Chapter 64 Dusk

Author: Li Zhaozhao

Day after day, Pei Shi lay in the hospital bed for a week. During this period, he still had no intention of waking up. It was just that in his coma, Pei Shi dreamed of himself.

In the bungalow, there was a huge fire behind him, burning the whole building, and the surrounding area was blocked by firefighters.

Among the crowd were the horrified-looking neighbors, the studio staff, and... the girl he loved.

The girl cried miserably, with tears all over her pretty little face. Snowflakes were pressing on her shoulders. She could not suppress her sobs. No matter how hard the people around her tried to persuade her, she could not straighten up.

He never imagined that he could see his girl in such a dream.

The heart in his chest seemed to be torn apart.

The pain was so painful that I was about to die.

He wanted to go over and pick up the girl, but the snow under her knees had half melted and she looked extremely cold. If she knelt down again, she might get frostbite.

It's just that her soft body seems to be in a different time and space from his, and he can't touch her.

Pei Shi's heart was softened by her tears, and the girl's face was reflected in his soot-like eyes.

This is his baby, but he can't even hold her up and sit down.

I could only helplessly watch her feel sad, and watch her faint at his funeral.

Even though it's a dream, it's so real.

On a winter night, in an old hospital building, a lithe black cat climbed over the wall, a pair of almond-shaped eyes watching everything through the dark night.

Yun Ruozhi was lying on the edge of the hospital bed, breathing shallowly with exhaustion. She didn't know how many days and nights had passed, but she remained unshakable and guarded Pei Shi, for fear that this man would disappear from her world again.

The sound of a man yelling at his family came from the ward next door, making the whole ward lively.

Yun Ruozhi seemed to be awakened by the noise and frowned uneasily. She wanted to open her eyes and take a look, but she was tired.

At this moment, someone reached out and covered her ears. The cold hands were extremely cold.

But the noisy sounds were finally isolated.

At night, tranquility was restored.

Yun Ruozhi thought to himself: This guy is pretty good.

etc……

No one can come in to Pei Shi's ward, so who can be so kind as to help her cover her ears?

Yun Ruozhi raised his head blankly.

The breeze blew against her face, and she seemed to be able to hear the beating of her own heart.

Pei Shi just leaned on the hospital bed, with a smile in his gentle eyes, and whispered in a hoarse voice: "Zhizhi, come here."

She fell into his arms.

Tears welled up instantly.

Pei Shi reached out to catch her, placed his palm on her back, and gently comforted her.

Yun Ruozhi wanted to open his mouth to say something, but Pei Shi shook his head and said, "Keep your voice down, or people will come in soon."

Yun Ruozhi then remembered that they had said that when Pei Shi woke up, she would have to leave the ward.

Yun Ruozhi looked at him blankly and asked with a slight breath, "Have you been awake for a long time? How do you know so clearly."

Pei Shi smiled in her ear and said, "I thought of it with my brain."

Sure enough, they are people with high IQs, but they are different.

She buried her head in Pei Shi's arms. After so many days of being on tenterhooks, she finally put her mind back to reality.

Listening to Pei Shi's heartbeat, she understood that her Pei Shi was fine.

Pei Shi touched the girl's hair, and all he recalled in his mind were the heartbreaking scenes of the girl in his dream.

The girl dropped her tears on his shoulder and hugged him tightly.

He comforted: "Don't cry."
