Chapter 178 "Cutting-edge Black Magic: The Secret"(1/2)

The next day at work, Sherlock took Amy to the office with her phantom.

Even if employees in normal departments have permission to move the phantom, they generally do not use this method to the Ministry of Magic.

Because it is really impolite to move directly into the office.

But in the Department of Mystery Affairs, there is no such concern. Each office is equivalent to being in another private space in the Ministry of Magic, so there is no need to worry about disturbing others.

Amy is interested in the paper planes in the Ministry of Magic that are used to convey information.

These are actually folded out of special magic paper. When Sherlock first arrived yesterday, he went to the logistics department to get a large stack.

Usually he doesn't contact everyone, so he basically doesn't need it, so he can let Amy spend it casually.

In the office, Amy followed the paper plane flying under the ceiling, circling under the ceiling and Sherlock finished reading another magical information taken out of the Prophecy Hall.

He still has no gains.

After all, the things in the Prophecy Hall are just a prediction made by the wizard about the future, rather than traveling to the future.

The entire magic world seems to have never been able to study through the future, or the time that has left traces is easy to figure out, but it has not happened yet. No one has experienced the time but no one knows how to discover it.

The more you understand time, the more she feels that she has little hope to return to the right time.

It seems that wizards from ancient times to the present have not been involved in this area, and Sherlock himself has no idea how to start.

Sherlock thought for a moment, watching Amy, who was no longer chasing the plane, but sitting on the carpet, throwing the plane out, and then letting it fly back on its own, stood up from the chair and helped Amy tidy up her somewhat messy hair.

"Can you do me a favor, Amy?"

Amy blinked bright eyes.

"What does John need Amy to do?"

Sherlock took her out of the office, then left the time hall and came to the black hall.

As soon as they walked out, the twelve black doors turned with the round wall. After two or three seconds, the transmission stopped.

"Which of these rooms do you think will be helpful to me?" Sherlock asked.

Amy tilted her head, looked at the black doors around her, and did not answer his question immediately.

She took a small step, walked around the wall hesitantly, and then stopped in front of a black door.

"Amy thinks this should be helpful to John." A tangled expression appeared on her delicate face, "but Amy is a little uncertain."

Sherlock walked over and touched her head.

"I believe Amy's feeling."

As he said that, he stretched out his hand and gently pushed open the black door.

This is a room sherlock has been to before.

The room was dimly lit, square, and sunken in the center, forming a huge stone pit, about half a football field.

In the center of the stone pit stands an old, worn arch with no walls around it, and a broken black curtain hanging on it.

When Sophie brought him to the Department of Mystery, he saw the scene inside.

Now that he is a clerk in the Mysterious Affairs Department, he naturally knows the name of the room.

Hall of Death.

A room dedicated to studying death.

Sherlock frowned slightly. He didn't know why Amy thought the room was helpful to him, but he walked into the room.

There is obviously no wind inside, but it makes people feel a gust of cold air constantly circling in this space.

The stone steps were built very steeply, and Sherlock had to be careful every step down, and Amy had to rely on his help if she wanted to come down.

Soon they arrived at the center of the raised stone platform.

On the ancient arch, the tattered black curtains were automatically blown away. Just as she approached the stone platform, Sherlock suddenly heard someone talking vaguely!

The sounds were chaotic but subtle, and the source was from behind the black curtain, as if someone was talking or quarreling.

Sherlock's brows became tighter and tighter.

Instead of rashly walking up the stone platform, he walked around and looked around from all angles, but did not find any figure.

"Did you hear anyone talking? Amy," he asked.

Amy shook her head in a daze.

"Amy heard nothing."

Sherlock stared at the gently floating curtain silently, and found that no matter whether he walked to the front or back of the curtain, he could hear the sound coming from behind it.

Goose bumps appeared on his arms, and a creepy feeling rose in his heart.

So where did those sounds come from?

At this moment, Amy suddenly pulled his arm.

"Here, John, there is something behind this door."

Sherlock looked in the direction of her finger and found that at the bottom of the stairs and the space between the stone platform, there were several black doors leading to other rooms.

He didn't think about the sound behind the curtain anymore, and followed Amy's guidance and walked to the door she mentioned.

There is no difference between the door in the Death Hall and the door in the black hall outside. There is no decoration on it, and there is not even a door handle.

Sherlock put his hand on the door and used a little force, and he opened a gap in the door.

The warm yellow, gentle light revealed from the gap, and he opened the door completely, and a small study room showed his presence.

The environment in the study room is completely opposite to the style of the death hall.

There are lights inside that are not bright but warm, and there are no dark or cold stones, but quaint old bookshelf full of traces of time.

There are not many books on the bookshelf, but there are dozens of books.

Sherlock and Amy walked in. It didn't seem like a place where people came often, but the decoration was old and there was no dust.

It seems like someone comes to clean it every day, very clean.

Sherlock walked to the bookshelf, picked up a book from it, and saw the title of the book on the cover.

"Exploration on the Magic Stone Immortal Pill"

When he saw the title of the book, he was stunned at first, and then picked up other books.

"The Secret of Immortality", "On Eternity", "How to Escape from Death", "The Living Eternal Life"...

Each of these dozens of books has a method of immortality, and this study has research on immortality!

When Sherlock saw these things, he did not show any ecstatic expression, and he obviously felt something was wrong.

Wizards are also human beings. As long as they are human beings, there are few who are not afraid of death. Not everyone is Dumbledore, who regards death as the beginning of the other end of the journey, even people like Voldemort are no exception.

If these books on immortality were really useful, they would not have been thrown into a compartment in the Death Hall, and even no protection was done.

He opened several of the books and read them roughly, and the contents in them completely confirmed his conjecture.

The titles of these books are more than those of the other, but in fact, none of the research on eternal life is successful.

Most of them can only extend the lifespan of a wizard, and even if it is extended, the side effects will be very large.

After reading a few simple books, Sherlock lost interest in these books. Although he was not as open-minded as Dumbledore, he was not as obsessed with eternal life or something.

What's more, these books are basically useless.

Just when he was wondering if Amy had a wrong feeling, there was no help from the things here.

Below the bookshelf, he suddenly found another magic book that seemed to have fallen to the ground and only exposed a corner of the book from the ground.

Sherlock discovered this by accidentally lowering his head. After seeing this book, he picked it up and saw the title of the book on the cover clearly.

"The Dark Magic: Revealed"

The title of this book is very different from other books on the bookshelf, and Sherlock clearly felt that it was extraordinary.

However, he did not rashly open the book here directly, and he could still see the shady black magic words on the title.

Magic books are the medium for many dark wizards to pass on curses. Before checking the content of this book, they naturally have to be fully prepared.

He has read all the other books on the bookshelf. Some of the ideas about immortality in it are strange, but Sherlock does not mean to study it in depth. No matter from any perspective, these books have no help to his current situation.

If Amy's feelings were not wrong, then the only book that could help him was the one in his hand.

Putting the secret into the pocket of her robe, Sherlock takes Amy out of the Death Hall.

Before closing the black door, he finally took a deep look at the dark curtain, as if he wanted to see it through, but he saw nothing but appearance.

When he returned to the time hall, he did not let Amy enter the office with him, but asked her to stay in the time hall outside for a while, and then come in after he finished testing the black magic book.

Sherlock closed the office door and Amy wandered around the time hall.

At first she was attracted by the hourglass of the conspicuous hummingbird creature, staring at the bird that was constantly changing back and forth between the broken shell and back shell for a long time.

"Like the sun and the moon."

She muttered in a low voice, then turned her eyes to the time converters on the counter, tilting her head slightly.
