looked down at myself and saw that my whole body was covered in mud, and so was Van Helsing.

"The captain's tomb." Dr. Self said. "What can you explain? Father."

The priest looked a little panicked.

"Can we go in and talk?" Van Helsing asked.

"No, you can't," Father John said, closing the door in our faces.

The Killing Curse, Cruciatus Curse and Imperius Curse were designated as Unforgivable Curses in 1717. Although the law stipulates that anyone who uses the Unforgivable Curses will face life imprisonment in Azkaban, but under the leadership of Buddy Crouch Sr.

During the Enforcement Department of the Ministry of Magic, righteous masters were granted the privilege of using the Unforgivable Curses.

They are a very small number of Aurors. Now that the war is over, their privileges have been taken back with the loss of old Buddy Crouch. In other words, Cecil of the Werewolf Capture Team must not use the Unforgivable Curse.

Under the circumstances, brave the heavy snow and cold to catch dangerous gangsters on Christmas.

No matter what kind of person Cecil's brother was, Barnaby had a pretty good life at school because of such an uncle. In contrast, Snape "chatted" with the children while drinking eggnog

It seems so lucky.

But besides being "young and promising" and squeezing out his teacher, the Potions Master also had something in his grasp. After drinking the eggnog, they left the Hufflepuff Cellar and came to Slytherin's Cellar.

Dungeon. After walking in the intricate dungeon for a while, they came to an iron fence. Severus used his wand to turn the snake-shaped lampstand next to it, and the snake's green eyes lit up.

"I heard it," said Barnaby in horror. "It said 'password'."

"You are surrounded by divine mysteries." Severus said with a strange smile at Barnaby.

Then the iron fence opened.

"What is this place?" Liz asked, looking around.

"Library." Severus said. As soon as he finished speaking, the snake-shaped lampstands lit up, illuminating the entire hall.

There are many iron doors here. Behind the iron doors are bookshelves, but these bookshelves are empty.

"Salazar Slytherin's library?" Barnaby asked.

"If you have any secrets that you don't want to be heard and need to be discussed, you can come here." Severus said.

"Can't it be done at my place?" Pomona asked.

"I agree." Liz said.

"Me too," said Barnaby.

"What about you, Ben Cooper?" Severus asked the Gryffindor present.

"I agree..." Ben said with a sad face.

Pomona felt that he could not be allowed to continue like this.

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but the realization that some things are more important than fear." Pomona said to Ben according to what he read in other books.

"With Paul, you will be exposed to dark magic sooner or later." Severus looked at Ben and said, "Do you think you can bear it?"

Ben didn't answer immediately.

Severus let out a long sigh.

"If it weren't for the sacrifice of a woman, how could you win like this?"

"If James were here, he would have his wand out by now," Pomona said.

Snape smiled triumphantly, as if waiting for someone to take out their wands.

"No, it's not because of a woman." Barnaby stood up and said, "This is a world full of mysteries. The mysterious man may know more than us, but he doesn't know everything. There are always situations that are beyond his control.

"

"He can't control everything, not even himself," Leeds said.

"What do you have to say?" Severus asked Ben again.

"It's not that simple to find the 'important thing'." Seeing that Ben couldn't answer, Pomona answered for him.

'I think you already know where to find it.'

She heard a voice say.

She looked around but couldn't find the source of the sound.

"What are you doing?" Severus looked at her suspiciously.

"I'm looking for something." She said confused.

"What?" Severus asked.

"Even if it's a holiday now, it's too late." Pomona said to several students, "You should go back."

They looked at each other and had no objections and had to leave.

Pomona didn't speak until the sound of the iron fence falling was heard behind her.

"Is there anything else you want to tell me?"

After a long silence, he said "No."

"Good night then, and Merry Christmas," Pomona said, turning to leave.

"I may have some clues," Severus said suddenly.

"What clue?" she asked with her back to him.

"My information comes at a price, what can you give me?" he said cunningly.

Pomona looked back at him.

His eyes were shining like a hungry wolf.
