The main function of the gallbladder is to store and excrete bile, and participate in the digestion of food. Our stomach and gallbladder are connected, and the proper work of the stomach is determined by the gallbladder.

The bladder stores urine. Our bladder determines our urination function, expelling excess water from the body. If our bladder is inflamed, it will cause swelling and frequent urination.

Food enters the mouth, enters the stomach through the esophagus, undergoes decomposition in the stomach, and travels down to the small intestine. The small intestine separates the clear and turbid substances. The small intestine symbolizes the official who holds things. It separates the rotten food from the stomach, infiltrates the liquid into the bladder for storage, and transfers the dregs to the large intestine for "transformation". The essence is absorbed by itself and transported throughout the body.

Later, some people summarized this as six desires: "the desire to see, the desire to hear, the desire to smell, the desire to taste, the desire to touch, and the desire to think."

The seven emotions cause diseases and damage the internal organs, mainly affecting the Qi movement of the organs, causing the Qi movement of the organs to rise and fall abnormally, and the movement of Qi and blood to be disordered. Different modal stimuli have different effects on the Qi movement.

Fear causes qi to lower, which means excessive fear can cause kidney qi to become unstable and qi to leak down, leading to clinical incontinence of the feces and feces; or fear that cannot be understood can damage the essence, causing bone acidity, impotence, and spermatorrhea.

Jing leads to confusion of energy, which refers to being suddenly frightened, causing the mind to be helpless, the mind to be nowhere to be, the worries to be unsteady, and panic.

Thinking leads to qi stagnation, which means that excessive thinking can strain the mind and damage the spleen, which can lead to stagnation of qi.
