Chapter 7 Hogwarts Express
(Part 1)
According to the tradition of Hogwarts, every student, whether he is a Muggle or a pure-blood wizard, must take the train to school. However, wizards living in the wizarding world will apparate directly to the platform. Only those living in Muggles
The wizards of the world struggled to get through King's Cross Station to the platform.
The seniors will go to the carriages of each house, and only the freshmen will sit with each other regardless of the house. When passing by the Slytherin carriage, Pomona saw Bella Black again, although the last time they met was already half a year ago.
It was a month ago, but she still lowered her head when passing her, using the smoke from the steam train to hide her figure, and pushed her stroller to the freshmen carriage.
The shopping list sent to Hogwarts stated that she wanted to bring a pet, so when she walked to the carriage, cats of various colors and breeds were walking under people's feet, many of whom were allergic to cats.
People kept sneezing. The first few compartments of the carriage were already crowded with students. These people seemed to know each other, and they were constantly throwing things and playing around. She had to squeeze through the crowd and found one near the back of the carriage.
After the compartment door was closed, she finally got a moment of peace.
"Severus, come on, there's still room here!" Not long after she was cleared, she heard someone shouting. She followed the voice and looked over. It turned out to be Lily Evans, whom she met last time in Diagon Alley.
, with her shouting, Snape, who had a gloomy personality and always had greasy hair, appeared a few seconds later. When his dull black eyes swept across Pomona, she felt like she was suffocating.
, but he obviously didn't recognize her, so he opened his mouth and said slowly, "Is there anyone sitting here?"
"No...no one." Pomona stammered. Then she remembered that when she went out today, she remembered to use magic so that no one could tell that she was a Veela except for her hair.
Due to her bloodline, her wand seemed to have a personality. No matter how she tried to cover up her hair and make it look less elegant, the core of the wand was just Veela's hair.
"Come in, Lily." Snape said. After they all sat down, Snape closed the door of the box. The other people looking for a seat turned and left when they saw what was going on inside. It was finally quiet now.
"Hello, I'm Lily Evans, you are..." Lily, who was sitting opposite her, reached out her hand first.
"Pomona Martin." She extended her hand and shook Lily's hand.
"Pomona?" Lily exclaimed.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" She deliberately pretended to be stupid, because Snape's face became darker the moment he heard the name.
"Nothing." Lily stuck out her tongue, "It's just that you have the same name as a friend I know."
Pomona didn't think that people who only met once could be called friends. She glanced at Snape secretly. He obviously had no intention of introducing himself or shaking hands. The sunlight dimmed as he passed by him.
"His name is Severus Snape."
"Hello." Pomona greeted her in a voice not much louder than a mosquito, but Snape crossed his arms and looked at her with wary eyes.
"That's just him. He doesn't like to talk. Don't mind." Lily was so happy that her eyes turned into two crescents. "Why are you alone?"
"My relative is in the car in front. He is in fifth grade this year."
"Oh, which college is he in?"
"Hufflepuff."
A "bad" expression flashed across Lily's face.
Pomona looked at Snape, who had a sarcastic smile on his face. It was obvious that he was also prejudiced against Hufflepuff, and he instilled this prejudice into Lily.
"The food at the welcome party will be traditional dishes provided by Hufflepuff. You will be in for a surprise then."
"Surprising, is this what you expected from Hogwarts?"
Snape made people feel depressed as soon as he opened his mouth. What's wrong with liking food?
"You can't live without food, even dementors need to eat food."
"Dementor?" Lily heard another new term.
"A terrifying magical creature that will suck away all your happiness and hope, which is their food."
"How could there be such terrible creatures? Why not destroy them?"
"There must be a reason for their existence. Hogwarts is the safest. As long as they stay in school, they won't dare to attack anyone."
"You seem to like scaring people very much." Snape said proudly with an expression like "I have understood everything about you." "Other people are more scared than you, so you feel safe, right?"
"If you don't say anything, I will be very grateful to you." Pomona said angrily. She has never met such an annoying person in her whole life. He is like a dementor, making people feel uncomfortable.
Not even the slightest enthusiasm.
"I dare say that I must be the worst student in the class." Lily said worriedly, "I don't know a lot of things you said."
"No, Lily, there are many students from Muggle families. As long as you work hard, you can learn faster than those from pure-blood families." Pomona comforted her, but Snape seemed unaware of his companion's worries.
Still didn't say a word.
While they were talking, the train started. With the engine rumbling loudly, the train left London and flew along fields full of cattle and sheep. The noisy carriage gradually became quiet.
Faced with two people with completely different personalities, Pomona felt at a loss and didn't know what to talk about. However, Lily Evans and Severus Snape took out their textbooks as if they had a tacit understanding and began to read quietly.
Yes, Pomona met the legendary good student who could preview textbooks. She never thought about bringing a book with her to pass the time on the express. It seemed that she had nothing else to do except sleep.
The train departed at eleven o'clock. At about half past twelve, there was a loud noise in the corridor. A thin, old-looking woman with silver hair held a cigarette in her mouth, pushed open the compartment door and asked
, asked loudly, "Want to buy something to eat?"
"No, thank you." Snape was closest to the door and said expressionlessly.
"Are you sure? We still have seven hours until school."
"My mother said, don't buy anything from anyone who looks suspicious." Snape's tone became more sinister.
Lily obviously wanted to say something and was fidgeting anxiously. Pomona understood her mood because she heard Lily's stomach scream.
"No, we brought our own food." Pomona took out a picnic basket, and before the old woman could say anything, Snape closed the door with a bang.
Then, he continued to immerse himself in reading as if nothing had happened. Pomona and Lily looked at each other at the same time, and it just so happened that Lily's stomach started to growl again.
"I'm so sorry. We set off in a hurry this morning and I didn't eat anything."
"Don't worry, I made a lot of food, enough for us to eat together." She said as she opened the magic picnic basket and placed grilled chicken, sandwiches, tiramisu, orange juice and salad on the empty seat next to her.
"Wow, how can this basket hold so many things?" Lily was shocked when she looked at the delicacies placed on the seat.
"This is magic, magical, right?" Pomona said proudly, then turned to look at Snape, "Do you want to join us? I made it for four people."
Snape turned around and continued reading with his back to them.
"Severus!" Lily was angry, but Snape remained unmoved.
wack.
Pomona didn't know why this person didn't like receiving kindness from others so much, but she didn't bother to pay attention to him. In comparison, she liked Lily Evans more. She was really a good girl.
