29. Traits
Although her mother opposed their adventure, Duoya still insisted on learning hunting skills with her father.
Under the guidance of her father, Duoya became a good hunter at a young age. She possesses agility and combat power that surpass those of her peers. These are the results of her years of fighting against wild beasts.
On the day Duoya came of age, her father went to the mountains to hunt alone in order to give her a coming-of-age gift. Unfortunately, he encountered a wild beast riot, and Duoya's father died in an attack by a pack of wolves.
Duoya finally received her coming-of-age gift—a snow-white young ferret, which was sent to her by the villagers who found her father’s body.]
…
…
That's right, it's still exactly the same as in memory...
Su You read the information about these three NPCs several times and finally came to this conclusion.
Since it was the same as before, Su You naturally analyzed and selected the first special NPC he wanted to recruit according to the previous thinking.
…
Although the names of these three NPCs are similar, they are actually NPCs with independent backgrounds and are not related in any way. As for why the names are so similar, players in the past had various speculations about this.
Although Su You didn't care much about the name, she vaguely thought of a possibility... She thought it might just be because the officials were too lazy to name it.
Although this guess is a bit outrageous, it is not impossible.
But now it seems that this digital world is too lazy to give names, so there are three names like Duolin, Duomi, and Duoya, who are like biological brothers and sisters.
Regardless of the name, based on the analysis of the available information, the first thing is age.
The age here is not a number, but youth, youth, followed by middle age and old age.
Different ages affect the results of the daily behaviors of these NPCs. For example, young people are more likely to be impatient, not experienced in the world, and unable to deal with problems by themselves, while middle-aged and elderly NPCs do not have these problems.
However, middle-aged and elderly NPCs will have limited physical conditions due to their age, and they will be more likely to get tired, and they will also be more likely to contract negative states under special circumstances.
Teenagers do not have this problem. They are young and strong, have strong mobility, abundant physical strength, and are very energetic in everything they do.
Of course, the above are relatively general and involve age differences.
Whether it is Sunset Continent or this digital world, the degree of freedom is very high, and any situation is possible.
Second is loyalty.
If talent is the data used to judge whether an NPC is useful, then loyalty is the data used to judge whether an NPC is useful.
No matter how awesome an NPC is, possessing all the talents in one body, and possessing both civil and military skills, if he is not loyal enough to the players, then such a person cannot be retained.
Staying here is definitely a hidden danger.
And because he is very powerful, he is still a very dangerous hidden danger.
Under normal circumstances, the minimum loyalty of the NPCs appearing in the recruitment list is 60, which is a passing mark. At least reaching this number proves that the NPC will listen to Su You and will carry out Su You's orders as long as they are reasonable.
Loyalty is not static, it can increase or decrease, and the same goes for favorability.
Loyalty and goodwill may seem similar, but in fact they are very different.
Give an easy-to-understand example:
The same thing happens when an NPC is asked to chop down trees and collect wood. There are different words for different situations.
Targeted at NPCs with high loyalty and low favorability.
Player: 'We need a batch of wood to build the territory. With this batch of wood, all aspects of our territory will be better. I believe you are a very capable person and have the ability to make this contribution to the territory.'
Targeted at NPCs with low loyalty and high favorability.
Player: 'Friend, I need a batch of wood to make something, but I've been busy recently and can't get away, so I hope you can help me collect some wood... You agreed? Thank you so much!'
Loyalty is loyalty to the entire territory.
Favorability refers to the goodwill towards the player himself.
Except, goodwill is actually not just goodwill, but 'loyalty' to the player himself.
Although it may seem complicated, in fact, as long as it is not a weird NPC, or as long as the player is a normal person, these two data are not difficult to improve, so it is not a particularly big problem.
Then there's talent.
Talent is the literal meaning. The higher the talent value, the less time it takes for this NPC to master relevant skills, the faster the proficiency is improved, and the stronger the ability to innovate. Therefore, the higher the talent value, the better.
Under normal circumstances, talent is determined at birth and cannot be improved later in life.
In the NPC information interface, only talents with a value greater than 50 will be displayed. If it is lower than 50, it falls within the range of ordinary people. In a lifetime, it can only be upgraded to the intermediate level of the talent skill, so there is no need to display it.
Corresponding to talents are skills.
The three NPCs all have two cultivable talents. Among the existing skills, only Duoya has two skills, and one of the skills is still at a bottleneck. As long as she is willing to spend resources to cultivate it, she can quickly break through to possess it.
A combat NPC with an intermediate bow and arrow.
NPCs cannot see these data, so they do not know what their talents are, and they cannot learn related skills based on their talents.
Just like Duomi, her greatest talent is obviously cooking, but she only has rudimentary sewing skills.
Su You recruits special NPCs for their skills, so just because Duomi's talents and skills don't match, Su You won't choose her.
She doesn't have a ready-made cook who can teach Duomi how to cook, so what Suyou needs is an NPC with matching skills and talents.
What's more, Domi also has the trait of being "solitary"...
Traits can be understood as the personality characteristics of an NPC. Generally, the traits of an NPC are related to his experience.
For example, Duolin was praised for his talent as a carpenter, so he had an arrogant personality and gradually developed in the direction of "hurting Zhongyong".
There are also Duomi and Duoya. One does not like to communicate with strangers because he was bullied since he was a child, so he has a "sociable" character; the other has a certain "shadow" because of his father's death...
These are closely related to their stories.
There are good and bad traits, but they are generally divided into three colors. Generally, NPCs will have a red bad trait and a green good trait, or only a blue trait, which is neither good nor bad.
Seriousness, inspiration, courage, and agility are all good traits, as can be seen from the introduction.
