Extra Episode 5: Past Lives of Su Cen and Mo Heng
When I left, Mo Heng stood at the door of the villa and watched me off.
I sat on the carriage and waved at him vigorously, until the piece of white clothes became smaller and smaller, and finally disappeared completely.
I sat back in the carriage and thought to myself, I don't know if I will ever see him again.
The thought of never seeing her again made me feel inexplicably sad.
What if he runs out of money? He's so picky and I don't know who else is willing to support him.
I was thinking wildly, but soon I had no time to think about these things anymore, because I was kidnapped by the gangsters.
The people who kidnapped me were a group of people dressed as bandits. Although these people were all fierce, they lacked a bit of gangsterism.
They locked me in a room and asked me to write a letter to my father and ask him to redeem me.
If I don’t write, I won’t be given food.
I had to write a letter to my father with tears in my eyes, but I didn't dare to cry.
A group of bandits looked at me pitifully and found it funny, and even deliberately made me cry.
These bad people.
After the letter was written, the bandit leader was finally satisfied and said he would let me go after getting the ransom from my father.
I was locked up and there was nothing in the room except weeds.
I huddled on the weeds, hungry and sleepy. I could only see the faint moonlight shining in from the window. From time to time, there were the sounds of wild beasts, sometimes distant and sometimes near. It was a really long night.
I curled up, wondering when dad would come to save me. With fear and expectation, my eyelids gradually sunk and my vision became increasingly blurry.
I couldn't hold it any longer and fell asleep.
In the middle of the night, I heard the sound of fighting outside, but I was too sleepy to open my eyes.
When I opened my eyes, it was still dark. I was lying on the bed, covered with a quilt.
I realized that this was not my room.
Just as he was about to find out, there were footsteps outside and someone was coming.
I hid behind the door and looked in the direction of the door warily.
Until I saw a familiar figure pushing the door open and coming in, I hesitantly shouted: "Mo Heng?"
Mo Heng turned his head: "Are you awake?"
I was so excited: "Mo Heng, are you here to save me?"
"Well, I figured you were in danger, so I came here."
He said it in an understatement, but I knew how difficult it was, which moved me deeply.
So, I cried.
He teased me: "I'm already in my haircut years, and I'm still crying."
I cried even louder, tears falling from my eyes and I couldn't stop them.
It was like letting out all the worries and fears of the past two days.
He was now panicked and at a loss: "Don't be afraid, this is a farm at the foot of the mountain, not a bandit's den."
I wiped away my tears, sniffed, and said aggrievedly, "It hurts."
He looked at me nervously: "Where does it hurt?"
I lowered my head and said, "My feet hurt."
On the way to escape from the bandits, it was scratched by the stones on the road.
I had been so tight before that I didn't notice it, but now it hurts when I relax.
"Little crybaby, sit on the bed and don't hurt yourself again."
He took off my stockings and looked at the scars on them, some of which were bleeding. He pursed his lips tightly, with a serious face, and patiently applied medicine to me with gentle movements.
Let me have a good rest. I have notified my father and will wait for him to send someone to pick me up.
Two days later, my mother showed up with a sword and a dusty face and took me home.
Mo Heng was also ready to leave.
I asked him: "Can I see you again in the future?"
He thought for a while and answered me seriously: "When you want to see me, just say my name silently ten times, and I will appear."
My eyes lit up: "Really?"
He nodded: "Yeah."
Only then did I realize that his white clothes were already stained with stains.
