Chapter 17 Aunt

He Shu’s home is on the third floor. For the first time, he felt that the third floor was so high.

I looked down at the antipyretic medicine that had been sealed in my hand. It turned out that I had a fever, no wonder I didn’t have much strength this afternoon.

My palms were swollen. I washed too much yesterday and I covered them with gloves for another day today.

The anti-inflammatory drugs I gave myself in the morning didn't seem to work...

While thinking about diverting his physical discomfort, He Shu slowly moved his legs while holding the rusty handrail.

When I arrived at the third floor and was a few steps away, a large suitcase appeared in front of me.

He Shu looked up and stood at the door of his house with short hair with his ears. When he saw the woman's face clearly, He Shu was in a daze.

All kinds of thoughts hit his brain, He Shu tried hard to open his eyes, but his vision became blurry.

"mom?"

......

Qi Xue looked at the poor room in front of her and her eyes finally fell on Qi Yue's urn.

In the photo placed in front of the urn, my sister's smile was still gentle.

See you many years later, but unexpectedly, the yin and yang are separated by each other.

Wiping the tears from the corners of his eyes, Qi Xue reached out to stroke Qi Yue's urn, wanting to ask her sister if she regretted it, but in the end it only turned into a heavy sigh.

Walk to the kitchen and turn on the lights. The kitchen is clean enough to reflect.

Except for half a pack of noodles and a little rice, there is no other ingredients.

There were a lot of things hanging on the balcony. Qi Xue touched them, the bed sheets and clothes were dry, and she raised her hand to help put them away.

In the bathroom, it is also clean enough that every piece of ceramic tiles is spotless.

There are two large basins on top of an old washing machine in the corner.

This is my sister's home, the home that she had to stick to without hesitation...

Qi Xue returned to He Shu's bedroom, and her nephew who had first met was so sick that she had not had time to recognize each other.

She reached out and touched He Shu's neck. It was still very hot and she didn't sweat.

He got up and went to boil some hot water to mix it. Qi Xue helped He Shu wipe his neck, then helped him up and took off his shirt.

Looking at his nephew's ribs, Qi Xue felt uncomfortable and used a wet towel to help him wipe his body and dissipate heat.

"Mom?" He Shu felt someone holding him. He tried hard to open his eyes, and his mother's face appeared in front of him again.

"Well, go to bed, just have a sleep."

He Shu obediently closed his eyes. He felt that he was dreaming. If it was really a dream, he would not want to wake up.

Qi Xue sat beside the bed and hugged He Shu, rubbing his armpits and neck over and over again.

When I raised my arm, I found blood scabs and scratches on He Shu's elbows.

Qi Xue put down the towel and began to check carefully. Only after this inspection did she find that there were not only scratches on her face.

There are injuries and bruises on the elbows, palms, and knees, and there is a very large part of the back.

The palms and knees may have fallen by themselves, so how did the one on the back come from?

That night, Qi Xue didn't close her eyes all night, and wiped He Shu from time to time, and woke him up at around 9 o'clock and fed him the medicine.

By around 11 o'clock at night, He Shu was sweating all over and wet the bed sheets and pillows under him.

However, Qi Xue was relieved and sweating, she was almost healed.

He Shu occasionally opened his eyes and called her mother, but she agreed, and then sat by the bed and stayed with him all night.

The next day, the alarm clock rang, and He Shu opened his eyes and sat up, feeling much more relaxed.

He turned his head and saw medicine on the bedside table, water cup and thermometer. After a while, he suddenly jumped out of bed and ran to the living room barefoot.

A sound came from the kitchen, and He Shu felt his heart beating faster and faster.

He walked to the kitchen door and saw a woman who looked very similar to her mother, concentrating on making porridge. She was wearing her mother's apron.

It was really similar, but He Shu knew clearly that this was not his mother.

He opened his mouth and after a long time he made a voice: "Who are you?"

"Silly boy, I can't even guess this? My name is Qi Xue, it's your aunt!"

"Auntie?"

"Don't you believe it? Don't I look like your mother?" Qi Xue turned her head and smiled at He Shu.

"Like." He Shu's throat tightened, and he couldn't hide his disappointment. He thought his mother had come back to life: "But my mother never said it."

"Hey, that happened many years ago. You were not born yet. Your mother and your grandparents... were a bit misunderstanding and couldn't explain it clearly after a few words. You kid, don't ask so much. My aunt will tell you slowly in the future."

Qi Xue frowned and kept stirring the rice porridge in the pot, but the smell of it floated up.

"He Shu, your pot is not good enough, just stick it to the bottom."

He Shu hurried over and turned off the fire, and took the pot aside: "There is an electric rice cooker."

I took a spoon and scooped it up and saw that the rice was not fully cooked yet. I really don’t know why the porridge was cooked like this?

Seeing that He Shu was about to pour the porridge into the rice cooker, Qi Xue couldn't help but say, "Don't ask for it anymore, right? It's all messy, so just go to the breakfast shop to eat."

"It's okay, I can still eat it." He Shu added water, cut two pieces of green onion and threw it in, then covered it with a lid and pressed the cooking button.

After such interruption, He Shu's previous messy mood calmed down.

The person in front of him who claimed to be his aunt, He Shu had already believed in her identity. After all, this face would not lie.

However, after so many years, my mother has passed away. I have never heard of her and her sisters and relatives. He Shu thought her mother was an orphan.

"You..." He Shu didn't know how to speak. He remembered that he saw his mother in a daze last night, and her mother hugged him.

Although he knew that the one who hugged him last night might be his aunt, he still felt reluctant to leave that feeling in his heart.

Seeing that He Shu was still barefoot, Qi Xue pushed him back to the room: "Actually, we have seen you when you were 2 years old."

2 years old? He Shu shook his head: "I don't have the impression of that time."

"Then let's deepen your impression?" Qi Xue pointed to Qi Yue's room: "I'm going to live here for a while, He Shu, don't you object?"

He Shu didn't say anything. Even his aunt was just a stranger he had just met.

"If you don't say anything, you agree."

Qi Xue took off her apron: "I see that there is nothing at home, so let's go out for a walk?"

Speaking of this, He Shu suddenly remembered that he had to wash the car today. When he saw that it was about eight o'clock and he was going to be late.

He hurriedly found out his clothes and changed it to wash his face randomly. He Shu stopped when he was about to go out.

"If you want to live, don't touch my mother's things. I have something to do today, and I'll talk about it when I come back."

After saying that, He Shu ran out quickly. He was very confused now. He wanted to stay this aunt who looked very similar to her mother, but he was also a little worried about her.

If he didn't leave quickly, He Shu was afraid that he wouldn't be able to drive her out.

But thinking about the feeling of dreaming last night, He Shu kept brainwashing himself while running.

This is my aunt, she must be my aunt, she will not be a bad person.

I stayed there for a few days, and when I asked my mother about her past, I immediately asked her to leave...
