Chapter IX The Battle of Guanjianao

On the night of August 20, 1940, the Eighth Route Army (except the 115th Division and Shandong Column) in various parts of North China (except for the 115th Division and Shandong Column) launched an unprecedented raid on the main transportation lines controlled by the Japanese army behind the enemy in North China, that is, the Hundred Regiments War that shocked China and abroad. By early October 1940, the Eighth Route Army's headquarters basically completed the various tasks assigned by the headquarters and achieved great victory in the first two stages of the Hundred Regiments War.

Starting from October 6, 1940, the Japanese mobilized tens of thousands of troops to carry out retaliatory "mopping up" at various anti-Japanese bases in North China.

The Japanese attempted to completely turn the anti-Japanese base into scorched earth through this move to save their miserable defeat and stabilize their shaken morale.

The Okazaki Detachment implemented the three-light policy wherever it went, burning, killing, looting, robbing grains, burning houses, filling wells, smashing farm tools, pots and pans, and using scorched earth policy to prevent the anti-Japanese military and civilians from living in the place of shelter.

In late October, about 500 people from the Okazaki Brigade of the 36th Division of the Japanese Army rushed to Huangyadong Arsenal, which was located in the junction of Liao County, Wuxiang County and Licheng County. It was once praised by Zhu De as the "Pearl of the Palm" of the Eighth Route Army. After receiving the report of the Japanese invasion of Huangyadong Arsenal, Peng Dehuai immediately ordered the 386th Brigade of the 129th Division to rush to Huangyadong to repel the Japanese attack. The Japanese army saw that the Eighth Route Army troops came to help, and then set a fire in the arsenal and fled here.

October 29th afternoon.

Peng Dehuai rushed from Licheng to Shimen Village, Panlong Town, Wuxiang County and decided to take charge of the command personally. Zuo Quan, Liu Bocheng, the commander of the 129th Division, and Deng Xiaoping, political commissar Deng Xiaoping and others also arrived one after another.

Just as the Eighth Route Army was encircling, the Japanese army occupied Guanjiadian overnight. Guanjiadian was located in the heart of the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Area, 13 miles north of Zhuangbi Village, Panlong Town, Wuxiang County.

At this time, Liu Fulin was the captain and Han Yishi was the political commissar, and directly led the special forces. The special forces received instructions to go to Guanjiadian.

"The Japanese have chosen a good place," Han Yishi sighed!

Liu Fulin and Han Yishi looked in front of him.

Guanjiawu is a high hill surrounded by the ridges. The top of the mountain is a flat ground of several hundred meters, which is very suitable for formation. It is located on the north side of the cliff and a deep ditch. The slope on the east and west sides is steep, and the slope on the east and west sides is steep, and only the south slope is relatively gentle, which can be used as an attack route. There were more than 50 families named Guanjiawu on the south slope, and a cave was built along the mountain wall. Opposite to the south slope is a hill called Liushuye, which is higher than Guanjiawu, which is a corner with Guanjiawu. From the willow tree, the small road leading to Guanjiawu can be controlled with firepower. On the flat ground on the top of Guanjiawu, the Japanese army also set up several machine guns. In this way, the Japanese army formed a tight firepower network in Guanjiawu and Liushuye.

At night, deep ditches to the north are acting at the same time.

The 15 people were fully armed, Han Yishi and Luo Xiaojun each carrying a large bundle of ropes on their bodies.

Willow tree trunk.

Liu Fulin took the lead and rushed to the fe

G-g-gun, Li Dayou followed closely behind and led his brothers' troops.

The two sides immediately started a fierce battle and counter-competition at Willow Tree. After two hours of fierce battle, they finally seized Willow Tree Tree.

In ten minutes, Han Yishi and the others had already reached the top of the mountain. Luo Xiaojun was alert and put down the ropes, and people came up one after another. On this side, there was a steep cliff about 20 meters high. At the point where he was about to reach the top of the cliff, there was a slightly protruding trench. It was a slope more than 30 meters long, leading to the frontier positions of the Japanese army at the top of Guanjiawu Mountain. Han Yishi Luo Xiaojun climbed to the trench with his own strength. The team members climbed the tools and wild vines on the cliff to the trench. However, the Japanese army discovered that the Japanese army immediately blocked the slope and captured the slope under the leadership of the two.

Han Yishi and his team stood on the flat ground in Guanjiawu. With Luo Xiaojun as the front row, he picked up the machine gun, Han Yishi responded on the side, and the other members began to massacre.

Although the Japanese suffered a lot of casualties, they did not mean to evacuate and escape. Obviously, they knew that once they evacuated their positions, they would inevitably be divided and encircled by the Eighth Route Army several times their own. They wanted to use the favorable terrain of Guanjiawu to be trapped and wait for assistance.

It was a very difficult fight at one point.

At around 9 a.m. on October 30, several Japanese planes flew over Guanjiadian and began bombing Guanjiadian indiscriminately.

Due to the poor coordination and firepower cooperation of several troops, Liu Shulin, which was once captured by Liu Fulin, was taken back by the Japanese army. Liu Fulin relied on his invulnerability to the sword and gun, and held a machine gun and fought straight to the strafing. Li Dayou beheaded the commander and brought three battalions of troops to counterattack Liu Shulin. He changed positions three times before he wiped out the Japanese army of Liu Shulin.

After a fierce battle on October 30, the Japanese army was wiped out, and 12 team members of Huajin were honorably injured.

"You are not stupid. Being able to resist grenades does not mean you don't avoid grenades!"

"Isn't you there? I won't be in trouble!"

"Not to be an example!"

"yes"

The 385th Brigade of the 129th Division and the 10th Brigade of the Newly-organized Brigade also started on the same day. When more than 2,500 Japanese troops dispatched from Wuxiang and Liao County respectively, they reinforced Guanjiadong.

In addition, thousands of Japanese mobile troops dispatched from Licheng and other places continued to advance towards Guanjiawu.

The battle here ends.

14 people from Han Yishi's army were slightly injured and resolved the battle. Liu Fulin's army suffered heavy casualties.

After discussion at the headquarters, the Eighth Route Army had to retreat. Liu Bocheng played the role of the Japanese on the mountain, and Han Yishi and Liu Fulin led their troops to capture the retreat and pointed their sword at the headquarters.

The Japanese reinforcements were defeated and returned home in a crushing defeat, and a large number of guns and ammunition were seized. A special team member was shot and unconscious in order to save his teammate.

The special forces once again shocked all directions and began to seek advice from many parties and establish special forces from many parties. Luo Xiaojun and Li Dayou served as instructors, and Liu Fulin and Han Yishi were chief instructors.

A total of 3 special forces.

In history, the Guanjiaya battle was the largest offensive battle in the third phase of the Hundred Regiments War in the War of Resistance against Japan from October 30 to 31, 1940. The Eighth Route Army gathered 3 brigades and two regiments, and under the supervision of Deputy Commander-in-Chief Peng Dehuai, more than 500 Japanese troops encircled and annihilated the Japanese Okazaki Brigade. The bloody battle was fought for two days and nights, but it was still unable to achieve complete annihilation. Later, due to the arrival of large Japanese troops, they were forced to withdraw. At the same time, 2,500 Japanese troops dispatched from Wuxiang and Liao County came to Guanjiaya fiercely. The Eighth Route Army could not stop it and had to give up the encirclement of Guanjiaya and retreat far away.

At that time, our army assembled three brigades, and two regiments had a total of 20,000 people besieged 500 people from Okazaki Brigade.

Our army had to choose to retreat after two days and two nights of attack. In addition, the siege of 20,000 people eventually suffered more than 2,000 casualties, and ultimately failed to capture Okazaki's brigade.

The real name of this battle is "Guanjiadian Battle". This battle is one of the largest offensive battles held during the Hundred Regiments War.
