Chapter 2835 Red Eye Eight

 Chapter 2837 "Red Eye" (10)

Deep beneath Whitehall, where the Department of Mysteries is located, there is a room like this.

It looks dim and has a sunken center, forming a huge stone pit. Stone steps surround the entire house, like stone benches, gradually descending step by step, each step is very steep, like a lecture theater.

There is no chair with an iron chain in the center of the stone pit. Instead, there is a raised stone platform with an arch standing on it and a pair of tattered curtains hanging on it. Although there is no wind here, it is

Still swinging gently.

Some people say that they can hear voices coming from the other side of the curtain, as if there is someone there...

"Hurry! Jay still has some tickets for the Weird Sisters' concert!"

Pomona dodged two students running down the hallway.

The Weird Sisters are going to hold a concert during the summer vacation. Although there is still some time before the summer vacation, tickets have already started to go on sale, and a new black market has been formed again.

She hurried to Filch's office, and when she opened the door, the first person to greet her was Mrs. Lorris, who was looking at Pomona with her red eyes.

"Professor, you are here." Filch said in a slightly smug tone, "These are the two students, they are going to provoke the Whomping Willow."

"Dean." Tonks and Tupri looked at her pitifully.

After making sure that Filch had not shackled them both, Pomona looked at Filch.

"They are new students. I think they must have lost their way. Thank you for finding them, Argus."

"No……"

"Thank you Mr. Filch?" Pomona said to Tonks and Tupri.

"Thank you for saving us, Mr. Filch," Tonks and Tupri said together.

Filch was speechless.

Taking this opportunity, Pomona left Filch's office with Tonks and Tupri.

"What's going on with you two? Why are you so adventurous?" Pomona said to the two of them after arriving at a deserted place.

"We wanted to take a closer look," Tonks said.

"The Whomping Willow will attack anything that moves, whether it's a human or not." Pomona said angrily, "Did Peeves take you there?"

"No, we went there by ourselves." Tupri said "righteously".

"Then you must be responsible for your actions. From today until the day of summer vacation, you will be in confinement. You will come to my greenhouse tomorrow afternoon." Pomona said.

The two of them howled together.

Pomona ruthlessly ignored this. If the Whomping Willow had really hurt them, they would be either in the hospital wing or somewhere worse.

After settling the matter, she walked up the grand staircase, where the Fat Lady was singing opera again.

If she didn't sing high notes just for the sake of singing high notes, her voice would sound quite beautiful. She came to the spiral staircase on the third floor and took it to the principal's office.

She arrived a little late, and the staff meeting had already begun. Snape was standing on the outermost floor, near the door. He noticed Pomona as soon as he appeared, and he moved aside.

"Where are you talking about?" she asked in a low voice.

"Listen to yourself." He said impatiently.

The principal is giving instructions about the final exam and OLS exam.

"Do you think Carter can make it to next year?"

Pomona looked over and saw that the professor of ancient runes and the professor of arithmetic and divination were talking in low voices.

"I don't think so." The arithmetic and divination class professor lowered his voice and said, "It's not like you don't know how powerful that curse is."

"Are you busy tomorrow?" Snape asked her.

"Two students are going to detention," Pomona said.

"Confinement? You?" He twisted his lips and smiled maliciously.

"Any questions?" Pomona said.

"Tomorrow is the weekend. Do you want to lock students up during the weekend?" he asked with a smile.

Pomona slapped her forehead and she forgot about it.

"Do you have any questions? Professor Sprout." Dumbledore asked.

"No, it's nothing." Pomona put down his hand, "I just killed a mosquito."

Dumbledore continued to talk about exam week, Snape let out a muffled laugh, and Pomona wanted to step on him.

When the meeting finally ended, they left together with the others, and Albus did not leave anyone alone to talk.

Everything seemed peaceful.

"By the way, there's something I almost forgot to tell you." On the way downstairs, Snape suddenly said, "The principal is planning to set up a new project, the Horned Pack Beast Release Project."

"What? When? Why did Albus tell you?" Pomona asked.

"Because it concerns Liz Stewart, do you think she is qualified?" Snape said.

"I'll have to ask her about that," Pomona said.

"I'm asking for your opinion, not her opinion. If she's not qualified, just replace her with someone else. The Ministry of Magic is not just a magical creature protection expert." Snape said, "This can be an international cooperation project."

"Liz hasn't graduated yet."

"Didn't Scamander graduate? Vera can't live with humans forever. She will eventually be released into the forest."

"But can Leeds leave now?" Pomona asked.

"That's why I asked your opinion, it would actually be a good thing to get her out of this." Snape said as they reached the foyer.

Normally, Pomona would have asked Liz for her opinion instead of making the decision for her.

Because of the rumors, Gryffindor's Cole has become the primary suspect of violence against Barnaby. He is now as angry as James in the past, looking for Barnaby's "theory" everywhere.

But Barnaby seemed to disappear from school all of a sudden. He neither dropped out nor took a leave of absence. His homework was always handed in on time, but he was nowhere to be seen during class.

"Tomorrow... shall we meet here, or shall we go to North Ford Marsh?" Snape asked.

"Let's talk about it over dinner," Pomona said tiredly.

"I don't want to eat at school on Friday night," said Snape.

"Then where do you want to go?"

Before Snape could finish speaking, Charlie hurried into the hall.

"Where are you going, Mr. Weasley!" Pomona stopped Charlie.

"They kidnapped Ben," Charlie told Pomona. "They won't let him go unless Barnaby comes forward."

"Wait, who kidnapped whom?" Pomona stopped Charlie who was in a hurry and wanted to run away.

"Cole and the others kidnapped Ben and asked Barnaby to come out and speak clearly." After Charlie finished speaking, he ran towards Gryffindor Tower.

"Where are they?" Snape asked.

"The Screaming Shack," Charlie said without looking back.

Snape's magic pressure soared.

"There were two first-grade kids just now. They went to mess with the Whomping Willow." Pomona said with a smile, "I punished them with confinement until the end of the semester."

"It's going to be a full moon soon." Snape said coldly, "Will any werewolves go there to transform?"

"I think that's Lupin's secret," Pomona said softly.

"Notify Lee's guardian, whether he is a guardian or a member of the werewolf capture team, he should come forward." Snape said.

"How did they get to that place?" Pomona muttered. "Except for the secret passage, everything is sealed."

He obviously didn't care about this and walked towards the outside of the school.
