Chapter 262 Deep Mountains and Valleys

Author: Daoshu

Barren mountains and wilderness, quiet woods and deep valleys.

Such a deserted and remote place is naturally inaccessible.

It is precisely because of this that the quiet valley is full of natural and wild atmosphere, with lush vegetation, free birds and animals, and no disturbance from the outside world.

Tall trees rush from the bottom of the valley to the mouth of the valley, like natural parasols, blocking most of the sunlight, leaving only a few mottled light spots.

In this free kingdom, animals are the masters and the highest superiors, and everything here belongs to them.

As the saying goes, if there are no tigers in the mountains, monkeys are the kings.

This valley is secluded and narrow, and there are obviously no tigers. Naturally, monkeys have become the boss here.

Whether it is tall trees, low shrubs, or even rocks on the mountain wall, you can see the figures of these mountain kings.

Usually, whenever some wind and grass disturb them, the entire canyon will be filled with that shrill and strange cry.

But today, these mountain kings were uncharacteristically uncharacteristic. Not only did they remain silent, they also patrolled the canyon in an orderly manner, as if they had received orders and were searching intensively for something.

If you look carefully, you can detect some clues.

It turned out that at the highest point of the valley, there was a monkey king who was arrogantly commanding the monkeys in the valley, ordering them to perform their respective duties and strictly observe order.

The Monkey King is also very different. His body is covered with gold threads and has no mottled colors. He wears a hugger and a square scarf on his head. His thin monkey face has strange facial makeup painted on it, making him look like a martial artist.

The majestic Monkey King is like the Monkey King in the storybook, with a pair of golden eyes scanning the whole situation, taking in all the details in the valley.

Not long after, sharp roars came from the valley, and a group of monkeys gathered together to send a signal to the monkey king at the top of the valley.

The Wusheng Monkey King has sharp eyes, and his strong legs suddenly flicked, and his petite body rushed out like a sharp arrow, and then flew up again with the help of flexible branches, jumping up and down in the lush woods.

When he was young, the monkey king dressed as a martial artist accurately fell into the group of monkeys.

When the Monkey King arrives, the wild monkeys in the valley all make way to welcome the King.

"Zhizhizhi——"

Accompanied by a sharp monkey cry, a long-haired wild monkey sprang out from the group of monkeys, holding a simple book in its arms.

Just looking at the appearance, no one could tell the value of this scroll, but after seeing the scroll, the monkey king's eyes glowed with golden light.

It couldn't wait to fly forward, snatched the book from the wild monkey's arms, and then flew into the dense forest, jumped and disappeared without a trace.

Also in the valley, compared to the dense grass and dense forests in the deepest part, the outer part is relatively flat and spacious.

The valley as a whole is like a funnel, becoming narrower as you go inward.

In this relatively open central sparse forest, a tall and slender figure in white stands quietly in front of a deserted tomb.

The tomb was extremely simple. Apart from the raised mound, there were no stone tablets and no tributes. It was really desolate.

Just at this moment, an exciting and strange scream came from deep in the valley.

Then came the "Wu Sheng Monkey King" wearing a robe and scarf and flower-covered gold threads.

The monkey king held the scroll in his right arm, used his left arm and his legs, and rushed out of the deep valley quickly, running towards the man in white without stopping.

After running for dozens of steps, the Wusheng Monkey King took off with all his strength, leaped over the graveyard in front of him, and landed firmly on the shoulders of the man in white.

The Monkey King raised the scroll with both hands and handed it to the man in white respectfully. His shrewd eyes were full of eagerness, like a cute pet waiting for praise from its master. It was very different from the majestic appearance of commanding the crowd before.

The man in white took the scroll from the Monkey King and began to read it as if no one else was watching.

Although the cover of the scroll is plain and simple, the pages inside are made of black gold threads, which will not get wet when exposed to water and will not burn when exposed to fire.

Although the volume is thick, it does not contain much content. Except for the general preface written in oracle bones at the beginning, there are only seven human figures at the end.

None of the postures in these seven pictures are facing each other, and they are guided by various symbols such as red dots and arrows, which seem to be describing some kind of cultivation method.

Those who are not familiar with its meaning should not practice it. If you force your inner energy to activate according to some of the symbols, your energy and blood will immediately boil, and you will become obsessed with it, which is extremely dangerous.

Such a mysterious book is certainly not an ordinary thing.

It is the "Secret of Immortality" that even the Sui Dynasty Emperor Yang Guang couldn't get, and it is one of the four great wonders in the world.

This book is the supreme treasure of Taoism. Legend has it that it was written by Guangchengzi, the teacher of the ancient Yellow Emperor, in oracle bone inscriptions. It records the supreme secret method of Taoist Qi training and health preservation.

As the name of the book suggests, if someone can thoroughly understand "The Secret of Immortality", they will most likely follow in the footsteps of Master Guangcheng and become immortals.

The Secret of Immortality is very famous, and everyone in the martial arts world knows it, but there are really only a handful of people who have actually read this book.

And the man in white who is reading the Secret of Immortality is none other than the one who is living the deep sorrow of the fourth life.

It's just that this reincarnation is different from the first three times.

The previous rebirths were all soul reincarnations. Not only did the physical body need to grow from childhood to adulthood, but martial arts also had to be practiced all over again.

But this time, his soul and body were actually reincarnated together, and his martial arts skills were inherited without reservation.

According to Shen Youzhi's guess, this is probably because his physical body has entered the extraordinary realm and can withstand the impact of time and space travel to a certain extent.

After a whole life since his divine will became extraordinary, Shen Youzhi finally realized his extraordinary physical body.

This also means that he is only one step away from the true path to immortality - the extraordinary Qi species.

And this is not only the fourth goal set by the Armillary Sphere for him, but also the reason why he appears in this valley.

Since he is not completely reborn, the first time he wakes up is to find a way to confirm the time and space he is in.

When he learned that Emperor Yang Guang was in Yangzhou, heroes from all over the country were rising up, and the world was falling apart, he guessed most of it.

Later, I heard that there were "three great masters" in the world, and Shen Youzhi completely determined the current time and space - The Legend of Double Dragons of the Tang Dynasty.

There is no doubt that every time the armillary sphere takes itself through time and space, it is not random, but highly consistent with the goals it has set.

The fourth goal is to achieve extraordinary Qi, and the cultivation method in the Legend of Two Dragons of the Tang Dynasty is based on "Innate Qi".

The practice concepts in this world are deeply influenced by Taoism, and its martial arts realm can be roughly divided into four levels:

The first level is the realm of heaven after refining Qi.

The second level is the innate realm of refining Qi and transforming into God.

The third level is the realm of heaven and man in refining the gods and returning to the void.

The fourth level, the Shattered Void of Refining the Void and Hedao

Looking at the world, there are very few people in the world who can cultivate to the innate realm, and those who can reach the realm of gods and humans are all famous masters and great masters, who can already rely on the natural power of heaven and earth.

As for the final Shattered Void realm, in the entire "The Legend of Two Dragons of the Tang Dynasty", perhaps only the mysterious "Evil Emperor" Xiang Yutian who has lived for more than two hundred years has truly achieved it.

No wonder this stage is called the lowest period of martial arts.

But it was precisely during this period that the four world-famous books appeared together.

"Heavenly Demonic Strategy", "Secret of Immortality", "Cihang Sword Code", and "Illustrated Book of the God of War" all show their traces either overtly or covertly.

This has to be said to be a kind of luck, at least for Shen Youzhi.

For him, what he needs most at the moment is naturally the "Secret of Immortality" written by the legendary Immortal Master Guangchengzi, but the most valuable thing is the method of cultivating demons in the heart of the Taoist mind recorded in "Tian Mo Ce".
