Chapter 25 25. The Tramp’s Warning
Lunch break time.
canteen.
To the cheerful rhythm of "You should be dancing", hundreds of students were enjoying lunch in the hall, chatting about yesterday's soap operas and the latest movies.
Occasionally, a few awed eyes glanced at the combination of "Master Herring and Necromancer" Rust and the violent man Dean in the corner, even though the FBI had publicly ruled out the suspicion of everyone in the school.
But most people still regard Rust, who berated and cursed Bob to death at the party, as a dangerous person.
And Dean beat up the rich second generation and gained a reputation as a vicious person, so he was also not easy to mess with.
"Holden won't see something, right?"
Rust picked up a piece of mushroom, put it in his mouth and chewed it, with a worried look on his face.
"As long as you follow the answers we rehearsed, there's no way you could screw it up."
Dean calmly ate the Cowtown Spicy Chicken Wings. As for the suspicion of his uncle mentioned by Holden, he was not worried. After all, his uncle was a truly innocent person and he had not been in Las Vegas to prove it.
Dean just planned to call him after school to let him know.
"Is it convenient for you to stay at your house for the next few days?"
"Grace works the night shift. I'm the only one at home at night. It's a bit boring. Let's go back together after school. Then you can teach me my fighting skills."
Dean nodded and glanced at his thin bamboo pole-like figure.
"I'll train you for a semester and I'll make sure you become a popular muscular man."
As Dean said, he suddenly looked up and looked behind Rust. A girl in a yellow long-collared sweater came over carrying a dinner plate.
She has long hair shawl, white skin, slightly round face, and looks like a good girl.
"Can I sit here?"
A timid smile appeared on her sweet and fair face, and she asked the two of them in a low voice,
"Britney?"
Rust smelled the faint scent of jasmine shampoo, his eyes widened in surprise, a trace of panic appeared on his handsome face, and he felt like there was phlegm stuck in his throat, making him speechless.
Dean sighed inwardly when he saw this,
"Welcome, feel free to sit down, ma'am."
Brittany sat next to Rust, tidied her long black hair shyly, and then stared down at the dinner plate.
No one spoke.
The atmosphere at the table was a little awkward for a moment.
Dean blinked desperately, and Rust woke up and looked at the girl's plate and praised,
"You also like apple pie. It's the best in the cafeteria today."
Britney's eyes lit up, her long eyelashes fluttering,
"The cinnamon syrup on this has a unique flavor, should you try it?"
"Just a little... um... do you want to try my cream of mushroom soup?"
Seeing the two of them getting into a rhythm, Dean nodded happily,
"You guys chat, I'm full and I'm going to walk around on the lawn."
…
After school.
"You guys, why are you riding a bicycle? Why don't you take Britney home?"
Dean, who was holding the handle of the car, frowned and looked at his companion who exuded the breath of spring.
"Britney takes the school bus home." Rust smiled and looked at the beautiful girl by the bus window and waved.
"You drive the Ford F150 over tomorrow and take her home in person. She won't refuse. Also, from now on, you will take the initiative to invite her to have lunch at noon every day."
Dean highly recommends.
Rust rubbed the back of his head and replied naively,
"But is this development going too fast? I want to talk to her more first to understand the situation."
"Why are you thinking so much? Having a girlfriend is not about getting married. If you are attracted to her and she has a good impression of you, then seize the opportunity to strike hard. Put a fire in her heart and make her passionate about you.
.Next year, she will be your prom partner."
"A woman's heart is set on fire? What a strange statement, but don't just encourage me, you should also get a girlfriend." Rust rubbed his chin and looked at his friend up and down with admiration - he single-handedly ended a perverted murderer.
He also knows how to fall in love, has good grades, and is simply an all-around superman.
"No."
"Is it because of Mona? The matter is over. You have avenged her. Don't dwell on the past."
Dean shook his head.
He is no longer strongly affected by the emotions left over from his predecessor, he has very weak feelings for Mona, and he is not opposed to having a girlfriend and experiencing youth.
But in this era, racial discrimination is almost obvious, and his blood and ethnicity are quite unpopular.
In the eyes of most girls, not to mention white men, Chinese men are even less attractive than black men, Hispanics, and Koreans, Japanese and Filipinos who are also Asians.
Dean also doesn’t have the “money ability” that everyone loves.
There is no condition for falling in love.
"Come on, come with me to the supermarket to buy something."
…
In order to heal the wound on his left hand as quickly as possible, Dean purchased a large amount of eggs, pork, beef, and milk.
Only by obtaining sufficient nutrition can the junior iron man's talents be used to their maximum efficiency and the wounds healed as soon as possible.
Fighting, shooting, and super powers go hand in hand.
Having said that, meat and dairy products in the United States are more affordable than Dean expected, and are cheaper than some vegetables.
There are still more than four hundred dollars left of the six hundred dollars that his uncle originally gave him, so Dean can buy as much as he likes.
After staying in Walmart for almost an hour, the two left carrying large bags of food.
Passing a street on the way home, Dean glanced and saw the sign of Barca Disco.
A memory flashed through my mind.
The testimony of the one-eyed homeless man Tyme, which spanned half a month, provided Dean with clues about the convertible car that pointed directly to Bob.
Only then can he send Bob to hell.
To some extent, Tam knew Dean's motive for killing Bob.
Thinking of this, Dean called Rust back to the ballroom.
The ones guarding the door under the monitor happened to be the muscular black and white pair from Saturday morning.
"You two, I have a question, do you know where Taimu went?"
"Who is Taimu?" The two bodyguards looked over with puzzled faces.
"A homeless man who is blind in one eye," Dean described vividly, gesticulating with his hands, "You have a good relationship with him, and you let him into the dance hall last Saturday."
"Boy, are you here to cause trouble?"
The bodyguard hugged his bulging chest muscles with his hands and looked fiercely,
"Who knows a homeless man? Which one of your eyes saw me letting him in?"
The two men blew their beards and glared, their voices as loud as a radio broadcast, not like a disguise or an excuse.
Dean handed them two dollars to calm their anger, but their story remained unchanged.
"You are in the wrong place. The beggars around you have been driven away long ago, otherwise it will affect the dance hall business."
"Tramp Tyme...has no recollection."
"Let him enter the dance hall? We have been fired by the manager ten times."
…
Did you see a ghost last Saturday?
Dean left with deep doubts.
"Why are you looking for him? Do you still want to go to the dance club and indulge yourself? He must have left Las Vegas and wandered to other places, right?"
Rust didn't have a good impression of Tam, who induced him to drink a lot of whiskey and get drunk, leaving him with a splitting headache when he woke up.
