Chapter 2: Crowdfunding

After the opera was sung, the bamboo tents were hurriedly dismantled by the troupe, and the crowd dispersed.

The smoke in the tea frying room has been extinguished, but the tea picking team office next to it is brightly lit.

Everyone in the room was like ants on a hot pot. Zhang Wu was pacing back and forth pulling his hair. The ground was covered with cigarette butts of different lengths.

Sticky, confused.

"Jiang Hao, please tell me your solution."

Zhang Wu stretched out his hand and pointed at Jiang Hao, his eyebrows almost forming a frown.

The backbone of the tea-picking team were all sitting around on long wooden benches with peeling skin. Jiang Hao felt that there were looks of expectation mixed with doubts coming from all around.

"I guess Xiao Yao fled to the provincial capital."

Jiang Hao's affirmative tone made Zhang Wu seem to see the light of day.

Everyone started discussing in low voices.

"Why are you so sure?"

Lao Yu raised his eyebrows and glanced sideways at Jiang Hao.

Jiang Hao remained silent and took out a receipt from his trouser pocket, and Lao Yu eagerly took it.

The receipt with a red and white background clearly says: Fangcun Chajiao Tea Wholesale Store.

Zhang Wu looked over and said, "What about Zhang Ye?"

"On the day Xiao Yao came to sign the contract, it leaked out of his trouser pocket. I thought there was something wrong with him, so I kept the receipt, so I guessed he was hiding in the provincial capital."

Lao Yu snorted coldly and said, "Just relying on a receipt is a bit of a joke, isn't it?"

"Chajiao Street in Fangcun is the place with the most tea manufacturing plants in the provincial capital. Since he wants to deceive people, there will naturally be more opportunities there. This receipt just proves this."

Jiang Hao had heard storytellers describe the grand occasion of Fangcun Tea Festival, the flower resort, the largest Fangcun Passenger Terminal, and the many tea factories... thinking about it still makes him yearn for it.

Zhang Wu was about to speak when noisy sounds came from outside.

"Lao Zhang, come out! Pay your wages! Get out!"

The onlookers in the room couldn't sit still and walked out one after another.

"Who the hell leaked the news! It's really a bad thing that spreads thousands of miles."

Zhang Wu jumped out and wanted to go out, but was held back by Lao Yu.

"You hide in the room and I'll take care of it."

Zhang Wu shook off Lao Yu's hand and said righteously: "Why hide? Now that we are here, how can we

Just how big it is, siu mai is siu mai!”

Jiang Hao followed him, picked up the account book on the table and walked out.

Dozens of people stood in the open space in Wuyangyang, while drizzle fell from the mountains, mixed with the bleak cold wind of early spring.

"Can Jiying, do you want to rebel?"

Zhang Wu saw that the leader of the tea-picking team was Liu Ying, a well-known shrew in the tea-picking team, and he roared, and the noise below suddenly disappeared.

Can Jiying rolled his eyes and scanned the expressions of the people around him.

Zhang Wu walked up to him and said boldly: "Others said that the middleman ran away with the money, and the wages were not paid after the goods were delivered. Are you planning to abscond overnight?"

"That's right, we can't run away. What will we eat if we run away?" Someone at the bottom echoed.

Everyone's eyes were as bright as fire, as if they wanted to tie Zhang Wu up.

"If I really want to run away, will I still hold the meeting here? Can you use your brain?"

Zhang Wu spat on the ground and argued with the shrew, which was bad luck.

"Then you should pay our wages first." Liu Ying put her hands on her hips, as if fighting to the death.

Seeing the turbulent mood, Jiang Hao picked up the stool next to him and stepped on it.

I saw him waving his hands lightly to signal everyone. "Everyone, be quiet and listen to me!"

"Xiao Hao, why are you standing so high? Come down quickly." Aunt Su from the canteen of the tea-picking team saw this and wanted to pull him down.

"Aunt Su, let me say a few words."

The drizzle sprinkled on everyone's face, and pairs of eyes looked at Jiang Hao with misty eyes.

The solemnity was mixed with hope, as if it was the last straw.

Jiang Hao opened the account book in his hand and held it up in front of everyone.

It is full of dense numbers and pages of accounting tables.

"The tea-picking team is the only livelihood in the village. If we cancel the contract system later and implement household-based responsibility, we will inevitably worry about the sales of camellia. Captain Zhang has been thinking of ways to solve this problem. This account book shows the number of pickings and sales last year.

Record, without Captain Zhang, we have no way out at all. This time it is true that the middleman took the money and ran away, but this was an accident. Give us some time to solve it, at least not to cause trouble."

Lao Yu held his cigarette in his mouth and puffed hard, but he choked a few times, and the sound of coughing broke the tension.

"Lao Yu, why are you everywhere?" someone yelled from below.

"Okay, okay, let's get down to business. What's the solution to this problem? If we want to live, we have to pay wages, right?"

Liu Ying was rarely able to catch a chicken feather and use it as an arrow, so naturally he would not let it go easily.

"I won't owe you a cent of salary. As long as I find Xiao Yao, I promise to pay it to everyone immediately!"

Zhang Wu's angry response destroyed half of Liu Ying's arrogance.

"Captain Zhang pays his salary normally every month. This matter is on the line. We can't just care about our own one-third of an acre. Besides, I know how to find Xiao Yao."

Jiang Hao's gentle words shocked the world.

"Now that you know where he is, let's go and bring him back together!"

Xiao Li encouraged him passionately, wanting to pick up the guy and run away.

Jiang Hao looked at the bewildered expressions of everyone, and another thought came to his mind.

"I guess he went to Fangcun Chajiao, but we don't have a car to go to the provincial capital, and it's impossible to go alone. If a group of people goes there, the travel expenses... may have to be helped by everyone."

Zhang Wu looked at Jiang Hao's embarrassed look, turned around and took out a stack of things wrapped in newspapers from the room.

"Take it!" Zhang Wu stuffed the stack of money into Jiang Hao's hand.

Everyone looked at each other, looking left and right.

"Why are you nervous? All the travel expenses will be used to find Xiao Yao. As long as we find him, the money will be returned to everyone. Now the tea picking team has advanced a lot in order to catch this batch of goods. There is really no way. Can Xiaobei Village survive?

It’s up to everyone.”

Jiang Hao looked at the dark face underneath with a confused expression, and it was both a promise and a request.

Lao Yu groaned a few times and took out the yellow cloth bag from his pocket. He put his fingers into his mouth and wiped some saliva. He counted the money carefully one by one. He took out a small stack and opened and closed his eyes.

Passed it to Jiang Hao.

"Hey, Lao Yu, if you are so happy, you are not afraid that the tigress in your house will rip your ears off if she finds out."

Lao Yu's nemesis Li Yang shouted from below, Lao Yu's face turned white and red.

"I want to seize your mother. In this catastrophic situation, everyone should be obliged to do it. You have to spend so much money on me and then laugh at me."

Lao Yu said angrily.

"Jiang Hao has always done things safely. We trust you and I will chip in."

"I'll get one too!"

"I'll join in too!"

...

"Xiao Li, please register it and return it to everyone later."

Li Yang and the fellow villagers took out the remaining money in their pockets, and Xiao Li hurriedly set out the table and registered one by one.

Although the night is slightly cool, a few birds are circling in the faint light of the mountain village, and the stars are shining brightly, illuminating this lively Xiaobei Village.

Jiang Hao was counting his travel expenses when he saw a group of people arriving in a hurry at the entrance of the village, making an unusual commotion and making a huge noise.
