I saw someone suggesting that exporting 2 billion bullets and 10 million rounds of artillery shells would be too exaggerated. This is the data I checked when writing:

China's ammunition reserves are based on world war reserves. According to available data, there are almost 50 billion bullets in storage and an annual production capacity of 2 billion rounds (15% of production). China exports 340 million rounds of bullets every year, of which the bulk is exported to the United States.

China's artillery shell reserve is 1 billion rounds, including 40,000 cannons of 122 mm or above, and 30,000 cannons below. A base number is 80 to 400. A base number for all artillery is 5.6 million to 28 million rounds of artillery shells.

On the 28th day of 1979, 4,000 artillery shells of various calibers were fired, with 1.06 million rounds. Each cannon fired 265 rounds (artillery), and the guns of each company were not counted. In the subsequent rounds of battle, 2.4 million rounds of various types of artillery shells were fired in the first five years.

In ten years, the artillery shell reserves of the two military regions were not even exhausted, and the production directly made up for it, and there was still a lot more. (There was a saying at the time that the artillery shells that were about to expire were used and the inventory was removed)

During the Iran-Iraq war, more than six billion bullets and millions of artillery shells (4,000 tanks, various types of rocket launchers, cannons, etc.) were exported.

In peacetime, China's annual artillery shell production capacity is about 5 to 6 million rounds (in the entire Russia and Ukraine, Russia uses tens of thousands of artillery shells every day, which is about 10 million artillery shells a year, which is only equivalent to emptying a large artillery shell storage warehouse)

The above data was found online, and there may be errors, but the difference should not be big, so exporting two billion rounds of artillery shells and exporting 10 million rounds of artillery shells is not an exaggeration. It is assumed to be destocking.
