Chapter 3 Can you be my teacher?(1/2)

Author: Nan Ruoruo

Yan Shinan lay down on the sofa angrily.

Li Mianmian looked back at him, suddenly stretched out her hand and pushed the thermos cup towards him, then turned her head and continued to drink her glass of juice quietly.

Gu Yanci raised his eyebrows imperceptibly: "You don't want it?"

Li Mianmian shook his head, took out the salted duck egg from his pocket, and said in a low voice: "I still have this."

"..." Yan Shinan sat up with a complicated expression: "This kid... is too good."

Gu Yanci chuckled: "You are quite good."

Li Mianmian lowered his head, the tips of his ears turning slightly red.

Some people have praised her for being well-behaved before, but never in the tone of Gu Yanci.

It made her feel an indescribable feeling in her heart, as if it was itching.

Gu Yanci squatted down in front of her, took the duck egg from her hand, knocked it on the corner of the table, peeled off a small round hole, revealing the tender white egg white inside, and then handed it back to her.

Li Mianmian was a little confused.

"Brother, go get you a spoon."

Gu Yanci stood up, quickly brought a small spoon over, and said to her: "Scoop and eat with this."

"ah……"

Li Mianmian gestured with the spoon and found that he could poke it through the hole.

"So that's how it tastes..." she murmured.

"Huh?" Gu Yanci asked, "How did you eat before?"

"That's right, peel the shells." Li Mianmian said, "One bite at a time."

Gu Yanci laughed: "One bite?"

"Um."

Li Mianmian said with some embarrassment: "I ate it secretly... for fear of being discovered..."

In fact, the time I ate it secretly, it was not duck eggs, but very small salted eggs.

Because I was almost discovered, I swallowed it before I could chew it. I couldn’t taste anything and almost choked to death, so I never ate it secretly again.

Li Mianmian didn't intend to say the rest.

She had no idea before, but now she realizes that she is pitiful and embarrassed like that.

She somehow didn't want the brother in front of her to know about her embarrassing things.

Fortunately, Gu Yanci didn't ask any more questions.

"Then don't take one bite at a time, or you'll choke." He said, "There's no need to eat secretly in the future."

"..."

For some reason, Li Mianmian suddenly felt aggrieved.

Just after he said "No need to eat secretly in the future".

From meeting her biological parents, telling them about her past life, listening to them talk about her future life, and then returning home to see her brother who was friendly to her, she had never been so aggrieved.

Now, because of a little salty duck egg, because of this brother's words, I feel particularly aggrieved.

"What's wrong?" Gu Yanci didn't expect that he would make people cry, and was stunned for a moment: "Brother said the wrong thing?"

He quickly took out a few pieces of paper and wiped her tears gently: "Don't cry. Brother, I apologize to you. I'm sorry."

The more he behaved like this, the more Li Mianmian cried.

It seems that he wants to vent out all the grievances accumulated for more than ten years.

Seeing that she was crying so much that she was convulsed, Gu Yanci simply bent one leg and knelt on the ground, moved closer, and gently patted her back to comfort her.

Yan Shinan had never seen such a battle before, so he stood up helplessly.

Then he raised his head and looked at the door as if aware -

Lan Qingwan came over at some point and was staring blankly at Li Mianmian who collapsed and cried.

Yan Shinan was worried that she would blame Gu Yanci, so he walked over in two steps and wanted to explain.

"Okay, okay." Gu Yanci didn't notice the situation here and still comforted him in a low voice, "It's all over."

Li Mianmian cried until she was dizzy and felt embarrassed. She eagerly wanted to find a place to hide herself.

So she was buried in Gu Yanci's arms without knowing it.

The girl is soft and looks very fragile.

Gu Yanci was actually not very good at comforting others, so she said a few words to Che Lulu and then simply remained silent, letting her wipe her tears and snot on her new clothes.

At the door, Yan Shinan recounted what had just happened.

Lan Qingwan nodded thoughtfully: "Maybe you have to be with peers to relax."

Yan Shinan didn't understand what she meant, so he swallowed and said, "Then don't blame Gu Yanci... He had good intentions..."

"I didn't blame him, how could I blame him?"

Lan Qingwan raised the corner of her mouth and patted Yan Shinan's shoulder, her voice choked with sobs: "I'm grateful to him... Mianmian has been depressed since the day we found her, neither crying nor making trouble... She has obviously suffered so much.

I feel wronged, but she just... just refused to say anything... Her father and I were worried all the way... It's good to cry, it's good to cry..."

-

When Li Mianmian calmed down, Lan Qingwan had already left.

Seeing the large wet stain on Gu Yanci's chest, she guiltily grabbed the hem of his clothes: "I, I'll help you wash it..."

"No, just throw it in the washing machine." Gu Yanci wiped her face carefully, "Do you feel better now?"

Li Mianmian nodded: "I'm sorry..."

Gu Yanci didn't ask her why she was crying. He just stretched out his hand and said, "The duck eggs are cold. Brother, go and heat them up for you."

Entering the kitchen, he had just soaked the duck eggs in warm water when Yan Shinan also put them in like a dog-skin plaster.

"Absolutely." Yan Shinan leaned against the wall and sighed, "When our Gu Yanci still had such a good temper, he still wanted to give people hot duck eggs when his clothes were wrinkled like this. The school belle fell in front of you before, didn't you still

Too lazy to help with dirty hands?"

"It's okay for others to say this." Gu Yan said, "You are like a heartless dog when you say this."

"Hey, why do you always curse people?" Yan Shinan clicked his tongue, "But I can actually understand why you are so nice to this little girl. Firstly, the little girl is really pitiful, and secondly, when my aunt was still alive,

Aunt Lan is indeed very helpful. As a human being, we should repay kindness - am I right?"

Gu Yanci did not answer.

After a moment of silence, Yan Shinan suddenly thought of something and said loudly: "Damn it! Are you being nice to me because you are grateful? No way, right? We are just pure brotherhood, right?"

"..." Gu Yanci covered his ears with one hand: "Get out if you are talking."

-

When the sky turned completely dark, Gu Yanci sent Li Mianmian back home.

Li Yan had fallen asleep at this time, and her parents were still sitting on the sofa waiting for her.

Lan Qingwan can also introduce this family to her daughter with peace of mind.

Li Mianmian was taken into her room.

This small room was even more beautiful than the room she imagined in her dreams.

The big pink bed is spacious and beautiful, the bay window is filled with rows of plush dolls, and there are clothes from childhood to girlhood hanging in the closet...

Whether in the previous house or the current house, her parents never forgot to prepare a room for her, even though they were not even sure they could find her before.

At this moment, Li Mianmian found a somewhat reassuring sense of belonging.

Lan Qingwan did not go back to the master bedroom that day and slept with her in her arms all night.

The next day, the couple started planning for Li Mianmian to study in the future.

Fortunately, she had just graduated from high school, and it was in a school district, so it was not difficult to enroll in school.

The trouble is, Li Mianmian used to live in the mountains, and her education level was not very high, let alone her three years of junior high school.

Li Changfeng was worried that she would not be able to keep up after school started, so he suggested finding a tutor for her and making up for her during the summer vacation.

Lan Qingwan was more concerned about Li Mianmian's mood. After thinking about it again, she decided to ask the child for his opinion.

Li Mianmian is very willing to learn, but she doesn't have many opportunities.

She was raised by an old woman in her seventies who treated her neither well nor badly. She was given enough food to keep her from starving to death.

But the old lady is old, sometimes she is confused and her mood is unstable.

When things were good, she could sit quietly in the classroom and attend class; when times were bad, the old lady would take her back from school and let her work in the fields.
