Chapter 56 Preaching and Teaching (Part 1) (Please follow up)
Winter turns to spring, and in a blink of an eye it’s spring of the next year.
After several months of experience and observation, except for a few children who were found to have psychological problems early and were sent down the mountain, the remaining forty novice monks and forty-five lay disciples have adapted to the boring life of Baozhu Temple, where they work and chant scriptures all day long.
Life.
After the New Year, Zheng Gui gave a lecture on Buddhism to the disciples in the temple in the Main Hall. He also observed the mind, perseverance and understanding of the disciples during the lecture, and selected more than 20 in his heart who either had good character, perseverance and strong understanding, or had good understanding.
Disciples of Hui Gen, plan to focus on training them in the future.
On the early morning of the 15th day of the first lunar month, before morning lessons were done, the bell tower of Baozhu Temple rang nine bells in succession. This was the sound to summon the disciples. All the disciples knew that it was their master who presided over Zen Master Ding to teach everyone the martial arts of the Hengshan School.
All the novice monks and young men rushed to the martial arts field behind the Mahavira Hall with great interest and lined up.
Zheng Gui stood in front of the martial arts arena, wearing a khaki monk's robe, a cassock, a monk's hat, and a neatly trimmed beard.
Even though he is only twenty-six or seventeen years old, he looks like a highly accomplished monk with a strong posture and a majestic appearance.
Looking around, he saw not only his forty-one disciples who had entered the room, led by Yi Guang, but also none of the lay disciples were left behind. Even the Taoist Taoist priests were standing at the very back.
More than 90% of the more than 100 people were children around ten years old, the youngest was seven or eight years old, and the eldest were the two fire masters of Xiangji Kitchen, both in their thirties and forties, and everyone was
He clasped his hands respectfully and looked at Zheng Gui with reverence and expectation.
Zheng Gui held the rosary given by Master Dingxian in his hand, moved it, looked at Yiguang and said, "Are all the disciples in the temple here?"
Yiguang was silently checking just now. Hearing the words, he bowed and said: "Master, forty-one monk disciples, forty-five lay disciples, and twenty-three firework disciples of this temple are all in place."
Zheng Gui reached out and touched the three-inch-long beard on his chin and said: "We at Hengshan Baozhu Temple belong to the lineage of monks and monks of the Hengshan sect. You are also disciples of the Hengshan sect. You have been taught the rules and precepts when you entered.
However, I won’t say much more. I have summoned you all here today to pass on the introductory martial arts of our Hengshan Sect.
Although the disciples of Pyrotechnics are not my disciples, they still need to practice hard to keep fit and live longer in the future. If they work diligently, I will also select those with outstanding perseverance to be my direct disciples.
Monks and lay disciples must practice martial arts diligently. In the future, I will send Yiguang to inspect your martial arts every few months. Anyone who is slacking off and lazy will be punished severely.
Those who were expelled from the monastery..."
When Zheng Gui spoke, he had already used the internal skills passed down from the Hengshan sect. Although his voice was not loud, it was clearly heard in the ears of the hundreds of disciples in the martial arts arena. Everyone listened as if the abbot was speaking softly in their ears.
The disciples bowed and agreed, and although their voices seemed chaotic, they shook the leaves not far away and caused patches of snow to fall.
Zheng Gui took off his cassock and began to practice the Hengshan School's introductory boxing techniques, grappling hands, leg techniques, footwork, etc.
Although the four or five introductory martial arts are not very profound and profound, they have been tested for hundreds of years and dozens of generations have eliminated the waste and retained the essence. They are much more sophisticated than the fist, kick, and grappling skills spread in the world.
Zheng Gui became very familiar with it. He practiced it several times. He also explained the name of each set of martial arts moves, the technique of exerting energy and the joints involved. Then he asked his disciples to practice the horse stance technique and the exhalation technique.
It was not difficult to master the horse steps in conjunction with breathing. The only difficulty was to persevere. After two hours, the disciples had mastered the stance technique, breathing and boxing skills.
At this time, it was three o'clock in the morning, and everyone was already hungry. Zheng Gui ordered his firework disciples to get all the dry food and tea, and everyone sat around to eat together, and then continued to practice boxing.
At the beginning of cultivation, all disciples were limited by their different qualifications such as memory and comprehension, and their cultivation progress was also different.
Zheng Gui, Yi Guang, Ning Zhengduan, and Ning Zhengli pointed the disciples one by one, corrected their movements tirelessly, and repeatedly talked about various tricks and joints. Until the sun set in the west, the disciples were more or less
A few have learned one or two martial arts, and they are still very unfamiliar.
In the late winter and early spring, the weather in Tongyuan Valley was still freezing, but all the disciples were wearing single clothes, their faces were red from practicing, and some even used their sleeves to wipe sweat from time to time.
Zheng Gui knew that these disciples basically had no foundation, and they should not practice martial arts excessively, so as not to hurt their bodies, so he ordered that the teaching of martial arts should end today, and at the same time, he asked the pyrotechnics disciples to light a fire and cook, so that they could have a good meal for everyone.
Supplement nutrition before returning to the wing to chant sutras and rest.
Half an hour later, a large pot of cabbage, tofu, gluten stew and steamed buns were ready. Zheng Gui also had a hot meal with his disciples at Xiangji Kitchen.
Returning to the abbot's room directly north of the martial arts arena, Zheng Gui sighed lightly and felt quite tired.
Zheng Gui has been practicing martial arts from the Hengshan sect for more than ten years. His internal strength can be said to be profound, and his external strength is also very exquisite. After Xiong Yaojin achieved great success, his body became even more majestic and powerful. His fatigue was not physical, but the teachings.
The disciple is mentally exhausted after a whole day.
Taking a deep breath, Zheng Gui first entered meditation and practiced for two hours. After finishing the practice, he looked at the Samsara Pearl with the Buddha's light dimming in the sea of consciousness, and thought:
In the past six months, due to the heavy workload in the temple, I have really slacked off in reading scriptures and practicing Dharma. If I continue to be a believer all day long, within three months, the Samsara Pearl will no longer have the light of the Buddha, and by then I will return to this world...
Zheng Gui knew that the world he returned to was a world of super martial arts and even fantasy. The little Taoism he practiced now was nothing at all. Moreover, his true body may not be able to fully obtain this skill, so he was never willing to return just like that.
Zheng Gui frowned slightly when he thought about how it took three or four days to teach these disciples the basic martial arts of the sect.
After the disciples have mastered the fist and kick skills, they have to teach them the Hengshan Mental Technique. This internal skill and mental technique cannot be careless, and must be taught one by one.
Only then did Zheng Gui feel more and more how correct his decision was in accepting Yi Guang as his disciple and training Yi Guang, Ning Zhengduan and Ning Zhengli in advance.
Yiguang has a good foundation in side martial arts. After cutting off the roots of worries, he practiced Hengshan martial arts with twice the result with half the effort. Although he has only been around for half a year, he has already mastered the basic martial arts of Hengshan, and even learned the Ten Thousand Flowers Sword Technique.
For the most part, he is naturally a good assistant who can help Zheng Gui teach his juniors.
There is also Ning Zhengduan and Ning Zhengli who have already developed a sense of energy. Hengshan Sword Technique has long been mastered, and other basic martial arts are not a problem. Even if they are not good at teaching, they only need to use the martial arts for the junior disciples to watch.
It can save Zheng Gui a lot of hard work.
Zheng Gui secretly decided to teach his disciples from now on. Not only should Yi Guang take more responsibility, but he should also focus on cultivating the second disciple Yi Ming, the third disciple Yizheng, the fourth disciple Yi Da, the fifth disciple Yi Fa, and the sixth disciple Yi Ping.
Now, it is estimated that the more qualified disciples will be able to help other junior disciples within a year or two at most, and the master himself will be able to relax a lot.
